...have my songs re-encoded to 128kpbs AAC as they're synced to my 8GB iPod Touch. iTunes lets you do this for iPod Shuffles, and it really helps save space on your iPod and keeps your library clean. I have a lot of Apple Lossless that I enjoy listening to at home on my laptop, but when I'm on-the-go I'm less concerned about high-fidelity audio and more worried about storage space. Having to maintain mp3 copies of the albums I have in Apple Lossless is annoying - please let me use this feature with my iPod Touch!

I didn't say "they" were AAC (I can only assume you're talking about the albums I maintain between the machine and the iPod, which, just as you quoted me as saying, are in mp3 v0...as I said I prefer that to AAC if given the choice), I said Apple has already implemented a preference in iTunes for encoding higher-bitrate files directly to the iPod in 128kbps AAC without them entering the library at all. The idea is that even though I currently maintain my albums in v0 mp3 (and would love a preference with more customization, i.e. the ability to encode to the iPod in mp3), it's probably a trivial change for Apple to enable the preference they already use for the iPod Shuffle for the iPod Touch (that is to say, a reasonable request).
v0 is a variable bitrate setting (actually a command-line switch) for LAME that is considered the best tradeoff between filesize and audio quality when dealing with mp3's.
Sooooooo...anyone want to address the topic?

I have been using Lightroom for about three years and one of the many features I would like to see is the ability to save a thumbnail for the image while exporting an image. This is an option available in other leading software, and also happens when you save an image in Photoshop. It isn't a huge issue when using a Mac because you have the option for the finder to force an image preview. It is however an issue when your client uses Windows since the OS doesn't allow the user to force a thumbnail preview.
The client is king, especially with the economy and market the way that it is. If the client wants thumbnails on their images in their OS, the photographer needs to be able to deliver. I don't expect myself or any other photographer to have to open files in Photoshop and save them to force a thumbnail for the image.
This software is in no way as expensive as Photoshop and it does have amazing features, but it is also not cheap and is intended for working professionals.

Your original links were ok, two JPGs and one PNG. BTW,the resizing wasn't necessary because the warning about it is only for viewing the photo in the message. You can always click on the photo and see the full-sized version, as long as it doesn't exceed the filesize limit, of course.
On my Windows 7, both JPGs show a Windows Picture Viewer program icon when set to the default settings, and both JPGs show a thumbnail icon when the icon-size is increased. This is a function of Windows, not the contents of the files, as far as I can tell.

On the Mac the two images act differently, but you're asking for Mac-specific things to occur, and Adobe may choose to not do it based on it not being different on Windows.
For what Windows scenario does the PS-saved JPG show a thumbnail-icon instead of a program-icon when the LR-saved one shows only the program icon. I'm not asking about the Mac where your screenshot shows the difference, I'm asking about Windows. Is it only when you e-mail pictures or is it on the customer's hard-drive, somehow, and what is the customer using the view the images?

Would like the ability to modify file signons.sqlite. Have signons that are incorrect, mis typed etc.

I have several signons for applications that are incorrect or are no longer used. I would like to have the ability to update file signons.sqlite and remove bad entries. Better yet give me the ability to have firefox remove unwanted signon id's by application.

It is ordinarily possible to modify files with a sqlite editor but there are security keys involved, luckily firefox allows you to easily change or delete the logins and passwords through the User Interface menus.

When a script opens a new window, I would like the ability to not let the script use the full screen. I have seen that feature before, but for some reason I cant find it anymore. Has that been taken out ?

Other than iMovie, GB always incorporates the audio files into the GB package. So just save or move the GB project to the external drive, and you're done - anything you import, edit or record will be saved to the external drive.

Our current support in Extract for Smart Objects includes showing them in the file, and using them on the backend when you request your layer(s) to be scaled while exporting (i.e., when scaling up, the highest quality image is used). We also display the colors, fonts and gradients from the included Smart Objects in the Extract Styles panel.
We have considered providing a way to open Smart Objects from within Extract, and could use some feedback from you on how this user experience would work best for you. Would you prefer option a) or b) below, and why?
a) When opening a Smart Object, it opens in the current browser window, replacing your current view of the PSD.
b) When opening a Smart Object, it opens in a new browser window, which receives focus (is the frontmost browser tab/window).
Also, if you tried to open a Linked Smart Object when the linked file is not available, what would you expect to happen?
Would you describe in more detail what you mean by: "Could a smart object or linked layer be expanded on upload?" and how you'd use this feature?

