I'd like to have the YouTube app back. I miss it.

Didn't find any alternative in the AppStore. That's not nice of Apple to delete apps from the device I bought for that feature.

Have you tried accessing it via Safari : http://m.youtube.com ?

  • We have 150 iPads at our school. What effective ways have you found to update and download new apps to such a large number of iPads? Can I download different apps to different sub sets of our large group - or must they all have the same apps?

At our elementary school, our 150 iPads are separated into 5 subsets.  Can I download different apps to each subset, or must they all have the same apps since they all share the same Apple ID.  Some iPads are for grades k-2, and some are for 3-5.  I'd like to have the best apps for the different grade levels on the iPads.  Currently we have "iPad Carts" to house our  iPads in, and could use them to upload and update apps all at once, but don't utilize this function as we have a custom set up for the iPads that is erased each time we update through the carts.

You can configure different set of apps for different groups of ipads.
You need an mdm to do this.

  • Why is the youtube app not the new ipad

Apple decided to remove google apps from being included in iOS. Google released an iPhone version of YouTube that you could install while we all patiently (or not) wait for google to make it universal...

After downloading the new update ios 6 for the iPad , I can not find the YouTube app. Is there a way to get the YouTube app back?

It's now not part of iOS 6. However, you can download the YouTube app at http://itunes.apple.com/app/youtube/id544007664.

Just like the topic states........updated iPad, and lost the YouTube app, and no it's not because of restrictions cause I've checked......it's gone and I can't get it back, I've even hooked up to my computer and iTunes to see if I could get it back there also but no luck there either.  Any help would be appreciated

youtube is no longer a built in app on ios6. Apple contract with google expired so youtube and google maps were removed. try the app store or youtube mobile website

Delete you mail account on the phone and disable to sync your mail account in the info pane in iTunes with your phone connected, same for contacts. Also deselect photo syncing in the photo pane. After the following sync, your mail, contact and photos should be gone.
Photos inside the camera roll have to be deleted on the phone.
Remember, that apps only can be used with the account they were bought with. If the phone will be set up with a different iTunes account, all of your apps will be removed.

  • TS1702 The youtube app that came pre-italled on my iPad just has disappeared! I did not delete it consciously. How do I get it back. I tried going to App Store but what I installed is not nearly as good and I do not like it at all! How do I get orig?

Can anyone tell me how to get the original YouTube application back on my iPad?

If you've updated to iOS 6 then the YouTube app is no longer included - you will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)
If you are on iOS 5 and you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders and you've tried searching for it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the righ), then is it hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > YouTubebeing 'off' ?

  • Is there an icon for face time on the iphone4s home screen? I remember I saw it before but not any more. I still have the FaceTime app,but would like to find the icon on the home screen again. Anyone can help?

Check all of your folders to see if FaceTime is in any of them.
If not, check your restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) and if restrictions are on, and you know the passcode, then FaceTime might be turned off. Turn ON to veiw icon on home screen.
Let me know if this does/doesnt work.

  • Why does the YouTube app on the iPad Air 2 crash after posting a comment?

I got a brand new iPad Air 2 about 2 weeks ago, and ever since I started using the YouTube app, I've had a few issues. Every time that I post a comment or reply to a comment, the app crashes. This can be very annoying, especially when it happens in the middle of watching a video. When I re-open the app, I have to go back, find the video I was watching, and find the exact time that I was at before the app crashed. I need to do this every time, and this prevents me from being able to reply to comments or post anything at all. I had the YouTube app on my old iPad 2 which I had for about 4 years before upgrading to the iPad Air 2, and I never had any problems such as this one. I am not sure whether there is something wrong with my iPad, or maybe it could just be a bug within the app, which in that case, the developers would need to fix. Please let me know what you think of this issue, thanks.

Delete youtube app from iPad and then download it again. Or try clearing out youtube like press home button twice and clear the Q out.

  • Filenames of the Youtube app and where is it place...

    Hello!
I want to understand the system, how apps are stored on the e52 and how they are linked with the menu.
e.g. can you tell me, how the files of the Youtube app are called on your phone, and where thoses files are placed?
I can see this app in the program manager and start it via Ovi Store (???), but I cannot see it in the file manager or menu (I searched all folders)
I also see Youtube, if I search my apps with the Application Manager from PC Suite or with Ovi Suite, when I connect my phone with my PC.
Funny thing: Yesterday I installed a "Pipes" from softonic - I downloaded the file to my memory card and installed it - I can see this program in the menu and file manager.
I'm happy about any tipp - this is very disturbing.
I don't want to do a backup of my phone and a deep reset, because last time after this, I had to reinstall many different things - this has been lots of work.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Schlaumy
"Two beer or not two beer?"

    Hello!
This topic with the invisible Youtube app cannot be solved, because it's a very deep problem - some say, it is a problem of the Youtube app, and I should tell Google, which I will do later.
The handles to solve this problem are on a very deep system level, like explained here:
    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/showthread.php?219079-Moved-Application-not-visible-after-ph...
Most of the important data are hidden and invisible.
As we are all no Nokia or Application developers, we have to use the "normal way":
Saving all private data from phone and memory card - format memory card and do a deep reset with *#7370# (ATTENTION: this kills all apps and settings for apps)
Maybe a backup via PC Suite or Ovi Suite can help saving time with backup of the whole phone - but this is an open question, because it could be, that damaged data are also saved in the backup.
    Best regards,
    Schlaumy

  • Why is the YouTube app missing when I updated my software?

I updated my iPad and the youtube app on my iPad is missing I really like YouTube and in not happy it's gone.
Is there a reason apple took it away or is something wrong with my iPad

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6 as the licensing agreement with google was ending. You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version and there is Jasmine), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

  • I can't access the YouTube app on my iPad or iPod

I get the message that " warning , flash player out of date . Update to continue. "Help !!

This is highly suspicious, as there is no Flash Player for iOS. That seems like a message from a scam site, but it shouldn't be a scam if you're using the official YouTube app.
First, make sure that you have the official YouTube app, and not an imitator. If you do, try deleting the app, then re-download it.
If that doesn't help, that suggests that your network, or the DNS server your iPad is using, has been compromised. Can you try other iOS devices on the same network, to see if they exhibit the same problem? (Comparing to a laptop accessing the YouTube site isn't meaningful, because I don't know if the YouTube app accesses the same site or uses a special site designed specifically for that app.) Also, check to see if your iPad behaves the same way on another unrelated network, such as a free wifi network at a public library, coffee house or whatnot.
