I deleted all my contacts!! iCloud?

So I accidentally (intentionally but didn't realize it would delete them permanently) deleted all of my contacts on Address Book on my macbookpro, and iCloud automatically deleted them off my iPhone 4S..! It happened last week, and I've tried everything since then. I've tried restoring from backup about 30 times (the backup was from before I deleted the contacts), and  I talked to 2 different Apple representatives for an hour. They told me to do what I had already tried.
So here's the thing,
I think my contacts are still stored somewhere. Each time after I try restoring from backup, it'll turn on, and I'll see the names on the "Favorites" for a brief second, and they'll turn into numbers again. It happens every time.
Also, I thought my iCloud account was messing it up, turning it back to how it was since there's no contacts saved on my mac anymore. So I tried to sign out from my Apple ID and deleted my iCloud account on my phone. I also tried signing out from iCloud on my mac.
But when I turn my phone back on after restoring from backup, it automatically signs me back into my iCloud account on my phone. (not on mac)
I also tried creating a new Apple ID. I signed out of all of the programs that required Apple ID and logged back in using my new ID, and then I restored from backup.
As it turns out, my new Apple ID stayed logged in on iTunes and iCloud on my mac, but it changed it back to my old Apple ID on my iPhone..
I'm so tired of trying everything. I'm sorry it's so long, and it may sound like I'm just renting, but I really really NEED HELP!:(
I haven't synced my phone since this happend other than restoring from backup.
Somebody please help.....
I have so many apple products, but I hate technology!
As my dentist told me the other day, sometimes it's a problem that electronics do what you tell them to do.
So true...
Anybody has any idea what I should do to do to restore my contacts?
I'm thinking about taking it to an Apple store, but the closest one to my house is still an hour away...
Please help and I'll really appreciate it! Thank you!:)

iCloud backup doesn't contain your contacts is true.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4859
This article says :
You get 5 GB of free iCloud storage for:
Device settings (for example: Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts)
This only talks about device settings for the Mail, Contacts, Calendar tab on the iOS device and the accounts therein.
If icloud would have included the contacts , they should be showing under Manage Storage > Backup Options
Moreover this article states no where that iCloud backup includes contacts.

Hi.  I was setting up an iCloud account on my son's iPhone.  We set up the account, but then decided to delete it.  When we did, we accidentally deleted all the contacts from his iPhone.  There was no backup done yet.  I tried backing up his contacts in verizon backup, but that didn't work.  Can anyone help p,was.  He lost hundreds of contacts

If you deleted the account by going to Settings>icloud, scrolled to bottom of page and tapped Delete Account, then all you have to do is go to the same page an sign in using the same ID; be sure Contacts is turned on.

  • I took my daughter's new Iphone 5 to shop and they replaced it with a new one.  Today she logged on to my ICloud account and deleted all my contacts and just kept the ones she wanted.  Can I retrieve my contacts, please help

My daughter has a new Iphone 5 and we share an ITunes account.  She logged on to my Icloud Account and deleted all my contacts this morning.  Can i restore this as I now only have her friends as my contacts?

No, data like Email, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes are only synced between devices and not included in icloud backups, so unfortunately you won't be able to restore them. Please see also: iCloud storage and backup overview: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12519/

  • HT5824 How can I delete all my contacts from icloud with a single command?

I would like to delete all my contacts from iCloud so when I synchronize with my other devices, the one I already have don't be duplicated or deleted

If you delete all your iCloud contacts, then enable contact syncing with your other devices, the empty iCloud contacts are likely to overwrite the contacts on your other devices and you will lose them.
Do you have a master list of contacts on one of your devices that you are trying to replace the iCloud contacts with?

  • How can I delete all my contacts from the icloud?

I've been working with Apple's sometime, and now I have been forced to use iCloud after MobileMe.
After syncing a couple of devices, some things went quite wrong. My iCloud contacts are now a complete mess. I have lots of duplicates. And over 8000 contacts.
What I want to do is, is do a cleanup, and clear all the iCloud contacts, and import a new 'clean' address book from 1 mac to the icloud, which then in it's turn can be synced to all the devices?
Is dit possible? I've noticed deleting manually is a pain, because the browser doesn't really allow more then 50 contacts or so at a time, before the browser freezes.

Go to your Contacts on your Mac - if more than one pick the most accurate; delete any contacts you don't want. Select all the contacts, and from the File menu choose 'Export...'>'Export vCard'. Save the resultant file safely: it will be your 'master' list.
Now delete all the contacts from whichever device has the most in it. Sync with iCloud. If necessary repeat with different Macs. The result should be that the deletions sync to iCloud and in the end you finish up with empty Contacts lists everywhere.
Now you can import your saved file to one of your Macs. Make sure you import it under 'iCloud' not 'On My Mac'. Then it should propagate iCloud and any other devices. Keep the saved file at least until you are satisfied that all is in order.

There is an option, under Advanced, on the Info Pane in iTunes to replace all contacts on your phone with what's on your computer for the next sync only. So, edit everything on your computer & use that method.

how do i delete all my contacts on icloud

Go to icloud.com on your computer, sign into your iCloud account, open your contacts, click on a single contact, press control-A to select all contacts, press the Delete key on your keyboard.  Do this for all groups to be sure you get them all.  Note: if any of your devices are signed into this account with contact syncing set to on, this will also delete the contacts from your devices.

