I created an event I want to delete but it keeps popping up

and then I have to force quit the program!
The event had too many charachters in it too which makes it take up the entire screen in height when it pops up.
thanks

Pages doesn't "see" a page as you & I do. Pages sees logical pages, separated by section breaks, rather than physical pages. You can see this by showing thumbnails, View > Show Page Thumbnails, & then clicking on a page thumbnail. The yellow border around groups of pages shows the logical page. You need to insert section breaks before & after the physical pages to separate them.

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.

You are pressing on the app, right? Are others jiggling? There are some system apps that cannot be deleted, such as phone, calendar, ipod, etc.

If you are the author of the content, then you already have all the rights.   Of course if your book contains photos or other things created by other authors, you may need to acquire the rights to use those in your book.

It should not take very long. Up to thirty seconds tops depending on your Wi-Fi network.
Try rebooting your Wi-Fi router. Turn off the router for 30 seconds then turn it back on. After the router completes its startup routine and indicates a good connection to the internet start you iPad again and see if it will connect.
If you still have problems you might try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. Maybe one at your local coffee shop or library.

  • I have apps on my iPhone that I want to delete but do not want them deleted from my iPad.  How do I know which ones are iPhone specific?

In order to save using data when traveling I want to delete apps from my iPhone that I don't need.  However I do want these apps on my iPad and with the new IOS8.0.2 and Yosemite I think they are all now integrated so that if I delete from one device it is deleted from all and if I add to one device it is added to all.  Is this correct?
    1.  How can I tell which apps are specific to iPhone and which are specific to iPad?
    2.  How can I tell how much data is being used per app?
    3.  How can I tell if an app is running in the background?
    4.  When I turn off cellular data does that limit the app from functioning always or just restrict it to wi-fi?
    5.  Do I benefit from having Bluetooth on if I don't use a head phone or other device?
    6.  Is a Personal Hotspot more secure than using paid hotel wi-fi?

Deleting on one device does not affect another device.
You can delete the App's on the iPhone and nothing will happen to the ones on the iPad.
    1.  You don't need to.
    2.  Settings->Cellular->"Use Cellular Data For" will show the data usage for each App since the last statistics reset
    3.  Settings->General->Background App Refresh Will show which Apps are allowed to get data in the background
    4.  It restricts it to Wifi.  If the App requires internet access and Data is turned off, it will have to wait until the device is connected to a wifi network.
    5.  Nope, You just use up battery since the BT radio will continuously look for nearby BT devices.
    6.  The Personal Hotspot uses your cellular internet connection from your phone or other cellular device; whether you consider that secure or not I cannot say.  It also depends on what you are doing while connected to the Hotel's wifi. I would not do online banking while on vacation though.

  • Trimming - I want to delete various segments, keeping the remainder

QT 7 Pro Trimming problem -- I have a long movie clip, of which I want to keep various short bits. It is possible to simply delete segments that I don't want so I am left with only the bits that I DO want?  This interface allows me to only select what I want to keep, and in doing so deletes the rest -- of which is footage I want to keep in addition to my initial selection.  QT 7 on my older iMac (OS 10.4.8) can do this - you select a segment by moving two little knobs to the start point and end point of the segment.  Deleting it still leaves me with the rest of the movie. I keep deleting segments I don't want, and end up with only that that I do want.  Is this not possible anymore on QT 7 Pro my newer MBPro?

QuickTime Player Pro has worked the same on any machine or OS for the last (nearly) seven years. That's how long version 7 has been available. What you did in Tiger still works the same in Lion.
The "two little knobs" are known as in and out markers and when you set them, either with the keyboard shortcuts i and o keys, drag while holding the shift key or drag each of the markers you've made a "selection".
A selction can be something you want to keep or something you want to remove. If you're trying to remove (trim) you would make selections of what you wanted to delete which would leave you with only what you wanted to keep.
If you are running Snow Leopard or Lion be aware that it includes QuickTime X or 10.1 and it also has a trim feature. It doesn't edit the same way as QuickTime Player 7 Pro and its version of trimming would require you to save the file each time you made an edit.
Make sure you're using QuickTime Player 7 Pro and not QuickTime Player 10 or 10.1.

  • In my Picture Library of all of my cover artwork, there is one that I want to delete, but I can't?

In iTunes in my Picture Library (where all of my cd artwork is)---there is one cd cover that I want to delete and I cannot.  I know I can go into my pictures and delete that way-----BUT, this blank white square is now in my Picture Library and I cannot get it deleted?  It just doesn't make any sense.  I have Googled it and it seems there are alot of others who cannot delete it as well once it is in the Picture Library when you pull up Photos.   Any help will be greatly appreciated.  BTW. there isn't any 'garbage can' found anywhere when I play with deleting the 'photo.'

  • Mail, I have recently been receiving inappropriate mail which I have put to junk and deleted but they keep on coming sometimes 3 or 4 a day, how can I get rid of these once and for all.  I am a lady of advancing years and do not want this.

I have recently started to receive inappropriate mail.  Although I have never opened it I can tell that it is of a pornographic nature.  As well as this I constantly receive mail offering me P**** enlargement drugs.  Since I am a lady of advanced years I want neither of theses !!!  Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this unwanted stuff.  I receive at least 4 of them everyday and am quite frankly fed up putting them into junk and deleting them, but still they keep coming.  Can anyone help please.

If your email address ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com then your email is located on Apple's iCloud service. To access that email via the web, click on this link:

  • I have saved web pages on my iPhone 5 and want to delete one while keeping others - how?

Please help me get rid of ONE website I have saved on iPhone 5 while retaining others!

You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.
