I Date TestSTand data type
TestSTAND date data type
I use TestSTAND pop up message to request user to input date in the input string
for example: 10/8/2008 in TestSTAND input string in popup message.
I assume this is a string
how do I compare this date to today date or any other date.?
Does TestSTAND have a TestSTAND Date data type?
Hi,
No TestStand doesn't have a Date type.
The Date() function returns a string i.e "20/10/2008". Therefore, providing you entered in the same format you could do a StrComp(Locals.DateEntered, Locals.CurrentDate) which if the same would return 0.
But you could get Date() to return the individual Year, Month, Day values then you could do a check on these values. Check out the syntax in the Function Browser.
Hope this helps

Data Acquisition Step Type - Tester Required
I have just created a Basic Data Acquistion step type for testsand ver 4.0, i require someone who is willing to test out the step type and just give me feedback on any relevant bugs , look and feel etc. I have attached a few screen shots of the demo i have created.

Dialog.jpg 647 KBData Acquisition usually refers to a DAQ board from NI so I think what you are looking for is a generic NI-VISA step type and a specific RS-232 step type. I have a NI-VISA step type that was originally written with LabVIEW 6.1 and for use with TestStand 2. I've atached that below. I don't have the .ini file handy and don't have time to recreate it but from the code, you should be able to see what needs to be added to the step properties. The basic step is a modified Pass/Fail Step.
It's not that difficult to create your own custom steps. I've done a lot and it only takes a little while longer than doing a code module in LabVIEW or CVI. The extra time is in creating the edit step.
I've got an RS-232 step type but part of it is product specific so it is proprietary and I can't post that. Look at the VISA example and the other examples of custom step types that are on the developer zone and see how far you get.

</ServiceType>Hi !!
Now when iam extracting the data for the above xml, using the below query
SELECT extractvalue(VALUE(p),'/itemkey/*') Name, extractvalue(VALUE(p),'/required/*') Required FROM CL_DATA_SERVICE_TEMPLATE w, TABLE(XMLSEQUENCE(EXTRACT(xmldata,'/ServiceType/siu','xmlns="http://www.bmiasia.com/tBos/service_1_0"'))) p
I am expecting the output to be something like below
Name | Required
L2_OPTION | true
L3_OPTION | false
but iam getting the required number of rows but all blank
Lets take it as O/P should be 20 Rows, then iam getting 20 Rows.... But all are blank
What is wrong in the query ?
Can some one point it out -
Settings for costing data in order types for plant maintenance
i want to know the purpose of settings for costing data in order types for plant maintenance. do we need to do it for sure i mean are those settings mandatory to analyze the costs on work order
Yes you need to maintain those settings, as the plant maintenance orders are also considered as cost objects and in order for you to post any cost, you need to have a cost object. Unless you maintain these settings, the cost you posted cannot be settled to a cost center.
Assign points as a way to say thanks.

What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "ZSDR0009" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
How to correct the error
Use only convertible operands "dst" and "src" for the statement
"MOVE src TO dst"
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"UC_OBJECTS_NOT_CONVERTIBLE" " "
"ZSDR0009" or "ZSDR0009_I02"
"USER_COMMAND"

PO date / Purchase order type
Hello,
When creating a standard order in SAP with VA01, we can fill in the fields "PO date" (the date when the customer send the PO) and "Purchase Order Type" (the source of the PO - by Email, by phone, by fax)...The report VA05 doesn't show those fields...Is it an other report showing these data that I can use ?
Many thanks.
Gabriela.Hi Gabriela
You can Check in VA05 , so kindly check the document type feild & PO date feild . If you cant see then check in VA05n

Cannot create a date in cfformitem type="script"
I tried to create date variables using "new Date" in
cfformitem type="script" and got an error about the "new" reserver
word. Therefore, I removed the "new" and tested the script. It
worked with the wrong result because the todayDate and selectedDate
in the CheckDate2 were the same. By some reason, it ignored all the
input parameters. However, everything worked fine in the
cfsavecontent.
Anyone has idea? Thanks in advance.
Here is the script:
<cfsavecontent variable="CheckDate1">
var todayDate = new Date(myForm.todayYear,
myForm.todayMonth, myForm.todayDate, 0, 0, 0, 0);
var selectedDate = new Date(
myForm.select_date1.substr(6, 4),
myForm.select_date1.substr(0, 2) - 1,
myForm.select_date1.substr(3, 2),
0, 0, 0, 0
alert("Today's Date in the cfsavecontent:\n" + todayDate +
"\n\n" +
"Seleced Date in the cfsavecontent:\n" + selectedDate);
if (selectedDate > todayDate)
alert("You cannot select a date greater than today's date");
else
alert("You are ok.");
</cfsavecontent>
<cfform name="myForm" format="Flash">