  • HT204150 i downloaded icloud and it deleted all my contacts

how do i fix this? i tried turning off icloud contacts i even went online the only names it shows are the names of 5 people i added after it deleted all my contacts.. i want to get my contacts restored to how they where before i installed icloud.. please help!!!!

It looks like you didn't do a backup of of the device just before upgrading the iOS.  Have you ever make an icloud backup or one through iTunes?  If so, reset the device and restore from the backup.  If you currently have photos on the device, be sure to first sync them to a computer, otherwise a restore will very likely not return the photos, even though it should.

  • My non-so-techno missus has had my old iphone4s, deleted all my contacts, and put hers in, then backed up to iCloud (mine) so now I have her contacts on my 5s......and ideas?

My non-so-techno missus has my old iPhone 4S, deleted all my contacts and put hers in, then backed up to iCloud (mine) so now I have all her contacts on my 5s.....any ideas?

iCloud isn't a backup where Contacts etc. are concerned, it's a syncing service. Any changes you make on any device connected to it are transmitted to iCloud and then to other devices. If your son signed into your iCloud account and deleted contacts then that's the same as if you had deleted contacts on your own device. I'm afraid that as far as iCloud is concerned, deleted is deleted. If you don't have an independent backup such as Time Machine, or a backup of your iOS device on iCloud or iTunes, then you can't retrieve your data. If you had made a backup of your iOS device you can restore that - it will restore the entire backup so any changes made subsequent to the backup will be lost.

  • When I delete all my contact from iCloud, How I can restore them?

when I delete all my contact from iCloud, How I can restore them?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
To restore from a back up made through iTunes, follow these instructions.
To restore from a back up made through iCloud, try the following:
The difficulty in restoring iCloud data from a back up is that the back up is older than the current version on iCloud and anything that is restored gets removed again when an iCloud sync occurs.
Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
Start the restore from iCloud back up.
Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
Wait for the time out confirmation.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn off contact syncing (keep contacts when prompted).
Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
Delete any iCloud contacts from iCloud.com on a computer.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn on contact syncing (merge contacts when prompted).
May I suggest that you carry out a back up to iTunes before you try anything, that way should things become even worse, you can at least restore back to where you are now.

  • How to delete all calendars from icloud?

So I decided it was finally time to try out iCloud, and immediately regretted this decision when my iCal, Safari bookmarks and Address Book all got messed up in different ways. I've managed to fix all these issues (by signing out of iCloud on all my devices and restoring my bookmarks and address book from backups) and I've deleted all old backups from iCloud so it's now showing 5GB of 5GB as free. And yet, when I went to icloud.com I could still see the calendars and contacts that were there before. I've deleted all the contacts, and all the calendars but one, but when I got to the last calendar and tried to delete it I got the following message : "you need to have at least one calendar that you own. To delete this calendar, create a new one."
The best part is, even if I create a new calendar there I still get that message when I try to delete the other one. Is it too much to want to simply delete everything off my iCloud? This entire process has been beyond frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated.

Look like you have duplicate calendars. Find the name of the calendar on your iPhone and the color of the event labels. Then look at your computer. Find the one with the different label/name/color. You can delete that calendar.

  • IPHONE 4 – UPDATE ISSUE – IOS 7 UPDATE DELETED ALL THE CONTACTS : PLEASE HELP! PLEASE HELP!

    Hello Everyone,
Following are the seemingly essential details in regards to this discussion :
    iPhone Model = 4
    Purchase Date = 05.Jan.2011
Initial Activation Remark = I used my gmail email account to add contacts initially. But phone always failed to sync (back) with gmail after the initial setup. As in if I make any changes in the iPhone’s Contact List, it won’t automatically be saved to my gmail account. But I thought to keep a full phone back up on my MacBook Pro will be safer option as well.
    Latest Full Phone Backup Date = 19.Sep.2013 [via iTunes-11 on MacBook Pro-OS X 10.8.2]
    iOS 7 Update Date = 20.Sep.2013
    >>>[It went "On" Automatically when I touched to read the details, and could not stop once it got initiated - Actually I wanted to wait until some reviews were out. ****.]
Problem = iOS 7 update deleted all the Contacts that were originally saved on the iPhone.
Tried & Failed = I tried to restore from the available 19.Sep.2013 backup from my MacBook Pro. It restored everything but still NO CONTACTS. If I add email [orginal gmail] account's contacts then it does not show the contacts that I saved on the phone locally; around 1100.
I am in the great trouble because my 1100+ contact list just zeroed by this new update.
[Also, my iCloud all got screwed up. I had earlier used my wife's credit card to register for iTunes, and now my account got her name all over it. There is no option to change the name on icloud.com. I will start a new discussion for this problem.] Though I am trying not to lash out on Apple (for now), but I think that it is seriously getting into my nerves.
Could anyone please help me to get my contacts back? I will be eternally grateful.
I still got the Full iPhone Backup on my MacBook Pro that I did just before the update.
    Please help. Thank you!

    Yes, I did.
It restored everything [incl. photos] but phone contacts.
And, after restoration the iOS was still 7.
I tried twice but still no phone contacts.
Please help me to get my phone contacts back!
