I delete emails by putting them in trash. I have even deleted all mail. It all reappears no matter what I try! The mail icon shows I have thousands of emails and I can't get rid of them! Please help!!

I asked a question about deleting deleted emails but after trying to delete all mail, it said no mail but it still keeps reappearing. The mail icon on the main screen says I have thousands of emails. I've rebooted, hit the trash one by one but they still come back! I'm going nuts!

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. When I open on Mozilla Firefox, several identical items open on bar at bottom of page, when only one is needed, and I can't get rid of them apart from closing the whole lot.

Different tabs used to appear at the top of the page (Yahoo), which I could easily close. This has stopped. You don't take the pictures off the PC you leave them there and tell iTunes that you don't want them on the iPad (by unchecking them) and then sync. That will delete the pictures from the iPad.

Permanent vertical blue line the screen and a red one has just popped up too. What does it mean and how can I get rid of them?

I have had a permanent vertical blue line on the right side of my imac screen for some time now. It does not affect the use of the computer. A red one has popped up on the right side of the screen and is not going away either.
Would you know why these are appearing and perhaps how to get rid of them please?

Best guess is that either your GPU or LCD is failing. You should take it to the nearest Apple Store or AASP for proper diagnostic. Once you know what the problem is you can decide wether or not it's worth repairing.

I'm a happy recent switcher, I'm migrating my .doc documents to pages '08 but sometimes I'm getting weird vertical lines and triangles in the pages document.
What are they and how can I get rid of it, cause they get printed. There is no way to affect it using the mouse.

I updated the software as required for the iPad and now I can no longer delete photos from the app in the photo section. I had been able to do it but now there are multiple photos of the same pic and I can't remove any of them. What is wrong?

Photos in the Camera Roll or in the Imported Images album can be deleted within the album. One the album and select the icon with the curved arrow. Then tap on the photo or photos you want to delete to select them. Finally tap delete.
For photos in other albums you delete them by moving them out of the albums they were in on your computer. If you're using a Mac open iTunes on your Mac and move the photos out of the album then go through the sync process with your iPad.
If you're using a pc then move the photos out of the folders they are in and go through the sync process.

I have just noticed that it is obviously connected with the sound. It has a row of boxes undeneath the logo, and as you increase the volume, the boxes fill up from left to right, and the logo flutters at the same time.
have alogitec amplifier and speaker system connected to it, and have just noticed that the sun logo looks very similar to the Logitec symble/Logo.

Put new HD in and now can't get it to boot, please help!

With disk it tells me to select a destination volume but it's blank. Without disk it gives me a ? in a folder.

OK, what version of OS X came with the computer and what version do you want to install? The first thing you need to do is format the new HD. If your computer came with Leopard (10.5.x) and you currently have Snow Leopard (10.6.x) you will need to insert the Snow Leopard upgrade DVD into your drive. Then restart the computer while holding down the Option Key, if you only have a wireless keyboard you will probably need to get your hands on a wired one. When it starts while holding the Option Button the computer should give you the option of booting from the Install Disc. Choose that option and let it continue, it will next ask which language you want choose the language then next choose Utilities menu - Disk Utility - Highlight the internal HD - Select the Erase tab - Set formate to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) - Click Erase - Exit Disk Utility when format is complete and continue installing the OS. If you had a backup of your old system (Time Machine or a Bootable Clone) this is very good! Towards the end of the install it will ask if you are migrating from another Mac, choose yes then choose your backup (it has to be physically connected to the machine) and restore from the backup.
Finally PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fill out your profile, we have no idea what computer you have or where you're located. This is critical information in order for us to provide accurate information.

hotmail as exchange
gmail as imap
aol as imap
yahoo as imap
all setup on the phone as just setting the phone to sync
from outlook or osx mail program or the likes don't really work as mails should
about the ultimatum to apple about fixing your mail problems then you will likely have more luck in the feedback channel then here were we're just users like you