Add the Ability to sort in different ways like Bridge

What happened to the ability to open your bookmarks on the left hand side of the screen and scroll thru them like on IE?

In older versions of firefox, I could open the bookmarks on the left hand side of the screen, and they would stay open when i clicked on one of them, and i could use it to open multiple tabs. How do i do that in Firefox 5? I do not like the bookmark toolbar.

The bookmarks toolbar no longer displays by default & they seem to be encouraging use of the bookmarks button or bookmarks menu. The bookmarks sidebar is still available if you know the shortcut as above. There is also the bookmarks library, now under show all bookmarks, rather than organise/organize bookmarks. ( Also it is possible with a simple chrome command in the location bar to open the library as a tab enter

I lost the ability to create invitations on my iPhone 4. It was an option but that option is gone.

In 3 years I never synched my calendar to iCloud for fear I would lose my data. I explained all of this (and the fact that my phone had never been backed up to iCloud or iTunes to the tech at the Genius Bar (I was having wifi issues with my phone which is why I was there so I COULD START BACKING UP) and he assured me synching / merging to iCloud would not delete my calendar events: well, it did. Yes! I have spent hours with apple tech support and had my iTunes account in "troubleshoot " status so the engineers could go into iCloud to see if they could retrieve events. They found nothing. I just don't understand where it goes if it's on the phone? I know there are ways forensic engineers retrieve "lost " data on cell phones. I just thought it might be worth it to post on here and see if there is any hope .

How the $hit do you think I invite most of my bbm contacts, not as many people are using blackberries you know so the email invite (yes it generates in email mode so you can simply copy and paste) is not as efficient any more. What if we knew blackberry's attentions were focused in this support forum, and through it they could make sure their updates meet the needs of their users? If bb'ers begin posting ideas within categories that would effectively cover all aspects from application/ interface adjustments to developments blackberry devices could effectively grow with the user. It is a beautifully reciprocal experience as companies/individuals will have free market research and power of change.
Companies and developers can simply calculate if they have a positive return on their investment of time, cost, resourcess and efforts. Whether it be a company who is interested in direct billing, a contract or advertising OR a customer is interested in attempting to impact a change. Both sides have a vested interest. People could see how many others potentially like their new ideas whether in be in the realm of functionality or applications. I have been told (and have read a bit) Linux systems are an awesome example of how ideas mixed with creativity, critique, feedback and passion drive the force that is innovation, which is amazing.
We have the opportunity to create what could include even more people now. As mobile technology spans the globe and should call for impeccable security, who better to afford you and your ideas both the collaberation potential with the luxury and security of the safest network in the business. Since the phone is complete as a unit superficially; shape and weight are perfect for a phone, 3.5 small buttons on the whold device, and perfect size screen for communication and visual needs, (also read my post on external battery charger.....bravo blackberry),there would only be a need for minor external and relative internal improvements as technology requires adaptation. Thus the only thing to really continue to work on is the interface and user experience.
It is a work of balance and interdependence as both consumer/creator roles are shared by all parties within the company/owner and the open market. The customer experiences the ability for impact on their own environment and efficiency/comfort withn that through application and function improvements, and blackberry gets happy loyal customers and supporters.
If we knew could post ideas with the help of blackberry of course (online tallies ballot system etc) to provide numbers or structure or to help guide the process of evolution in regards to this aspect of our lives (obviously they cannot make every change in the same amount of time as they would have to balance attending to ideas with great support to addressing ones with fewer numbers but specific ideas. Also the factor of people who like the option as it is or would support change would have to be taken into consideration. ) than I am certain our dispositions would change when we encounter an obstacle because we know there is option for remedy.
For example with a great enough support for lets say to change a function of operation, there is also the possibility that the idea would simply inspire blackberry to offer it in various modes like ringtones notification or options within program settings are. I am sure as a group of intelligent users we could contribute to the establishment of a ratio for attending to the necessary factors involved. How does it work with linux systems?
We would have to be patient of course as this would take time to gain the momentum it would require to have turnaround be speedy when it occurs. It could happen, remember happy people are patient people. Show us you hear us, make some of the changes that we see and address over and over in this post and it is inevitable you will see an increase in users and ideas which will only keep the progress in motion.
Eventually every idea reaches a point where you decide if there is enough reason to continue to develop, practise, or refine it. If not you simply move on to your next idea. I am both and I am certain others are in the same situation. I have never been so frustrated and so happy with the same item than I have at different points throughout my years with blackberry. We scrutinize your products daily, we have some of the best feedback for you, but without a reception they will only turn into complaints or rants.

