I deleted an app downloaded from the Mac App Store, Mac App Store is showing an update for deleted app.

I downloaded Blackmagic Speed Disk from the Mac App store last year.  Its not a pirated copy or anything.  I deleted the app cause I never used it.  After I deleted the app the Mac App Store shows an available update for the deleted app.  When I click update, it just re-downloads the app.   Cant figure out how to completly get rid of it.  I uninstalled the app and then used easy file finder to delete the app's files completely.  How do I get rid of the annoying Update??? Thanks

  • Can the app downloaded from the appstore run on mac book pro

I don't have iphone or itouch. Can i run the downloaded application on my macbook. Is there any software to do that. Thanks.

Acorrding to the technical specs, it shoots mpeg4/h.264... However, I see other places mention it is MTS...
Do you still have the original file structure intact? Or do you have just individual movie files? whats the extension? .MTS, .MPEG4, MOV?
If MTS and you no longer have the original file sturcute intact, you need to use Clipwrap, if you do have the original files structure, you may be able to import using Log and Transfer....

  • Help! After interrupting an installation of a program downloaded from the internet on my mac in a reboot cycle will not start, I've already done the disk check and it's ok and I reinstalled the OS 10.8 Lion

After interrupting an installation of a program downloaded from the internet on my mac in a reboot cycle will not start, I've already done the disk check and it's ok and I reinstalled the OS 10.8 Lion

In this case, I think that there's something damaged that can't be fixed just reinstalling OS X.
If you don't want to lose files, you will have to create a second partition in the hard drive and install OS X there, so you will be able to recover everything you need. Then, you will have to erase the first partition and reinstall OS X. Follow these steps:
    1. Hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility.
    2. You can follow the steps of this site to create a second partition > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU3.html
    3. After creating the second partition, close Disk Utility and install OS X on the second partition.
    4. When the installation finishes, open Finder and, in the sidebar, you will see the other partition. Open it and recover the files you need.
    5. After doing that, repeat the step 1.
    6. Select “Macintosh HD” in the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
    7. Close Disk Utility and install OS X on the first partition.
After doing all of these steps (you will need a lot of time to do this), you can delete the second partition you created and add the size of this partition into the first one > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU4.html

  • Can't open any apps downloaded from the internet after installing application loader update and messages beta

I've run into an unusual problem recently. I think it it related to two recent software installs. The problem only started after i installed the new application loader.
My issue : I'm unable to open application I downloaded from the web. I get the following error message below.
Question: Has anyone else run into this issue and do you have a solution?
    Thanks for you help.
P.S I haven't tried rolling back the lastest softwarte installs yet. I'm hoping I can avoid that.

When I press cancel nothing happens. I can do nothing and it still won't load the program.

  • How do I open apps downloaded from the internet on my macbook?

I downloaded an app from the Avery website to create labels. When I download the app and try to open it i get a garbled message. Any idea how I can open the app?

I was not given an option of which to download. I have this problem all the time and someone told me how to fix it once, but I cannot remember what the answer was.

  • Can my iPhone 5 be hacked through a free app downloaded from the App store?

I updated my phone to iOS 6.1.3 today. This evening (two hours ago) I downloaded a free app called "Caption Pics" by Viral Media Entertainment. About 15 minutes ago, something weird happened. I had 6 apps that the App Store wanted to update. I went to update them. The App Store asked for my Apple ID. Seemed odd to have to submit for an update, but I did. Got a message saying it was an incorrect password. So I entered it again. Same error. I enter it a 3rd time before I realize that it's asking me to enter an Apple ID for an ID that isn't even mine! It was completely different, even the domain name. I immediately deleted the two apps I downloaded today and restarted my iPhone. I also immediately reset Apple ID password from my computer. I saved my photos without syncing.  I'm doing a factory reset/restore right now. I'm a bit weirded out...
I realize it could be a fluke. Servers sometimes get bits of information mixed up. Someone else could be cursing right now because they think someone tried to hack them and got them locked out of the App Store. But still. This is weird.
Any insight? Anything else I can do to protect myself?

Did you happen to have a different apple id before or was the phone used and had apps on it? apps are tied to the apple id that you use to download them and if you changed your apple id before then whe they need to be updated you will have to use the apple id and password you originally used to download them.

  • Charges from apps downloaded from the App Store

When I download an app that costs say $3.99; is that a monthly charge to my account or just a one-time charge?
    jwizardp

All apps are purchased outright, the payment being made only one time, unless the app says that a subscription or additional purchase is also involved (for instance, a GPS app may be made available for free or very inexpensively but charge for maps). A developer may at some point charge a second time for a major upgrade, but I've not seen that happen yet.
    Regards.

  • Why was "Recent pages" downarrow removed from the navigation toolbar in Firefox 4? It showed recent pages for each open tab. I used it quite a bit and won't "upgrade" until it's back!

A missing "recent pages" button missing from Internet Explorer is one reason I don't use IE.
Recent pages used to be the down arrow to the right of the "Go forward one page" right arrow. Please restore ASAP

Use this to open the tab history list:
    * Right click on the Back or Forward button
    * Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens
You can look at this extension:

    Hi Sandra,
you'll need to edit the security settings to install programs 'Mac App Store and identified developers'
Open the Systems Preference and go to Security & Privacy.  There will be a section in the 'General' tab for 'Allow apps downloaded from:"  The default selection is 'Mac App Store'.  Change this setting to 'Mac App Store and identified developers".
This screenshot is taken on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may look slightly different if you're on a different OS X version.

  • How do I delete "Pending Available Downloads" from my queue?

How do I delete "Pending Available Downloads" from the list permanently?  I got a full season of a TV show, and all the HD versions won't go away!

Hi. I googled How to Delete Pending Downloads in iTunes and I found this info on answers.com. It worked for me. I had 35 pending downloads and every time I tried to delete them, they reappear every time I open iTunes and automatically start downloading to my pc. So annoying! Good luck...
On PC, go to /Users/yourUserName/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads/
Delete any folder for the download you want to remove
    Delete the file list.plist
When you next start iTunes or update apps the unwanted download will not start
If you interrupt a download in the future a new list.plist will be created containing the interrupted download and the original unwanted download

  • How to remove available downloads from the list

how to remove available downloads from the list without it resuming when i open itunes or check for available downloads?

There is not a way to remove them from the list.  Just let them download, and then delete them from your library when they are done.

  • Problems Installing App Downloaded from iTunes Store; Error Code 0xE800000C.

I am unable to install a new app downloaded from the iTunes Store.  I can connect with and download from iTunes with no problems.  But when I go to install the new app, the installation first appears to proceed okay, but after several minutes a message shows up saying that the app was not installed, and giving this error code: 0xE800000C.  During the installation, the progress bar pauses for quite a while at about one-fourth of the way across, then suddenly goes all the way across, and after that is when the message shows up.  I also tried installing another app, an earlier version of the first one, with the same result.  I have tried rebooting the phone and disabling my computer antivirus.  I have been able to install apps to this phone in the past using this same computer.  My iPhone has the latest software and I have the latest version of iTunes.
Any ideas how I can resolve this problem?
    Thanks.
    Geoff

I actually found the answer to my problem. After posting this question I still proceeded to trying to find the answer through internet searches and noticed that my specific Fault Module Name was Quickset.qts. I uninstalled and then reinstalled it and now I can play the videos just fine.
Thank you for taking the time to read. hope this helps someone in the future.
