I copied a home video to itunes but it plays a minute and then stops

I created a slideshow with music using Movie Maker. I selected to output as MPEG-4/H.264 Video file. I then wanted to import to iTunes to play on my Apple TV. It looks like the file gets imported and shows the length of the file, but when I play it through the video stops after a minute and 1/2 and will not continue at all. Anyone experience this problem? If so, what can I do? I also know there's no hiccups in the file because I've watched this entire 30 minute video using Quicktime before proceding to iTunes import.

In a playlist, my iTunes will play only one track and then it stops. Won't move to the next song, won't work in shuffle mode, just plays once and that's it! Any ideas? This just started a few days ago, maybe with a recent iTunes update? I'm in 11.0.3 (and of course, my AppleCare has just expired).

I would check to make sure that the songs in your playlist are check in the checkbox section. If they are not the songs will play and then stop once it is done playing like you have described.

Why does downloaded videos from iTunes freeze for a few minutes and then continues. this happen with my iPod Touch 4G and iPad 2.

When I try to watch downloaded TV and Movies from iTunes they will pause for a minuite or 2 and then continue. I have an iPod Touch 4G and an iPad 2. Both have the same problem when trying to watch the shows. Plus. When I try to watch the iTunes TV and Movies on my Windows 7 Desktop the audio is never in sync and usually stops playing.

Im having the same problem with my g4 iPod touch and it is driving me nuts. The freezes happen with downloaded movies ON my ipod, not my computer so these suggestions won't work. Good luck. I tried to do this to cue sound effects for a theater, and never found anything. iTunes will definitely *not* do this, nor was I able to find any player that would play one song at a time in a single playlist.
In my case, I ended up using AutoHotkey to tie individual tracks to the keys on an external keypad. This was an excellent solution for my problem, but I don't think AHK runs on Macs.
One workaround is to make a folder, and fill it with *shortcuts* to the songs you want (ie, the actual files). You can change the names to start with numbers to get them in the right order. Then if you double-click on one it will play just that song. You'll still have to double-click on each song.
Might be a good time to learn AppleScript It would also be pretty easy to write a Java app to do this.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

Itunes doesn't play certain songs and just stops working

it was fine a couple of weeks ago but now it just doesn't play some songs and whenever I doule click those songs it went straight to "Itunes has stopped working." and I have to close the program. Today I just bought a song from Itunes store and it doesn't play either and Itunes stops working as well!!
Please help. this is so annoying.

Struggling with itunes, will only open after several attempts. When I attach my ipod it starts to sync and shows step 1 of 5 but only gets so far and then stops. I left the ipod connected

It won't even let me closedown itunes, just freezes and I end up having to switch off my laptop and restart. It's only recently that it started doing this and I've just bought an ipad so I'd like to get the problem sorted as I can't sync that until I do.

I had a similar problem, all you can do at present to rectify this is to grab your playlist or new created playlist or song from the main library or playlist and drop it into the ipod tab under devices and it will auto sync the changes or songs. Hope this helps.
There seems to be a problem with the syncing of itunes 11 (mine is 11.0.5) when you just use the normal sync method. the above should work and has worked for me when transfering a playlist straight into the ipod it automatically syncs.

I wanted to sync my ipod to my itunes but it went all black and then they say it is in recuperation mode ? then error 1604 appears and i tried everything and still not working what can i do ?

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I just got a MacBook Pro 10.8.2. but facebook only works for about 3 minutes and then stops loading.

My computer is completely new with nothing on it at all. It was bought in the USA but i am living and using the computer in Israel, i dont know if that matters. every other website that i have gone on works just fine, facebook is the only one that stops loading after a few minutes. Try going to Starbucks and connect thru their WiFi and see if you experience same issue. If not, it may be your wireless router not compatible to wireless-N built in the macbook pro. It could be your router cycling on and off its connection without even noticing it. Do you have any other wifi at home that doesn't experience this issue?

ITunes Plays One Song and then Stops

I have had no problems with my iTunes until this morning. I usually use my arrows to skip to different songs and this morning that option didn’t work. So I found the song I wanted to play, clicked on it, and the song played but as soon as it was done iTunes stops playing songs. It will not go on to the next one. I have made sure that I have the “repeat all” button and the “shuffle” button clicked on like always. I even re-downloaded the program to see if that would work. It’s driving me crazy because I usually turn on my music and just let it run while I work. Now I have to click and manually start a new song every time. I have looked through all the preferences, settings, and help topics but nothing seems to help. If you guys know what to do to fix this please let me know! Thank you SO MUCH in advance!!!

Cannot drag & drop clip in Home Video of itune 11.1.3.8

It has been a few months since I last drop video clip onto the itune and then transfer it to my iphone by clicking the Sync button.
Today, when I tried to drop more clips into my Home Videos under the Movies to transfer to my iphone, I NO LONGER able to do so because, when I tried to drag clip over the itunes, the cursor icon immediately changes to a "do not enter" (i.e. a line across a circle) as soon as the cursor is over the itunes appl.
I then tried deleting a couple of clips which are currently on my iphone (Home Videos on iTunes), and then tried re-add it back, I faced the same problem.
PS: I had recently updated itunes to current verion 11.1.3.8 and I'm runing Windows 7 on my PC.
Can someone please help and explain to me what is happening ?

Having the same identical type problem with iPod Touch 5th Gen with iTunes. We have updated iOS to 7.0.4 (11B554a) and iTunes to 11.1.3.8.
We have tried the same steps as you have. I am just sorry SJ is no longer with us. My mistake is doing software upgrades early should have waited at least 9 months, My Bad, as the sayings go.
Was going to buy another iPod Touch for my husband but maybe should forget that, it is apparent that Apple needs to hire a few people who know how to test software.

Converted home videos to itunes not working with ipod touch

So I finally was able to convert some home movies to itunes but now they will not work with my ipod touch. I get a error message saying "can not be played on this ipod". I also can't get the movies to work with my ipod video (classic) either, how do I fix this? And yes there is enough space for the videos.
