I'd buy more tunes if...

There was a link between my song library and the wireless iTunes store like there is in the regular iTunes store. The store is too hard to browse to be useful to me, but if I were listening to a song and could easily link to more songs from that album I would be much more apt to buy tunes on this thing

Great idea john! I agree it can be cumbersome to search for a song that might be on the same album. a direct link like in itunes might be better! I find myself thinking hmmm it would be nice to have another song or 2 from the same album.I suggest also leaving feedback aat th elink below I did.

  • Buying more then one license for FCPX

    Hi,
    I'v got problem.
    I'v got 4 imac computers.
I need to buy 4 licenses of Final Cut Pro X...
As far i bought one license through the app store, using my apple id.
There was no option to change number of the licenses.
According to FCPX license, if i need to use four instances of FCPX in the same time i need licens for each of them.
I'v got one, i need three more... on the same apple id.
    How tu buy another licenses?
When i'm clicking on buy button on fcpx site it tells me to login. After log in it claims that i got one license and it's not allowing me to buy more.
Any one knows how tu buy three more licenses through the app store on macos?

    this is excelent idea...

  • I have 1 GB RAM on an '07 MacBook Pro. 1) How do I check remaining memory? 2) I have Microsoft office 2004 - do I need to buy more RAM to upgrade to '11? 3) I need a new battery ... Is it worth the $$ to buy a new battery, RAM and Microsoft office 2011?

I have a MacBook Pro from '07 with 1 GB of memory. The battery is shot and my AppleCare has run out. I just upgraded the OS to 10.6.8. But a few questions:
1 - How do I even check how much memory I have left on this computer?
2 - How do I check how many battery cycles are left?
3 - I want to upgrade to Microsoft Office '11 because I don't have Adobe Acrobat to creat pdf's and I need to be able to do this for school... Instead of buying acrobat, I figured I would just upgrade to Office '11 because I can generate pdf's from Word. Roughly how much RAM does Office '11 take up?
4 - Does Apple still make batteries for this computer (from '07)? How much do they cost?
5 - How much does 1 more GB of memory cost?
AND lastly -- is it even worth it to spend the $ on more RAM, a new battery and Office '11?
Or does it make more sense to just get a new computer entirely? (trying to avoid this).
ANY help would be sooo appreciated! Thanks.

1 - How do I even check how much memory I have left on this computer?
If you're asking how to check to see if you need more RAM, open Activity Monitor and go to the System Memory tab, then compare page outs and page ins.  If page outs is 10% or more of page ins, you probably need more RAM.
2 - How do I check how many battery cycles are left?
There's no limit on the number of battery cycles, it's just that the more cycles you've used the more "worn out" your battery gets.  You've got a 4-year-old machine, and if it's still got the original battery, it's probably about time for a replacement battery.  You can check battery health using System Profiler...  look at the Power section under Hardware.
3 - I want to upgrade to Microsoft Office '11 because I don't have Adobe Acrobat to creat pdf's and I need to be able to do this for school... Instead of buying acrobat, I figured I would just upgrade to Office '11
You don't need Office 2011 to create PDFs.  Any application capable of printing can create PDFs on a Mac.  Just choose File -> Print, but instead of clicking the Print button in the print dialog, click the PDF button and choose Save As PDF in the menu that appears.
4 - Does Apple still make batteries for this computer (from '07)? How much do they cost?
5 - How much does 1 more GB of memory cost?
I'll "ditto" sig's answers to these.
AND lastly -- is it even worth it to spend the $ on more RAM, a new battery and Office '11?
Or does it make more sense to just get a new computer entirely? (trying to avoid this).
If Office 2004 is still working fine for you, stick with that and don't incur the costs of Office 2011.  As to the RAM, only add more if the test I mentioned above indicates that you need it.  If you buy more RAM when you don't really need it, you won't see much (if any) performance improvement.  That just leaves the battery...  and if the machine is still doing what you need it to do and you don't really need a new machine for anything, you could definitely buy a new battery and get a few more years out of it.

  • I'm trying to buy more storage on my iPad but when I get to the "buy" button, it has my old Apple ID and I can't go any farther. I've changed my Apple ID on all my devices, logged out, logged back in, rebooted, etc., but that one area still has old one.

