The settings app is built into the os, You CANNOT delete it no matter how hard you try. Try doing a search for it or check in a folder or two and it should turn up.

He means if you created any folders for your apps, check in those. It has to be either in a folder or on another page. The only way it could possibly actually get deleted is if your iPad was jailbroken (hacked).

The built in Apps can't be deleted, but they can be moved to an unused screen. You could create a folder of all unused Apps and move it.

IPod touch 4G deleted settings app and most of my music HELP please

I have an iPod touch 4G 64GB running on ios 5. Last night I slid the bar to unlock the screen and the slider stayed locked to the right and the iPod had locked up. I left it and went to bed. This morning it opened OK but my settings app has disappeared. I have looked for it in spotlight search and it doesn't come up and being on my device. Other weird things happened also. All my apps had been organised into folders and all my folders have gone and i now have 10 screens of apps. Also most of my music has gone from the music player. When I go to browse my music around 90% of it is showing grey in the song list and can't be played. Around 10% shows black and plays on the device. This iPod is around 1 year old (christmas present from a year ago) and has never been jailbroken. Can someone please help because i know that it is impossible to delete any of the default apps but the settings app has gone from the device entirely.

OK I have solved the problem I had so wanted to post it up here in case anyone else ever has the same problem. Actually I haven't solved the problem.....the problem was that my iPod removed all of my apps from their folders....the consequence was that i had more than 176 apps which is the most that will fit on the 11 pages apple allow us to have on the device.....so I started putting them back into folders....I would get them down to 3-4 pages then do a reset (holding home and off button etc)....then when the device restarted more apps appeared and my settings was one of them.....I figure that is why it wouldn't show up in spotlight search either....it wasn't that it was hidden rather there wasn't room for it on the device. Hope this helps others.......and APPLE.....please find out why my iPod removed all my apps frim their folders in the first place.

I have accidentally deleted the proloquotogo app with all it's data. It was on my iCloud backup list so can I know restore all the settings for this app from a previous iCloud backup? I now only have the basic pages instead of all the programmed pages.

Essentially it would mean another Internet connection yes, however it's your local network that I am wondering about and whether it could be the problem.

While Deleting any Web App i dont see Loading or In Process of Deleting

Hi,
I am facing a very strange issue, while deleting a Web App I don't see any progress bar or any loading that show that deleting is in process.
Has anyone faced this same or do I need to some settings which it shows me a progress bar.
In the below image I already have clicked on the Delete button but no update shown in title bar or anywhere.

Thanks for the reply Sairam.
But I believe they should have disabled the Delete button after anyone clicks on it because there is no reaction while clicking on it & if any new admin will click they will not get any idea if any job is triggered in the background &
they will hit twice or thrice till the job is completed or until they will receive any error saying that no such sites exist :)
Lets hope this post reaches to Microsoft team for any update they should plan or to the new Administrators as a knowledge. :)

I have had this problem for a while so whoever helps me i will be so happppy with them! When i go to re download a video that i purchased or an app or to take a video or picture a box pops up saying that i don't have available storage. I checked my settings under icloud and usuage and i deleted most of apps so i barely have any, and i only have 63 photos. 531 songs.. Even after i deleted everything i didnt need, the box still popped up. I powered off my phone completely and turn it on again, didnt work. When i tried backing it up in icloud, it said it wouldnt back up because i had no available storage still. I read on the internet to purchase more storage so i bought 20$ worth of gigs. I STILL have the storage problem and im so mad and confused! I deleted everythingg! What is my problem?? I am on software 7.0.4 if that helps. I also tried restoring my phone on itunes and that didnt work. HELP ME PLEASE IM GOING CRAZY! I bought my phone at 32g

It's set in Settings/General/Restrictions. You will need the Restrictions passcode to access the setting. Presumably someone placed the restriction on your phone. You need to talk to whomever set the restriction if it wasn't you.

I figured out the solution to the problem. First I de-authorized her ipad in my itunes account and in Settings : Mails-Contacts -Calendars, I deleted Yahoo as her default mail account. It was that simple afterall and I didn't need to reset anything.

I haven't tried it for a couple of weeks, but with iOS 7 after hiding an app on my computer's iTunes I was needing to log out of my account on my device by tapping on my id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logging back in for it to then become hidden in the Purchased tab
