Root certificates are stored in the file nssckbi.dll and if you've disabled build-in root certificates then it is possible that they get re-enabled. There is however no reason to disable any of the build-in root certificates.

When i open up a new firefox window all the others ones i have minimized are brought up to how do i stop this

in the past week i have had a minor problem.when i have several web sites open in separate windows (like AOL and my space) and i have them minimized if i want to click on the Firefox icon it to open another site it brings up all the other minimized windows.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the browsing history.
Session restore works more reliable if you choose Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time" instead of relying on the Save & Quit dialog.

How do i uninstall this latest version? I have trend micro anti virus and it said you are incompatible at this time. you did not give me a choice of opting out so I am opting out of using firefox since my protection is now gone.

Several days ago firefox wanted to upgrade and I refused because trend micro was not supported. Today it automatically made the change. I have trend micro and your message said it would not work. I would think that an antivirus program would be one of the most important features to be able to work. Either fix it or tell me how to roll back to the other version. I've had almost every issue you've had. Finally on Friday the screen blacked out. It was obviously still charged, since I could hear the message ring, but when I tried to light up the display it didn't light so I was unable to get to it unless I removed the battery. Then, as soon as the display timed out, I couldn't get it lit up again without removing battery. I had the same slow movements throughout the display as well as slow text messaging. Every issue you had other than the alarm clock (that always worked well).
I took it in yesterday and, after over an hour spent there with a 'professional', I still had no answers. He told me to come home and copy everything from my sd card to my computer, then re-format my card. Well, my phone didn't even recognize that I had an sd card installed!! Nor did my computer!
So then I got to experimenting...I removed the card and viola!!!!!! The phone worked GREAT! It's never worked so fast! I then installed my husbands sd card to see if it was my phone's card reader or my card. Turns out that the phone still worked great with his card installed and it did recognize his card in my phone. So, my conclusion is that I need a new card. I couldn't believe the difference in speed of everything! It's like a brand new phone!
As for the hard reset...I did that over the weekend, before I could get to a verizon store. It didn't work at all.
I'd say, do the same thing I did and see if that works. Can't hurt!!! Please keep me posted. I'd like to see what you find out

Trend-Micro NSC Firefox extension is incompatible with Firefox 10

When I open the add-ons screen for Firefox 10, I get a faded out message that Trend-Micro NSC Firefox extension is incompatible with Firefox 10. I've contacted Trend Micro about updates and they said that it would be a few weeks before they release an updated version. Why do you release and force updates when important extensions are not ready?

Firefox is on a time based release cycle, every 6 weeks we release a new version (more or less a few days). There are over 6,000 extensions available for Firefox, almost all of them from third-party developers. When Firefox switched to a new release cycle back in the beginning of 2011, all of those extension developers we notified of the change and how it would impact them. Some of them choose not to mark their software as compatible until it work for them. If Firefox were to wait until even 80% of the extensions were marked as compatible, there would never be an update. The responsibility to update add-ons is on the extension developer. Unfortunately, some choose to wait :/
Now, all that said, Mozilla does want to ease the pain of upgrades, so there are lots of ways we are working to improve the update process. All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

But what I can remember is that another window opened and asked me to choose 'something' (an icon or banner or?), I thought I must click something (I guess I should read all clearly). Firefox did update to 3.6.4, but it also inserted some sort of what might be called a banner? But it only partly covers the right one- half of my 3 toolbars at the top of the Firefox window. It can't be used for anything as it is just a mess of colors and unknowns, except what looks like a 'top' and what I recognize as a Firefox icon (but only partly visible)!! Now, what it does do is partly hide that whole portion of the toolbars and they are hard to read and in turn make this 'thing' impossible to figure out, if I would care to? I can't find anyway to remove it or use it?? But since the Firefox icon is on it, I guess you should know what it is and how to trash it. I am sorry for this occurrence caused my my carelessness, but I'm not much of a computer person ----HELP! Thank you for any help. Judi

Here should be the persona (lightweight theme)
and a button "Remove"
Click it (button Remove), and it (Persona, this mix of colors) should go away instantly.

I have reset Firefox, followed all the various instructions for ALL the faults and it is STILL not working properly !

Various problems :
Firefox crashing, missing toolbar, bookmarks disappeared (reset and now they won't work at all) , cannot set homepage again (despite following all instructions), shockwave flash constantly unresponsive (again, all instructions followed and no change), Firefox especially slow in facebook, sound volume keeps switching itself off.
I have gone through each problem with all the suggested "fixes" AND reset Firefox, but it is worse now than before !
Just about had enough.