You can't buy more storage on an iPad. You are referring to space on iCloud and that probably won't accomplish what you are trying to do.

  • I am trying to buy more icloud storage and am putting in the correct password. everytime i do it it says completing purchase and then keeps asking me for my password as if it wasnt correcr and wont let me buy the storage.

While we all have MacBooks in this forum most of us don’t use iCloud. There's an iCloud Support Community where everybody uses iCloud. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer. https://discussions.apple.com/community/icloud/icloud_on_my_mac

  • HT201317 I have over 300 photos and 87 videos on my iphone 5.  each time I plug in for battery I get a message saying not enough space, need to buy more, so I did yesterday.  While attempting to do icloud storage again it said would take 83 hours.

I have over 300 photos and 87 videos. When I recharge the battery I am geting the message to buy more storage to because not enough icloud space.  So I did yesterday.  That went ok, but the new message tells me it will take 83 hours.  Perplexed I went thru the settings and turned off apps and their data that I didn't realize where on.  Now I'm not sure if I needed to purchase more storage but it is still taking forever to complete the task.  Am I on the right track with this, meaning will take forever to store all my photos or what ?  The only other item I have on to store is contacts.  Can you assist me ?  Thanks - emoslim

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.
What many people don't realise is that upload speeds are often significantly less than download speeds, so for example a user may have a download speed of 40 Mbps, but only 1 Mbps for uploading. As a rough guide it will take around 2 ¼ hours to upload 1 GB of data at 1 Mbps.

  • Can I use an iTunes gift card to buy more storage for iCloud?

I have a few gift cards and I feel as though there has to be a way you can buy more iCloud storage with those gift cards

This is the forum for iTunes Match. You will probably get a better answer from the appropriate iCloud forum <https://discussions.apple.com/community/icloud/>.

  • How can I buy more storage for Elements?

Looking how to upgrade storage for my Photoshop Elements account. Every time I click on upgrade I'm taken to my products page and can't do anything from there as there are no active links to upgrade, buy more storage. I keep looping from the control panel for Elements to my account dashboard.

Your current Adobe® Photoshop® Elements or Adobe Premiere® Elements storage and sharing membership on Photoshop.com will move to a new service called Adobe Revel. Did you actually watch the movie? You get 30 days in which to view it and if you didn't watch it, that could be why you are getting that message. If you have watched the movie and you're sure that is has expired by now, contact iTunes Store Support and seek their help.
Change the country in the upper left. - and click on Purchases, billing and redemption to proceed.

  • Where can I buy more RAM? And is it hard to install?

Do I have to go into an Apple store to buy ram or can I buy it online. Also will I be able to install it myself or will I need to have a pro do it?

You can buy RAM in Internet and install it yourself except in the Late 2012 21'5-inch iMac, where you will void the warranty if you add more memory.
You can buy more memory at OWC or Crucial. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1423?viewlocale=en_US

  • If I 'Buy More Storage,' can I have more pics in Photo Stream?

Right now, I have all of my pics and videos that are in my iPhoto (7000+) in my MobileMe Gallery so I can access them on my iPhone.  Photo Stream says it can only store 1000 pics but If I buy more storage, will I be able to store all 7000+ pics and videos in Photo Stream?
I have also noticed my videos arn't showing up in Photo Stream so I'm assuming it only 'Streams' photos?
If Photo Stream will always stay at 1000 pics no matter how much extra space I buy, does iCloud have a Gallery feature like MobileMe has and I'm just not seeing it?
TL;DR - How do I store more than 1000 photos in iCloud/Photo Stream so I can access from my iPhone?

From what I read after clicking the link to the macword article above, photo stream will only allow an iOS device to view 1000 photos.  It didn't touch on photo stream after more storage space is purchased but If you remember where you got your info from, that would help out.
If you're not talking about photo stream, where would I store the photos in iCloud that my iOS device can access them?

I put an iTunes gift card into my iTunes app and wanted to use it to buy more iCloud storage. How do I do that? iTunes and iCloud are different accounts. Help

Not on your own. Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put it back onto the card; they'll only do this if none of the balance has been spent.
