I deleted an event from my iPhoto. Any ideas how to reimport the pics?

Hello - I deleted an event from my iPhoto. I found them under the original, when selecting 'show package contents'. Yet I cannot reimport the described event respectively pictures into the iPhoto library. Any ideas how to reimport the pics?

How did you "delete" the event? using iPhoto or the finder? Did you empty the iPhoto trash - this will remove the photos from iPhoto and from disk (iPhoto menu ==> empty trash). If you want any [hotos in teh iPhoto trash back in iPhoto select the iPhoto trash in the source pane on the left and select the photo(s) and right cliek and use the restore to library command
