I deleted my icloud backup by accident

I deleted my icloud backup from my iphone by accident, but I can still see that it shows up on iCloud.com. Anyone know how to get this to show up on my phone again? I lost all my photos when I reset it.

You are not seeing your backup on icloud.com.  What you are seeing is data synced from your phone to iCloud.  (Syncing data with iCloud is different from backing up to iCloud.)  To recover synced data like contacts and calendars, you simply go to Settings>iCloud, confirm that you are sign into your iCloud account, then turn Contacts, Calendars, etc. to On.  If prompted, choose merge.

  • What happens if I click "delete backup" in order to delete the iCloud backups from my sisters phone off my device. Will it delete everything on her phone?

So a while ago when I got my phone I started a new Apple ID account/ iCloud.. Then when my sister got a new iphone I gave her my id to use too. In settings-general-usage it says that my storage is almost full. I then click on manage storage and it shows my phone and my sisters phone and how many gb or whatever. Also it says "last backup failed" and other stuff that's Irrelevant. Now when I click on my sisters phone I have an option to "delete backup" MY QUESTION is if I click the delete backup button will it just delete the iCloud backup off my phone OR will it totally delete everything involving the backup off my sisters phone forever??? Please help! Thank you so much!!!!!

Deleting a backup deletes the backup only from the iCloud storage, not anything on the iPhone.
The iPhone's iCloud backup will be updated at some point - automatically when the iPhone is connected to an available wi-fi network while connected to a power source unless the iCloud backup is turned off on the iPhone.

  • Is it possible to delete your iCloud backup while you're restoring from it?

I was restoring my phone from an iCloud backup when all of a sudden my phone kept yelling at me that my iCloud storage was full. I mindlessly deleted the OLD backup from which I was restoring from to make room for the new one. I'm not sure if my phone was completely finished with restoring and wanted to know if it was possible to delete an iCloud backup while restoring.
    Thanks!
Edit: sorry for saying "restoring" so many times in three sentences !

Okay thank you so much! Before my restore, I only had ~0.3gb free on my phone and now I have 3gb so I thought it was because the restore didn't complete. I guess it was because not everything was backed to iCloud!

  • I deleted my icloud acct by accident and now i lost my contacts list

I deleted my icloud account by accident and I lost all my contacts can I get them back?

If you "deleted" the icloud account from a device, just go to Settings>icloud and log back in using the same ID and password.

  • If you delete your icloud backup will it delete everything that was backed up?

If you delete your icloud backup will it delete everything that was backed up?

It will only delete the backup from iCloud.  It won't delete anything from your phone.

  • What happens to my photos if i delete my icloud backup?

what happens to my photos if i delete my icloud backup?

Nothing.  Deleting the backup only deletes the backup.  It doesn't delete anything else from iCloud or from your devices/computers.

  • What is deleted when I delete my iCloud backup?

What will I lose when I delete my iCloud backup?  Pictures? Notes?

You'll lose that backup file but nothing that's on the device.
Just make a new backup after deleting the old one.

  • If I delete my iCloud backup will it wipe all the content from my phone?

If I want to delete my iCloud back up to clear the iCloud memory, will it delete the content on my phone? I want to delete it then back it up again hoping I'll have more iCloud space available afterwards but I don't want to lose everything!
    Thanks

Delete iCloud backup will not erase data in iPhone. After deletion be sure that you have all your space available before make a new backup.

  • Can I delete my iCloud backup for my iPhone 5 used to install on my IPhone 6? I think it is interfering with my new phone

I try to delete my my texts and they restore. I think it's due to my iPhone 5 backup

Yes you could delete backups without loosing anything on your device, but iCloud storage has nothing to do with your local device capacity. I guess that your device is just full and that you have to delete something like apps, movies etc to free up some space for other content.
iCloud uses its storage only for
Photos and videos in the Camera Roll
Device settings (for example: Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts)
    App data
    Home screen and app organization
    Messages (iMessage, SMS, and MMS)
    Ringtones
    Visual Voicemails
purchases of apps, music, videos do not count against your iCloud storage capacity ( but please see also iCloud backup and restore overview http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4859).

  • Not able to delete an icloud backup

I first had an iPhone 4. Since two days I have an iPhone 4S. Now i wanted to delete the backup of my iPhone 4. But I got a message, that I nearly reached my limit of 5 GB. So I selecedt the old backup and pressed delete. Then I got a message, that deleting is not possible. I cannot delete any of my iPhone-backups, but the backup of my iPad. I tryed it many times.

Same here. I had a 3GS backup in iCloud, now I have a 4S. When trying to delete the 3GS backup from iCloud to save some space for my 4S, it says I cannot remove the backup. Tried it from my iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S and my Macbook Pro, all without success. Is this just temporarily? Are more people having trouble?

  • Photos deleted after iCloud backup.  Please help!

So I did the iCloud backup from my old phone.  I already had photos on my new phone and now they are deleted.  Where would I find the videos and phots that were already on my new phone?  The backup deleted all my new phone photos, and backed up all the old ones?  Am I screwed?  Please help!!  Thank you

When you restore a backup, the restored data overwrites any existing data on the phone.
If you didn't back up your new phone before this happened, there is no way to recover the deleted photos and videos.  It you did, restore the backup of your new phone to recover them, then import them to your computer as explained here before restoring the old backup again: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

  • Can't delete old iCloud backup

Had a phone set up to back up to iCloud. That phone went dead, and was returned to Apple and exchanged with a new one. Because the screen went dead -- thus rendering the phone inoperable -- I was unable to shut off iCloud backups and delete the old backup.
Right now, I can't delete the old phone's iCloud backup, and I don't have enough space to start backups on the replacement phone. How can I resolve this?

If you registered your old phone with Apple, try unregistering it by:
    Going to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Loging in if not already logged in.
Clicking on ">" to the right of the phone listing
    Clicking "unregister"
This may take a day or two but hopefully will then allow you to remove the backup.
If it doesn't, then one option is to create a new iCloud account and migrate your data to the new account.  To do this, go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud, in case you ever want to re-use the account in the future.)  Next, set up a new iCloud account on this phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.

  • What will happen if I delete an iCloud backup?

Okay. So I have an iPhone 5 which I've been backing up with iCloud.. I have a total of 5GB but only 638MB available. This isn't enough room to back up my phone. I don't really want to buy more space so I tried to create some by deleting apps etc but it didn't make a difference. Do I need to delete pictures? I don't have any music.. When I tap Manage Storage, there are two options saying both named Tasha's iPhone, one takes up 1GB and the other takes up 3.3GB. Could one of these be from my old iPhone4 ? Also what happens if I delete these? Will all my apps and pictures be wiped from my phone? Or can I just delete them both then back up my phone again?
    I'd really appreciate the help!
    Thanks
    Natasha

One of those backups are from your old iPhone, and you will note this because on your device's backup you will see "My iPhone" or similar under its backup name. You can delete the old one without any problem, as you are not using it to store files.
If you delete your device backup, you will lose your backups. If you do this, I recommend you to turn off iCloud backup in Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup, and back up your phone every time you plug it to your PC or Mac with iTunes