Good. That's that sorted.
> The problem is the cfformitem does not allow
“new” or other reserved words
As I'm sure you're already aware, it is so by design. For
security reasons, the Coldfusion Flash form compiler does not allow
the creation of objects in an event handler. It therefore prohibits
the use of the "new" keyword in an event handler script. In fact,
It may not even allow its occurrence in a comment!

CFM file or use

It's a hack, one design gremlin that got away. In programming
as in nature there are (un)lucky accidents.
> the Date constructor ignores the input parameters and
creates the
> current system date in the date objects.
We should be glad it even gets that far. Without the "new"
keyword, it should not be possible to create a new Date object. The
flash compiler encounters a familiar constructor pattern, and
simply makes do by creating the default date of today, right down
to hours, minutes and seconds. Your arguments are ignored.
Thus, the following will all return the same result, namely,
the date of today.
var todayDate = Date(myForm.todayYear, myForm.todayMonth,
myForm.todayDate, 0, 0, 0, 0);
var todayDate = Date(myForm.todayYear, myForm.todayMonth,
myForm.todayDate);
var todayDate = Date(0);
var todayDate = Date(100000000000);
var todayDate = Date();
Even then, the todayDate variable doesn't behave properly
like a Date object. For example, function calls like
todayDate.getDate() fail. Comparing dates also fails. That is
possibly because the machine cannot cast the todayDate variable.
However, here is an approach that does what you want.
<cfformitem type="script">
function CheckDate2() {
var todayDate:Date = Date();
var todayDateInMillis =
Date.UTC(myForm.todayYear,myForm.todayMonth,myForm.todayDate);
var selected_date:Date = select_date2.selectedDate;
var selected_dateInMillis = selected_date.getTime();
alert("Today's Date from cfformitem tag :\n" + todayDate +
"\n\n" + "Selected Date from cfformitem tag:\n" + selected_date);
if (selected_dateInMillis > todayDateInMillis) alert("You
cannot select a date greater than today's date");
else
alert("You are ok.");

Issue loading Meta Data for IDoc Type WPUKSR01 in XI Integration Repository
Hi,
I want to load the Meta Data for IDoc Type WPUKSR01 in XI Integration Repository out of BI. Unfortunately, this IDoc is not available in the IDoc List. I checked in BI and the IDoc Type is available in WE60 and WE30. Also, I can load the Meta Data for the Idoc in XI ABAP (IDX2).
Can someone tell me why the IDoc doesn't show up in XI Integration Repository Import Object List?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.
AlexHi Aamir,
The Idoc is released since Release 30A. I also tried to load the IDoc Meta Data from ERP with the same result: it does not show up in the list.
Thanks anyway.

Dynamically built query on execution How to save the data in Object Type
Hi,
In pl/sql I am building and executing a query dynamically. How can I stored the output of the query in object type. I have defined the following object type and need to store the
output of the query in it. Here is the Object Type I have
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE DEMO.FIRST_RECORDTYPE AS OBJECT(
pkid NUMBER,
pkname VARCHAR2(100);
pkcity VARCHAR2(100);
pkcounty VARCHAR2(100)
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE DEMO.FIRST_RECORDTYPETAB AS TABLE OF FIRST_RECORDTYPE;Here is the query generated at runtime and is inside a LOOP
--I initialize my Object Type*
data := new FIRST_RECORDTYPETAB();
FOR some_cursor IN c_get_ids (username)
LOOP
x_context_count := x_context_count + 1;
-- here I build the query dynamically and the same query generated is
sql_query := 'SELECT pkid as pid ,pkname as pname,pkcity as pcity, pkcounty as pcounty FROM cities WHERE passed = <this value changes on every iteration of the cursor>'
-- and now I need to execute the above query but need to store the output
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE sql_query
INTO *<I need to save the out put in the Type I defined>*
END LOOP;
How can I save the output of the dynamically built query in the Object Type. As I am looping so the type can have several records.
Any help is appreciated.
