I deleted my filevault.. Now I can't log in. Please HELP!

Hi All,
I recently deleted my filevault from my bf's username, and now cannot log into my account. He can still log in, and I can log into my other account. I would just use the other account I have set up but all my music, photos etc are on my account that I cannot access
I've been looking for solutions online, and managed to log into my Root User account but when I go to Macintosh HD > Users (as the internet told me) my user name isn't there so I cannot follow the guide to get it working again
Please help this is driving me crazy, and making me reach a point where I want to get rid of this Mac and buy a PC - because I cannot resolve any issues I have!!
Any help would really be appreciated here

I think yur best bet is to contact the Music store customer service. They have access to your accounts and will be able to understand why it didn't let you log in the first time.

Okay, so I have been having trouble with my mail application all week. The window refused to open and would not quit. Today, I tried to shut down my mac and a pop up window told me that I was unable to shutdown because mail was open. After using a key combination, I successfully was able to quit mail with force quit. Then I was able to shut down with out a problem. However, upon rebooting, my computer refused to let me loggin. I put in my password correctly but then the rainbow pinwheel showed up and stalled for a minute and then my screen flashed and the gray screen reappeared, expecting a password. I tried turning it off and back on again with no luck. I also reset my password after reading a similar discussion, but I still can't log in. How can I fix this?

Uninstalled MediaSmart TV, Now I can't reinstall it, Please help

Hello, I have a HP HDX X18T-1100 CTO. My TV audio was out of sync, so I did an update for the TV. Then error messages for the TV kept coming up, so I decided to uninstall the MediaSmart TV from the control panel and reinstall it using the HP drivers. The HP driver sp37430 failed to install saying that I have a new version on the system. I've also tried sp42505, sp43648, sp43595, sp43747, and sp4877, and some other sp files to no avail. I'm using Vista Home Premium 32 Bit. Please help me reinstall the MediaSmart TV. By the way, the other MediaSmart applications are working including the MediaSmart DVD, Music, Video, and Photos. It is just my TV that is gone. Thank you in advance for your help.

First of all, this forum is not very helpful. It doesn't look like there are any HP technicians assigned to support the forums.
Anyway, I was able to fix my problem by myself. The MediaSmart system is not as straightforward as other typical programs.
Here was the solution that worked for me. I did a system restore and was able to get the TV feature to return to the MediaSmart program. However, it was still not working, although the option was back. Then I ran sp42505 and it fixed the the TV. It also seemed to have fixed the audio sync problem.
sp42505 was not even offered in the software files available for my notebook. The update that was available from HP for my notebook was what caused the problem in the first place. Actually, it was the problem with the audio sync that got me to screw around with everything. Then the update caused the resident program failure issue. Thanks HP for providing faulty software and then offering updates to make it even worse. And finally, not provide any guidance to fix the problem.

Mountain Lion iMovie I deleted files and now I can't log in at all

I was editing a movie in iMac, but when I went to finalize the project, it told me I didn't have enough memory. I checked and re-checked and I could not find what was using it up. My movie/photos etc totaled a litte over 100 gigs out of 1 TB. I downloaded a couple of programs to see what was taking up the space but finally found out that 719 gigs was being used by a huge file called "bands." I deleted the file and now when I try to log in I am told that file vault cannot log me in at this time. I have been trying for two days to log in. I was connected to Lacie 6TB but upon disconnecting the size of the file did not decrease.
Am I screwed? Are there any solutions? Apple refuses to even acknowledge my mail, so I assume this is a problem they don't want to hear about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using OSX Mountain Lion.

Wrong CD name - now I can't correct it - please help!

I inserted a commerical CD and 2 names came up. I chose the "wrong" one and now when I insert the CD, everything is in German.
Anyone know how I can delete the stored name? Is that in the launch services database? If I clear that, will it fix the problem? And will doing so create a new problem for me?

SOLVED!
It wasn't the OS, but iTunes that asked. When I inserted the disk again, I requested the track names (get track names) and it repeated the option for the alternate titles. I selected the correct one this time.

My battery died while I was powering down my computer. Now I can't login. Please help?!

I was in the process of powering down my computer when the battery ran out of power. Now after I have typed my password to login and pressed Return nothing happens. I can move the mouse but everything else freezes up and I can't click on anything. The only thing I can do is to manually power it down with the power-button. I am using Time Machine and therefore I re-installed a copy that was one week old but the same problem still exists.
What do I do now?
I have the first version of Macbook with the aluminum body.

I am not sure how you re-installed from Time Machine, if you can't click on anything? Anyway, with the power chord connected (since the battery is flat), try an SMC reset as described in the link.

If this doesn't improve the situation, I would suggest holding the Option key during a restart and selecting the Recovery partition, from where you can verify the disk and repair permissions and ultimately to do a re-instal of Lion if necessary.

Hi, am using Joomla 1.7.3 - FF upgraded yesterday to 9.0.1. Now can't login to front end. OK on other browsers. Worryingly, uninstalled and downloaded FF 8 and still can't log in - please help

Somehow I got my website page enlarged and now I can't reduce it, please help

I have no idea what I did. the mouse started to enlarge the page way more than it should and now the page is stuck at enlarged and when I scroll it down small, it's still way bigger than it should be. I know it's simple but I don't know what to do to fix it. Other pages are fine....only the one I was on when it happened.

If you use the keyboard shortcut Control+0 (zero) it should reset the page zoom.
Alternatively press either Alt or F10 to display the menus, then in the View menu select Zoom, and then select Reset.

When you erase the phone via Settings/General/Erase All Content and Settings or using Find My iPhone/Erase in iCloud and you then attempt to reactivate it again, as part of the activation process it has to contact an Apple server (called the "activation server") and from it receive the OK to activate the phone after checking your Apple ID and password are valid, the software installed on the phone is correctly signed and so forth. If it cannot contact the Apple activation server for some reason (it's down or you don't have internet connectivity, etc.) then you will get this message and the activation process cannot proceed.
First thing to check is that you have a working internet connection, WiFi is okay, etc. If that is all okay then maybe the Apple activation server is down or unreachable because of issues at Apple's end, in that case simply wait a while and try the activation again, hopefully it will now work.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Go into your account in the App Store, sign out, do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release.
