I'd like to hire someone to create a simple interactive game in director or flash

I can do some simple things with lingo and actionscript, but I have been given the task to create an interactive game that will be interfaced through a touchscreen. This is beyond my scope and would like some advice on where to turn for help. I have (briefly) explored some of the sites that advertise this type of service and so far they expect a huge budget and very long development timeframe.
I really am looking for some basic stuff, a timer, a kept (high) score, random placement of (objects), an interface to scroll left and right allowing a larger game area than the 1280x1024 the touchscreen allows, collecting semi-hidden objects, jigsaw-type assembly of objects on another background scene using only the "found" pieces, etc.
I supply all graphic elements, and only need the programming - in such a way that I can change the graphics if necessary.
I do have a budget, and could use some advice on who may be available at a reasonable cost to my client.

I've done this many times for a variety of clients, and specifically for touch-screen kiosks. The basic difference with the touch-screen is to go in mouse
-show vs. mouse-hide mode, and to keep the buttons and controls big enough for fingers.I also use a hidden menu (or control panel) button in my kiosk applications, so the user can change settings easily without having to use a mouse/keyboard.
I generally do the game development in Flash, but I use Director as a shell (import the Flash files into Director) for the purpose of checking system requirements (RAM, video codecs, etc) and other system controls, which of course can't be done in Flash. Director also has more capabilities in terms of deploying the application. I can send you some sample games I've developed over the years.

I could really use some advice with a new project I am undertaking,
I am looking to design a step-by-step game where users will be required to click on my artwork at each stage to get the next one. I would like different animated consequences to occur according to which button option is chosen at each stage. Eventually I would like for it to be a website that anybody can enter. I was wondering which programme would be ideal to use, I have access to Adobe Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver, but currently I only have a very basic grasp of them. This would be a long-term project I will be working on, so I am prepared to learn the appropriate programme, but if you could help me with which one that would be and any tips, I would be really grateful.

Here I mentioned that you should use a graphics editor such as "Firefox" when I meant to say Fireworks. Fireworks is NOT an interactivity program even though it might be able to do simple rollover buttons. Please use Flash for that. It will provide greater control for you as you will begin to see once you invest in a Flash book. And in Flash a game is not really simple if it is interactive. The part that makes it interactive is ActionScript and that is where you should focus your energies. There are even books dedicated to teaching game programming in Flash.

I have come to the "Duffy throws 6" part and have absolutly no idea how i should continue. I have tried to look up the codes in "API Specification" but found no codes / names with "dice" :)

Hi everybody, I'm working with a Vision VI and the trouble is that I need to create a cluster to connect it to a terminal called Settings of the Vision VI (IMAQ Count objects). These settings includes booleans, long and unsigned word type values. I've seen this one in a pdf document:
I like how it looks because it's in a reduced space.

You did not create a cluster, just some individual controls that you are bundling in the code. that's not the same!
I would recommend a combination approach from what we heard so far.
First, create a control on the subVI input. Now we know it has the correct type.
Right-click each control you don't like and replace it with one from a different palette (modern, classic, system), making sure you keep the same datatype. Keep the wire connected to the subVI. If the wire breaks, you picked a wrong datatype. simply undo and try again. (This way, the cluster order should not change).
Now rearrange the controls the way you want.
Here's are two quick examples I just made from scratch.

Make sure that the EXT Drive is formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled).
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Anyone that buys an iMac should not have to buy "cheap". it's like putting "retread tires" on a brand new Farrari! Ugh!
To find a cheap version of PS is to locate an obsolete version only? Software surplus business may have some or check the obituary columns to see if any Photographers or Gaphic Designers have left some things behind?
Some options...enroll in a community college Multimedia class and you will not only have access to Photoshop, you'll have access to much more software for the price of the course. It will also qualify you as a student and you can get a discounted rate on the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription as well.
If you are only making "simple flyers" would not MS Word or OpenOffice software do the job for you? There are applications for that purpose and Photoshop is not the only way to skin this cat! Or you can always buy a box of Crayola's and make a pamphlet that way?
And as a bonus, you may learn something from the course you enroll in.
I am a student and subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud...it's reasonable for my purposes for now.

There's no really good way for it anymore. Sharing via iCloud is likely the best possible option, but I haven't had an opportunity to try that out yet. I'll need to get my hands on a Windows PC to see how an updated Windows browser displays presentations.
