The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.

Does anyone know of an e-reader app for the iphone that has text to speech capability? I have a Kindle 3G that can read whole pdf documents and books but I cannot figure out how to do it on my iphone 4.
All of the apps I have found on the App store either do not have the text to speech capability or if they have it they will only read a page at a time or simply read the text you paste into their window. I really do not understand what is so difficult about having this feature as Kindle provides it--though Amazon does not make the feature available on its iPhone 4 app.
Please help.thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.

When printing envelopes, I have a logo next to my name on the return address. I would like to remove the logo but I cannot figure out how. Any suggestions?

You can change the default download location by going to ''Tools > Options > General''. The [[Options window - General panel]] has some extra information on all of the options available.

For the people who state that it does nothing...
That's because something's messed up with the icons. It makes it seem like the extension is not there.
But it's there. The icon it uses is the set of left, right, up, down, etc.

You'll find some good video tutorials with these Google searches:
(search Google for these terms without quotes)
* indesign paragraph styles tutorial
* indesign table of contents tutorial
* InDesign paragraph styles in table of contents tutorial
The simple principle is: InDesign creates a TOC by "pulling out" heading paragraphs from your document. To help it know which paragraphs are the headings you want in the TOC, you need to create paragraph styles, and apply them to the heading paragraphs. Then, when you perform Layout > Table of Contents, you choose the heading paragraph styles, and run the process.
It may be daunting if you've never done anything like this. But, if you've done it in MS Word or other word processor, the principle is the same - make the headings identifiable in some way, so the software can extract them.
Look at the video tutorials, create a heading paragraph style, create a TOC, and let us know the result.
If your document is one of several that are gathered into an InDesign book, search Google for terms like "working with InDesign books tutorial," and "InDesign book table of contents tutorial," without quotes.
It would help if you can provide screen shots of your result. Search Google for terms like "how to create a screen shot on mac," or "how to create a screen sot on windows," without quotes. It also helps to display hidden characters when you make the screen shots. Search Google for terms like "how to display InDesign hidden characters," without quotes. Search Google for terms like "how to post a screen shot on an adobe user forum," without quotes.

If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?

Help please! My phone has some kind of issue, besides being old, it has "magnified" I don't know what happened. I cannot figure out how to get it to go back to normal? It just happened when I touched a text message to read it. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I can air print documents and email from my iphone 5, but cannot figure out to print a contact from Outlook from my iphone.
As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you. -
I've been having problems with Firefox 4.0 locking up pretty much since I installed it. I did add a few add-ons and all I can think of to do is to remove them. I can't figure out how to get rid of them.
Well, When I click on Add-ons I don't get a list of add-ons. AN Add-ons tab opens which shows lots of other great add-ons but I can't get a list os ones that I've installed and have no option to remove. I'm on version 4.0. Maybe the "remove" as described is for an earlier version?

I made my own Apple ID because when I was logged into my dad's my family was receiving my texts from other people. I want to add my device to my dad's "find my iphone" app but without signing into his Apple ID on my phone because that was causing them to get my texts. I was told by Apple I could add my device to his by signing into icloud.com but there is no option that I can find to add my device. And I don't want to log back in to his.. Any ideas???
Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

How do I get my 300 playlists back on my IPhone after installing new IPhone software? The playlists still show in my ITunes on my computer but not in my IPhone. When I switch to synch by playlists and begin checking off the lists, the memory bar fills up. These lists are suppose to be in the ICloud and not go against my memory . I had access with my playlists to more than 18,000 somgs on my IPhone until this new Apple IPhone software update came alg. What do I do?
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

They told me at Best Buy, I would be able to activate the phone from home, but I can't find any information on how to do it.
AT&T's website only seems to help if you ordered the phone from them. I paid in full for the phone in order to surprise her for a gift, because I knew if they activated it there, her old phone would stop working. Any help is greatly appreciated!Hi CMoe
Well, you do have a little bit of an issue - to activate the phone you need a carrier and a number for it to work as a phone else it is an iPod
Ergo - you have to transfer the number of your child's phone to the new phone
With AT&T you should be able to just get the SIM card out - cut it to the size of Nano SIM and pop it into the new phone and the connection will work
Now of course if your child has pictures, music and contacts - they will need to be transferred over.
