I deleted all my photos but there are still 17GB of photos on my ipad.
I synced my iPad with my mac and I imported all my photos and videos. Then I deleted all of them from my ipad. When I open the photos app there isn't a single photo there nor a video. But when I open my settings to view how much storage I have it says that there are still 17gb of photos on my ipad.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

it sounds like photo stream is enabled. Go to settings>icloud>photos>turn off off the following:
iCloud Photo Library (Beta)
Upload to My Photo Stream
iCloud Photo Sharing
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support

I have "un-synched" all music on my iPhone 5s, but there are still a few albums that were not deleted. When I check "On This Phone" in iTunes, those albums that remain show in dark print, while those deleted remain a lighter text. First of all... You don't need a credit card to make an Apple ID.
To buy Paid apps, you can use an iTunes card or an Appstore card.
Also, I'm not sure you can download music you got from email to your music on your phone.
However, I think you can download the music you got from your email on your computer, transfer it to iTunes, and then sync your phone. That should work.
And I don't think you can share files via bluetooth with other phones. -

I am having trouble downloading a whole playlist to my phone. Parts of the playlist will sync but there are still a lot of songs that won't. I have plenty of space to hold this playlist as far as I can see. Any help is appreciated.
I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/ -
I just downloaded the latest version of firefox (5.0). Can I delete all the older versions that are still on my drive?
When I call up some web sites sometimes the web site comes up 3 or 4 times...how do I stop this from happening? I would strongly advise you not to let it sit in the Inbox.
When you see this happening, try right-click on the affected folder, select '''Properties''' then '''Repair Folder'''.
Large folders (actually, a folder in Thunderbird is stored as a file, so it is sensitive to file size limits set by the underlying file system) can be problematic. This is one reason not to let messages collect in one folder. I use Thunderbird's Archive folders so that accumulated mails over several years can happily coexist because they are effectively stored in many small folders. No single mail store folder then exceeds the 2GB or 4GB sizes that have been known to stress the OS. I appreciate that current builds of Thunderbird and a modern 64-bit OS should be able to cope, but practically I find it slows down when given huge files, so I err towards a pragmatic solution; a large number of not very big files.
Archives are searchable, and a Saved Search folder can give you a virtual composite folder allowing access to the entire Archive. -
By mistake I deleted all my photos from my Ipad Retina Display, I don't have backup. Please, how can I recover them?

Please help.You can not put them back in the camera roll. The camera roll is temporary storage for new photos taken with the phone. You can sync them back to your phone in another album using iTunes.
As for whatsapp, ask the developer. That is not an Apple product. -
I have set up match but there are still 6.3 GBs of Music stored on my mac. Why?
I have signed up for Match and run it successfully, and I thought that it would automatically remove the music in my iTunes Library to the Clould. But using OmniDiskSweeper, I see there are still 6.3 GBs of Music in the iTunes Media folder. How do I get rid of this? I don't want to clutter up my macbook air playing my music from the drive.
Yes, the ones in the cloud are playable, but they must first be downloaded in order to play them.
You delete the ones on your computer from the folders in which they are stored on your computer. Delete tracks in iTunes by selecting the ones you wish to delete then hit the Delete key. iTunes should show each track twice. One copy has a cloud and one does not. The ones with the cloud are the ones stored in Match.
Do not delete anything until Match tells you that all the music files have been transferred. -

AAfter updating software, o. My iPad, all the people I have iMessaged this summer, come up on my background as circles ( in the area the app icons appear). How do I delete them? I have already deleted all messages in iMessage and they are still there! Anyone know how to do this?
You can turn off the showing of your contacts on the taskbar via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Show In App Switcher 'off'

Using Firefox 3.6.12 on both machines. Exported the bookmarks at html and imported them as html. The import seemed to go well -- followed the standard approach. I can see all the folders in my Bookmarks Menu and Bookmarks Toolbar, there are no bookmarks in the folders. I tried re-exporting and re-importing.
You can find the Import menu entry in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)

Import & Backup is the third button on the toolbar in the Library that looks like a star.
You should be able to export the bookmarks via that button.

Deleted videos from iphoto but they are still showing up in the finder?
I deleted all of my videos from iPhoto and moved them to an external hard drive because I wanted to free up some space on my MacBook Air. The files are no longer visible in the iPhoto application, but for some reason, when I look at the storage space on my computer, it is still showing that I have 8GB of movies on my computer. If I search in the Finder, it is showing that a lot of these videos that I deleted from iPhoto are still in a "Masters" folder in iPhoto. I am confused, though, because if I open iPhoto, the videos are not in there. I want these video files to be deleted for good - can I just go in to the "Masters" folder in the Finder and delete them there? I've read not to delete anything from iPhoto in the Finder, though. So, getting very frustrated because I'm not sure why these files aren't fully deleted off my computer. Any suggestions?
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

So I have gone back to my 8GB nano and needed to downsize my library so that the songs fit on.
I went through deleting songs and made sure that I clicked 'send to recycle bin' instead of save file.
Library looks great.
Go to 'My Music' and 'iTunes' and all the flipping songs are still there!
Tried empyting recycle bin, restarting computer, read lots of comments/forums on this problem but have not yet found a way to sync my new library with my computers stored library.
Please help?Thank you for your reply, what I am trying to achieve is for my newly edited iTunes Library to be what is also stored on my computers hard drive - currently all the deleted songs are stored too (even though I clicked for them to be deleted from my computer).
I appreciate that I could have just created a smaller playlist but I actually wanted to get rid of music I don't listen to anymore.
So at the moment I have an iTunes library that I want to back up on my external hard drive - but if I go to my music>iTunes music to transfer to external hard drive it has all my deleted songs too, which I no longer want.

Most of my contacts are gone. My favorites and call log show numbers but no names. It did not remove all contacts but most of them. I can type in the name and it comes up but is it not listed in my contacts.
Within Contacts, tap Groups at top left. Make sure all contact groups are checked to show, then tap "Done" at top right.
