No don't restore your iphone. I've done that several times & it has never worked. -I still have deleted contacts in my iphone texts. *However if you do restore it you will not lose all your data, pics, text messages etc if you backup in iCloud. It restores back to original phone. Very nice :). Anyhowwww....
I JUST figured it out!! :))). Remove the contact from recents.
Start a text. You should see the deleted contact. All the way to the right of the name is a symbol. The symbol is a circle with "i" in the middle. Click that symbol then in red lettering click "remove from recents".

But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync.

The information below may be able to answer your questions about how to delete songs from your iPhone:
Deleting songs downloaded to your device
Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.

Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone. Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:

Not other than parental oversight. On the computer you can implement Parental Controls on a separate user account that they would use. You can then block certain websites. But you cannot do that on the iPad.
You could change your iTunes account such that they cannot access it in order to buy or download apps.

I would like to buy the iPhone from the States but I am from Canada. Is it possible for me to buy a no-contract iPhone 4 from Apple in USA, and bring it back to Canada to use it? Does it come with the micro-sim? I believe it is locked to AT&T but is it possible to unlock the iPhone at all?

No. Someone must accept and sign for the delivery.
Wait until the iPhone 4 is available in Canada, or will it be available in Canada at the same time?
Regardless and as already provided, the iPhone is sold in the U.S. as carrier locked with AT&T only and AT&T does not unlock an iPhone for any reason under any circumstances.

HT201322 I have deleted tv shows I purchased but they still show up on my iphone. They are not in the cloud or in Itunes under purchased.

I deleted some old music videos and 6 tv shows from ITunes. I had purchased them. Yet they still appear on my Iphone (yes they do have a cloud in the bottom right corner), but they don't show up in my purchases when sign in and check in the cloud, nor do they show up in Itunes. It is as if they are hung up in the cloud, and I cant delete them. There is no trace of them anywhere in the ITunes Library or Cloud. I see them in my Recycle bin on the desktop. Any suggestions? If they are showing in the Videos app with a cloud then go into Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and set Videos (under the 'Show All') heading 'off' - you might (depending upon which country that you arein) have a similar button for music and the Music app.

They are not on the iphone in the first place. It is just a setting that allows you to see the songs that are available in icloud, but not on your iphone. If you turn the setting to off, then you no longer see the songs that are in icloud, but NOT on your iphone.

I'm trying to make some room on my iMac hard rive, which is almost full after 4 years of movies,music, pictures, etc. I bought an external hard drive and thought I moved most of the movies and pics to the ext drive, but they still show as taking up space

I recently got a message saying that my startup disk was almost full. I tried moving files on to an external drive to make some space, but the files still show as taking up room when I look at my product info storage. The files appear to have been moved and deleted off of my internal drive. I copied them from one to the other and then moved the ones on the internal to my trash and then emptied the trash folder. What else can I do. When I open iMovie, even though I moved the movies from the iMovie folder, they still load as iMovie thumbnails, which takes forever. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

First of all make sure that you've definitely backed up the movies to your external hard disc.
In iMovie click on any event you don't want, go to the file menu and select 'move event to trash'. Then do the same for any unwanted projects - 'move project to trash'. Quit out of iMovie and empty the trash.

I lost all my files (photo, music, documents, ect), but they still show on the Mac HD.

My wife created a new account from our joint admin account. She also made that second account an admin. account. Then she went into the new account and played around with the file sharing option in system prefereneces. She was unable to get the accounts to share, so she deleted the new account and restarted the computer. Now, our first/main admin. account has lost all the files. There are no documents, photos or media in the origianl admin account. However, when I go into finder and click "get info" on the Mac HD, it still shows that 300GB are used. I understand this to mean that the lost files are still on the HD. But I am unable to figure out how to get them back onto our user account. Can anyone help me?

Deleted user account, but account still shows up in Login Window

I deleted the user from the system preferences but it is still showing up in the login window. I restarted and rebooted. I even reset the admin password manually with rm/ var/db/.AppleSetupDone.
What do I do?
User V.K. helped a previous post but I am not sure if those instructions are specific to what the needs were of the person. I need an explanation for TERMINAL COMMAND.

Might be a corrupted preference file...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following;
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.loginitems.plist file to the Trash.
Reatart your Mac.
If that didn't help, move the com.apple.loginwindow.plist file from the Preferences folder as well, then restart.

I remove lyrics from iTunes, but they still show up in my iPhone :(

So I download a song and it came with some unwanted text. I clicked on the song, went to file>get info, clicked on the lyrics tab, and removed the text. Then I synced my iPhone. However, the unwanted text still show up in my iPhone. What can I do to get rid of it?

I am currently running two email accounts on my iPhone 4s.
Both accounts have email/contacts/calendar synced to the phone so I can have all contacts on the phone.
I now have to close one of these accounts due to work but I would like to keep all the contacts on the account I am closing, on the iPhone.

HT1766 How can I view the content of an iCloud backup of a previous device? I have two backups showing in iCloud, one for my current device and one for a previous device. I would like to review the content from the prior device and possibly consolidate

I want to review content in a backup from a previous iOS device to decide whether to delete the backup from iCloud. I'm most concerned about keeping photos I took on the previous phone. Ideally, I would consolidate the photos to my current device and have just one backup in iCloud.
My current device is a iPhone 5s running 7.0.6, and my prior device was an iPhone 5. Not sure what version of iOS I was running, but last backup on that phone was march 2013.
