I deauthorized and reauthorized my computer, now I can't transfer the stuff from my ipod because it thinks its a different computer....
my hardrive randomly crashed not too long ago.
So I had it replaced.
I have been trying to transfer my music from my ipod back into my itunes and having
no luck. I tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing my computer which now I am wondering
is NOW my problem because my computer is saying that my ipod doesn't belong
to this computer!!!!!!
SO, Help, Please!?!?
EM
try this:
1) authorize iTunes for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPod but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPod with it.

You are in luck, Refer to this recent post by tt2, on recovering media using 3rd Party Software.

basically... I had an ipod touch sync'd to my dads i tunes.. i then got an iphone and created my own apple id.. how could i transfer the media from my ipod which was used on a different apple id onto my own account without everything deleting
Syncing an iDevice to a computer does not remove content from the computer.
Syncing an iDevice to a computer that it does not normally sync with will remove the content from that device.
If the media was acquired with a different Apple ID it is in no way linked to your Apple ID. -
My old computer has crashed. My new computer has my iphone account. How can I transfer my playlist from my ipod to my new computer?
Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software. A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:

Message was edited by: christophorus2890Hi There
You can only transfer purchased music from your iPod to iTunes using iTunes. However there are third party utilities that you can use to retrieve your music, just do a google search or have a look on http://www.versiontracker.com
Hope this helps

Can i transfer the stuff off my ipod onto my new computer
I have had to get a new computer as my old one broke and no longer works is there any way of getting the stuff off my ipod onto my new computer without losing what is currently on my ipod?
All you help would be greatly appreciatedHello, friend. If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPod. And here is a step by step guide show you how to transfer iPod music to Mac computer or iTunes library, hope it helps.
I have been try your method, it can help me, thanks a lot.As I know Coolmuster iPhone iPad iPod to computer can also transfer iPod music to computer. -

In iTunes 9 is there a way to switch to Mini Mode without Command+Shift+M?
Back in all the other versions you pressed the green dot in the upper left hand corner and it would go down to Mini-Mode. Now, it just gets a little bit smaller but still takes up 70% of the screen. What's the deal?
