Deleted idvd by accident how do i reinstall it

basically i tried deleting an application i was done with and i grabbed idvd by accident and i didnt realize it until i had emptied my trash can and that application was still there. i have the 2012 Macbook Pro preinstalled with mountain lion and it didn't come with discs so i have no idea how to install iDvd again. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

If you you're running Time Machine you can restore the iDVD application with it. Or if you have a backup of your boot drive get it from there.
Did or do you have an earlier Mac that came with iDVD installed? If so and you have the disks that came with it you can use the Software Restore disk to do a custom install of iDVD and it's themes. Or did you purchase an iLIfe disc at some time?
Otherwise you'll need to purcahse a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com or eBay.com.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

to reïnstall Mavericks on your 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, you can try booting into Recovery mode by holding down ⌘R as your MacBook Pro starts up. Eventually it will show an OS X Utilities menu on the desktop; select Reïnstall OS X from that menu, and follow the instructions which it provides to reïnstall it onto its internal disk.

Deleted photoshop elements by accident how do I reinstall it since no CD to pop in

I was trying to clean out my computer because although it is just 2 months old with nothing on it, it keeps saying no disc space with the root being in the HD drive. The largest thing on it was the photoshop elements organizer. So I trashed it. I didn't know you and to have both for it to freaking run just the editing part, which is all I use. Urgh...so how do I reinstall this on my computer since unlike a PC there is no disc to reinstall it?? Please help!

Okay, by removing it without using the uninstaller you have made a big ol' bunch of work for yourself. First you will need to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
After which you can go around and manually remove the bits left behind. Not only in Applications but also in your hard drive>library>application support>adobe and your username>library>preferences. You can't use spotlight to help you out; it's set up to skip these kinds of files.
Once all the detritus is gone, you can download the trial and reinstall using that. Just enter your serial number when asked.

You really can't uninstall it. When you say iTunes which app do you mean? Because there's not really an iTunes app on the iPad. There's a music one, an app store one, and a video one.
One way to make app icons not visible would be to restrict them. Settings, general, restrictions. He'll need to give you the 4 digit passcode he made to enable restrictions, and then in there you can unrestrict apps, which should make their icons visible again.

You can either download and reapply the 10.4.6 Combo Update, or extract just the application from said package using Pacifist. Hope that helps.

Go to Finder>Applications and then click on LaunchPad. It then should go to the Dock. The Dock is the row of App icons usually at the bottom of the screen.
Then right click on the LauchPad icon and go to Options and select Keep in Dock

Yep, would have to be Pacifist or a hold c and boot off the installer disk and a reinstall of OS X 10.6 over the installed 10.6.x version to get TextEdit back.
Shouldn't affect your files or third party programs, but that's what backups are for.

restore it via time machine. or To boot directly into the Recovery HD restart, wait for chime, press and hold COMMAND-R. this will allow you to reinstall lion which well put quicktime back one.
