I deleted the App Store from my iMac

I deleted the App Store from my iMac OS X 10.5.8. Can't upload it and can't find my original CD

I did have it. It must have come w one of the updates. "The Mac App Store comes bundled with Mac OS X v10.6.6"
You have 10.5.8 (according to your first post) and 10.5.8 does not include iCloud.
If you don't have 10.5.8 why are you saying that you do?

  • If I purchase iWorks from the app store from my iMac can I also install it on my MacPro?

    Hello All,
I am new to Apple computers after being a PC user for over 20 years.  With iTunes I can purchase apps and use them on all my devices - Ipad, Itouch, and iPhone.  My question is whether the same holds true for apps purchased for the iMac desktops and Apple laptops?  The answer will be the deciding factor on whether I buy iWorks from a retailer or purchase it from the App store.
    Thanks for the help.
    Roberta

Yes, so long as you use the same Apple ID to do it. Just go to the purcahsed tab and click Install.

  • HT1977 I did this and a bar showed up at the bottom and now I cant click on the apps and cant transfer them. Please help because I have accidently deleted the App store from my i pad 1. I am not very technoligically advanced so please respond in a noncomp

I synced my ipad to my itunes store on my computer and a bar showed up on the bottom of the screen showing how many gigabytes i was using. Now i cant click on the screen to move the app from itunes to my ipad for some reason, or my movies/ music for that matter either. The real reason i am doing this is because i accidently erased the app store and dont want to erase all the apps i already have on their. So if someone can help me get the app store or fix the syncing problem that would be great because i use it for school which requires certain app be installed. Please respond quickly!

    What are you talking about?

  • Hi! I accidentally deleted my app store from the phone....how to retrieve it back...pls help me...just using the iphone

    Hi everyone
I am a new user of iphone 4...i've accidentally deleted the app store from the iphone...pls tell me how to retrieve it back...pls help...tq

To restore the missing App Store Icon, or other original Apple Icons on the iPhone, go to Settings / General / Reset (Don't worry, you will be presented with a number of options concerning resetting before anything happens. The iPhone will NOT reset just by selecting this option).
Choose "Reset Home Screen Layout". This will restore the App Store Icon as well as other Apple Icons you may have removed or placed into folders.
Please note. This also removes any folders you have set up and rearranges all of the apps you have, so it takes awhile to put everything back where it was.
Unfortunately, I did not capture the placement of my Icons, so I had to recreate from memory...not that big a deal. If you elect to follow this procedure, make a note of where all of your icons are placed and then proceed.
I followed links that talked about restoring through iTunes...never could make anything like that work. This is a quick and simple fix.

  • I've somehow managed to delete the App Store icon from my iPad. How do I re install it?

I've somehow managed to delete the App Store icon from my iPad. How do I re install it?

    Try a reset:
    1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) for about 10 seconds
    2. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)

  • I seem to have deleted iTunes and the App Store from my iPad mini, how do I get them back?

I've deleted the App Store and iTunes from my iPad mini, how do I get them back?

If you can't find them on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find them via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then are they hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps and iTunes being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find them after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • My daughter some how deleted the app store icon off my phone and I can't seem to get it bk what do I do please

Hi my daughter managed some how to delete the app store icon from my home screen and I cannot seem to be able to find it can anyone help

The App Store app cannot be deleted (it also can't be downloaded and isn't part of any backup, so ignore the other comment) so either she moved it to another home screen, dropped it into a folder, or turn off "Installing Apps" in the General/Restrictions settings.
If you check Restrictions and Installing Apps is turned on and you can't find the App Store app otherwise, you can go to the General/Reset area and reset the Home Screen Layout. That should get it back.
    Regards.

If you don't have it then you will have to reinstall Lion:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite
OS X Yosemite- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it isthree times faster than wireless.
Then you can download and install Yosemite if your computer meets the system requirements:
    Upgrading to Yosemite
You can upgrade to Yosemite from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Yosemite can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
    Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
        OS X Mavericks/Yosemite - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Yosemite
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
         Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.

I made a purchase of an album on iTunes...somehow I deleted the whole album from my iMac and now when I go back to my purchases it does not give me the option to download the whole album again, instead it gives me the option of plaing them...please help!!

Where are you looking to download them from ? You might be able to redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes. If that album shows there but doesn't have the cloud symbol against it for redownloading then that implies that it's still in your iTunes library

  • Can I redownload the App Store from Macbook Pro

If I delete my App Store from my Macbook Pro will I be able to download it again in the future?

    In addition to above;
Settings>General>Reset - Reset Home Screen Layout
will restore if there is no restriction set.

I have accidently deleted the App store icon off my home page, how do I get it back do I nave to re download??

Swipe through your screens and swipe to the left of your Home screen. Type in App Store in the search field. It's a permanent pre installed Apple app so it can't be deleted.
If you can't locate it on the iPad for some reason, connect the device to your computer. Right or control click the iPad under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click: Restore from backup

  • "Unknown Error" in the App Store on my iMac.

I get an "Unknown Error" when trying to purchase an app in the App Store on my iMac.  I do not get this error in iTunes on the same Mac and using the same username/password or in the App Store on my iPad.  Very frustrating.  I've read some other threads and tried to delete the networkinterface.plist thing, but that didn't work either.

Google Earth is made by Google and they choose not to distribute their app that way. The App Store is convenient but by no means compulsory for developers.
EBay is a website, not an App.

  • Deleted the App Store, did the update combo v1.1; still no App Store

So, a long time ago I deleted the App Store. I don't know why, I just did. I'm still running Snow Leopard, but I need the App Store to install Lion.
I looked around to try and find a solution. I did the 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 because everyone said that it would reinstall the App Store. It didn't.
Anything else I can do? Thank you!

Have you looked in your applications folder since you downloaded the Combo update?
That is where it should be.   I also keep a copy in the dock, taken from the applications folder.

while changing pass word on my iphone for the app store i deleted the app store icon. now what do i do?

it's not possible to delete build in apps from ios devices
unless one somehow alter the firmware in a jailbraking way
so 1 out of 3 things are likely
1 you put it in some folder and it's still hiding there
2 you remove it by adding it to restrictions in settings->general->restrictions
3 something is rotten in the stake of the Ios firmware memorymap and doing a reboot of the ios device will solve it
