I have blackberry curve 9360 .. and i had BBM 6.2.0... and i got a msg to upgrade my bbm to BBM 7.1 and i did upgrade it but it didn't work so i deleted it to reinstall the old one but i found that i can only download bbm 7 .. tell me please ASP what i can do ? :\

First On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device > Application Management > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from that list . When its done perform a battery pull reboot .Remove the battery while your device is Powered On. wait for a min then reinsert it back. your device may take a long reboot in this manner.

Now if you want to reinstall BBM7 then from your BlackBerry browser browse to www.blackberry.com/bbm .
Or if you want a previous version like BBM6.2 then from your BlackBerry browser browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=bbm6 .

go to 'Edit' in the menu bar. Then choose 'Preferences'.
you'll see a pop-up and there's a tab called 'Devices' there. If you click that, you will be able to check a box that says 'prevent automatic syncing for iPods, iPads and iPhones' or something like that.

NB: if you don't even see the menu bar that has options like 'File, Edit, View, etc', first click the black/white square button on the top left of your screen, and then click 'show menu bar'. It should pop right up.

I deleted Quicktime 10 and I want Quicktime 7.
I want more options when I export out of Quicktime. How do I get Quicktime to run on my iMac when my computer won't let me install it because it says I have Quicktime 10 on my computer already?
Right now, I don't think I have QT on my system in any form but the installer (when I tried to install 7) said I do.

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7or later : Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

Check Settings>General>Restrictions to be sure Camera, Safari and Installing Apps are set to On. If they are check all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

I"m guessing you're used to having iChat in the Dock. It should still be in the Applications folder. either drag it to the dock or create an alias and drag that to the dock (I think that means some form of right or left clicking on the app, and make alias should come up). If not, then I dunno
just a guess on this one...I didn't quite understand the question (maybe it's just me, though)

Hey Hallmarie, leave it turned off, do not attempt to charge or use. Place it in a sealed back of uncooked rice for at least 7 days, change the rice ever couple of days and hope for the best. After it has dried attempt to turn your iPod on. You may need to charge for 30 minutes, keep a close eye on it during this charge, if you hear noises, crackling, popping or hissing, or something smells like burning rubber or plastic, or you see smoke or it get very hot, unplug your iPod ASAP! and do not use; all signs your fried it. You may need to Reset or Restore or use DFU recovery mode to get it work, and when your all done this iPod may never work again. But for a couple of bucks worth of rice... worth a try. If you do get it to work the first thing you want to do is make a full set of backups, no telling how long it will work. Hope this helps, but be prepared to buy an out of warranty replacement. Need more information. Did you delete the iTunes application or a particular piece of content (movie, app, music etc)?
Music, apps, TV Shows, Books can be reloaded if they were purchased from iTunes. Non-purchased music gets this function with iTunes Match. Movies is currently US only, and not all titles are available at this time.

How can I back just some of my bookmarks? I have many folders in my Firefox bookmarks directory and only want to back up one.

I have 30 or so folders in my main bookmarks directory, and I need to export just one of them to another computer. I've tried various ways, but the entire bookmark file ends up in the export.l

Ok, found a way that works, but it's kinda inelegant. Remember, my task was how to export one of 18 favorites directories:
1) Open the Favorites Library (see above for methods).
2) Click on the "Import and Backup" menu item, select "Backup..." and follow instructions to create a backup file.
3) Back in the Favorites Library, in the left pane click on "Bookmarks Menu". You should see all of your bookmarks and bookmark folders in the right pane.
4) Click on one of them then do Ctrl-a to select all of them.
5) Holding the Ctrl key down de-select the folder(s) you wish to export.
6) With all the unwanted folders and bookmarks selected, hit the delete key.
7) Now do an export. It will contain only the folders/bookmarks you did not delete.
8) Once you verify the exported file contains what you want, go back to the Favorites Library, click on the "Import and Backup" menu, select "Restore...", navigate to your backup file and restore your Favorites.
Took longer to type the above steps than it actually takes to do it...

I disabled the fax function on hp 8600 and now want it back.

I went to fax something and the message says fax disabled see administrator. I have reinstalled the printer using the CD and the message still comes up. I cannot even print a test page because all features having to do with the fax says it is disabled.

I noticed your post about the issues you are having with your Officejet 8600 printer, and I wanted to write you back with a suggestion of mine.
I would suggest restoring the printer back to factory defaults, which will yes indeed delete the majority of information you have programmed, such as fax contacts and a network connection, if you have the printer on a network. However, this may help the printer get out of the state it's in, and allow you to make changes again, such as run the fax setup and print test pages.
On the printer, select Setup, Tools, Restore Factory Defaults, Yes, Restart the printer afterwards.

Deleted songs on iphone, I want them back. Songs still in itunes won't sync back

I imported these songs from my CD. Placed them in a playlist and synced my phone. Songs were fine. I later deleted the songs on my phone them to make room, but now I want them back. I tried re-syncing songs with the following options checked: manage songs manually. All songs, albums, and playlists are checked accordingly. I've synced and re-synced. The songs do not appear on my phone. However, when I look at iTunes. All songs and playlists are there and they are checked. What am I doing wrong?

You can always go back into iTunes and repurchase the apps. iTunes will see you already paid for them and download them for free. If you purchased any of the apps on your iPhone and haven't synced since, you can transfer purchases off your iPhone to iTunes.
