I could not get firefox to work so i uninstalled it and tried to re-install it and now it wont install and im having to use IE. I want to get my firfox back so i can have my bookmarks back. Why cant i install it?
I also tried a system restore and it wouldnt work after that either. I can not even get it to install when i go to the website to install it, it goes through the whole process like it installed it, but it never shows up.
You can reinstall Firefox by overwrite it.(Remember download version lasted). Don't insintall your old version Firefox.And all bookmark,add-on will not be deleted.

Hi - I created a form in Adobe Livecycle and have a button on it to send the form via email. It worked, but only for those with PC. However, I could not get it to work with Apple loaded with Yosemite even with reader installed . Is there a way i can make it work for apple / Mac? It worked fine on a mac using Mountain Lion and reader

Could not get firefox to start this time, have been using it for years
I have been using firefox for years on my hp laptop. It happened that now I could not get it opened. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, still clicking on the firefox symbol and waited. It just stoped downloading. I have tried many times. Other browsers still work.

I keep getting the Software Update for Firefox 5.0. I try to update after viewing the informatiion choosing English and MacOS X. It downloads and then I get the message: "Acrobat could not open ‘Firefox 5.0.dmg’ because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded)."
I would be most grateful for any help; I am 78 and trying but not succeeding. Ah, the scourge of age.Sorry, Firefox 4.0.1 isn't supported any longer, that's why you are getting re-directed. Firefox 5.0 is a security update for 4.0.1; Firefox 4.0 didn't get that update, but Firefox 3.6.18 did. Best to stick with 3.6.18 until whatever you are using for those logins is updated for Firefox 5.0.

Each time I try to install itunes I get a windows installer message telling me that the installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.....
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

When I click on an Icon on my desktop to take me to a site (such as Google) I get a message that it could not find the location. Then it goes ahead and opens a Firefox window with the site anyway as if the message never happened. Then when I close the window I see that the message is still there. I have to close it separately. Any suggestions? Oh, and this only happens if Firefox is NOT already active. If I have another Firefox window open when I click on the Icon, it just opens as expected. This message appears no matter which site Icon I select. It did not happen before I upgraded to ver 9.0.

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

After connecting my Apple TV this morning, I have no sound. It is hooked up to play through my television speakers. Any ideas on how to get sound? Also, I tried hooking it up through my surround receiver, but could not get it to come up on my ty screen, what can I do to correct this problem?
Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.
Also make sure that you have correctly mapped the input port on your sound system to the output, if you are unsure about how to do this, refer to the manual that came with your sound system.
Have you tried playing various content sources (i.e. podcasts, music, iTunes Store video, other video etc), do you have the same problem with all types of content? If you use optical you might also check that you can see a red light at the end of your optical audio cable. Is your optical audio cable plugged straight into your sound system, or does it go through a switch or other device? -

Let's check your Windows system.
1. Have you done all the important windows updates and service Packs on your system. If not do it now. START button, type in Windows Update and ENTER. Select 'CHECK FOR UPDATES'
2. Let's check your Windows system files for possible file corruption
SCAN and repair possible Windows system file corruption:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
type in
sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
Restart the computer if it did actually repair any files.
3. Check your system for possible Malware. But you have to do it in WIndows Safe Mode.
Start your computer in "Safe mode with networking", go to this link download a free version of Malwarebyte.

Install and perform update immediately, then do a full SCAN. Remove malware if it indeed finds any. Restart computer to regular windows to let Malwarebyte complete the removal.
To start your computer in safe mode
Press and hold the F8 key as your computer starts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you'll need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.
On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the "safe mode with networking" option, and then press Enter. Log on to your computer with a user account that has administrator rights.
When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of your screen. To exit safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally. -
I have two faults! 1, an error comes up in Ps CC 2014 "could not apply the saved panel configuration, restring to default and my tools have disappeared completely and anything ive tried I cannot get them back not even the drop down menu in 'window' helps at all. And 2, Lr everytime I load it up it gives me the option to retry or switch to and it takes a while for me to even get anywhere with it I think it has something to do with the catalogs? I've been using these programs for a few years now on a Mac...no problem but when I use a PC when I'm away coz it's the (only) comp available these happen PC's are so useless! I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

I use it in...:Small homeBefore I suggest you any troubleshooting steps, I would like to ask few questions. Like – in what manner you were trying to connect Airport Express with the Linksys/Cisco router E1200?
Basically, you can think of Airport Express as a wireless extension cord for replacing an Ethernet cable, a USB cable, and an audio speaker cable. So, it suppose to work wirelessly with the router. So, in this case you have to use the Linksys/ Cisco router E1200 as a Base Station, with the Apple AirPort as the repeater/secondary access point. (The protocol for this is called WDS. Apple's routers support it; the Linksys does as well.
Here are the steps to configure;
Configure your Linksys router (open a web browser to http://192.168.1.1):
Assign a wireless channel. You will have to set the same channel on the Airport Express.
Write down the MAC address for the wireless interface (under the Status tab).
Provide the security level which can match with the Apple Airport.
Configure your Airport Express (using Airport Utility):
Under Airport -> Wireless, set the Wireless Mode to "Participate in a WDS Network", and set the network name, security, password, and channel to match that on the E1200.
Now you'll have a new tab: under WDS, set the WDS Mode to "WDS remote” and the WDS Main to the MAC address you wrote down above. Also make sure to that "Allow wireless clients" is checked!
Under the Internet tab, set Connection Sharing to "Off (Bridge Mode)".
Click Update. Wait for the Airport Express to restart.
Check it:
Once the Airport Express is restarted, reconnect to your wireless network (if you've been disconnected). Make sure you can see both your main Linksys router (in a web browser) and the Airport Express (in Airport Utility). If you can only see one, it didn't work. Try disabling security on both. -
I set iCloud up last week and the next day when out in the field I could not get Outlook to open up. I want to change my settings so I can get mail at home or in the field, not just when i'm at home. I have a PC and fios internet with Verizon at home. I have a Sprint air card in the field or access an available wifi. I want to change my settings to allow for receiving email in the field.