The sheet I am working on has lost the ability for me to scroll to the first few columns. I can't see the columns but I can cut and paste them so I know they are still there. Has this happened to others

The sheet I am working on has lost the ability for me to scroll to the first few columns. I can't see the columns A & B but if I cut and paste the table to a new sheet, the columns I am missing will travel to the new sheet. I have charts and other stuff related the the original table so I need to figure out why I can only see from column C forward. I tried to "UNHIDE" the columns but the function doesn't seem to recognise that there are columns missing. Has this happened to others and how did you fix it?

I've seen it happen before, or at least it sounds something like what I've seen before. The table somehow gets into the margins of the page and the app doesn't know how to deal with it. Go into Print View and try moving the table away from the left side ofthe page. You might have to change content size or resize the table to get it to correct (then put you can put them back the way you like).

Feature request: please give the ability to close all background apps at once!?

Hello. Please oh please give us the ability to close all open/running apps with one click or swipe. I, like many users, like to close running apps (much like on my computer) to keep my ipad/iPhone running fast. I know you guys say that background apps are put on pause and don't slow things down but that is simply not the case in real world usage. All the time my iPhone or iPad becomes sluggish and if I swipe 30 times to close all the apps the sluggishness goes away. I like the simple and easy to use ios, but a little more control for the user would be very beneficial. This, I would guess, is one of the main reasons one would get an android device instead, because they require for fine tune control. Giving us this feature, amoung a few others, would be a win win. The end user get more what they need, and apple steals away (or keeps) more loyal apple buyers.

How do I get back the ability to send emails with photos embedded. I like adding the frames and backgrounds and I think it's easier for recipients to look at the photos. I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

Itunes seems to have lost the ability to play purchased video

Before posting here, I've searched all over the place for a solution to this problem, I found many people who have very similar issues, some solved them, but their solutions haven't worked for me, others with problems closer to how'd I'd describe mine have yet to find a solution
My problem is, when I try to watch purchased tv shows, the video playback is horribly choppy. Most of the time it's like watching a screenshot with audio. (audio plays fine). I've tried all the suggestions of disabling direct3d etc to no avail. I have a brand new pretty beefy system that should have no problems running the video at all. The oddest thing though, is that early today the video worked fine, which confirms that it's not hardware insufficiency. After downloading 2 shows this evening, I watched them with perfectly smooth playback. After getting a few more tv shows, itunes suddenly lost the ability to playback smoothly, even after closing, opening itunes again, rebooting my computer, none of it helped. The only thing left to try which I will try if nobody has any idea what the problem might be, is to completly uninstall itunes and try reinstalling it again, since earlier the playback was fine.
Has anyone else encountered anything at all like this? Nothing about my system has changed since earlier this evening, I already had the most recent version of itunes when everything was working fine. No display drivers or any of that has changed. It was only a matter of a few minutes between smooth playback and where my itunes perminatly lost the ability to playback video properly.
I appoligize for the long winded message but I wanted to cover all the bases so people don't end up suggesting stuff I've already tried. The only clue that might be related is during download of one of the shows Windows Vista popped up the message that itunes had stop working, and I could try and find a solution or close the application. I just closed itunes and opened it again. Everything seemed fine but it may be (not positive though) that it was immediatly after that that the video nolonger played properly.
