Welcome to the forum!
You'll need to obtain a set of recovery disks to be able to re-create the hidden partition.

If you are asking if you can restore the last backup of your old phone to your new one, the answer is yes as long as it is still available (iCloud backups are deleted after 180 days).   Your new phone will need to be running the same or higher version of iOS as your old one in order to restore the backup.  If it isn't, you'll need to update it first.  This explains how to restore an iCloud backup: iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud.  When you go through the process, you will be shown a list of available backups and asked which one you want to restore from.

  • How to make the RESCUE AND RECOVERY hidden partition when changing the hard disk drive

I've got T61 and I'd like to know if is it possible (in case of changing the HDD) to make the RESCUE AND RECOVERY hidden partition  on the new hard disk drive? If yes - please let me know how to do that.

hi you the rescue partition is made automatically when you use your recovery cd's on the new HDD so no problem there!
    Cheers and regards,

  • Rescue and Recovery Hidden Partition

Hi all! I hold a TC A50 and there's issue with it regarding the RnR hidden partition!
The Hidden Partition is now not hidden in Windows even I selected to hide such drive in BIOS before building the partition by Recovery CDs.
I called PC HelpCentre previously and see if it is the problem with my set of CDs (I used this set of CDs several times before this issue appears). And they refused to send me another set. Anyway, I just want to know if some ppl that has insight into how Hidden Partition Works can help in turning my machine really back to the Original Factory Stage! Thanks!

  • I deleted the photos via Finder and empty trash long time ago. The thing is, that I want to recover one event or album.  The event appears in the iphoto but when open, it shows "!". Is it possible to recover the photos?

I deleted the photos via Finder and empty trash long time ago. The thing is, that I want to recover one event or album.  The event appears in the iphoto but when open, it shows "!". Is it possible to recover the photos?

No.  When you removed the photos via the finder you damage the library.  Photos should always be removed from the library using iPhoto, never with the Finder.
If you have a Time Machine backup of the library from before you deleted the photos you can restore the library to the Desktop and export that album from it to import into your current library.
It's been too long to be able to try one of the file recovery applications.  You sure to have overwritten those files with new files since them.

  • X61: Can I delete the recovery partition?

Can I delete the recovery partition on my x61? Now that I have Windows 7 installed I have no need for it and would like to use the 5gb. I have found instructions to use diskpart to delete the partition. Do I need to do anything else to ensure my machine boots into the C: partition?

Yes you can. I did it with Acronis Disk Director yesterday. All worked fine. You can also use other programs like gparted. Greets Ensonn

  • My daughter has a new ipod touch and when synced it had all of my iphone contacts. she deleted the ones she didn't want and they were removed from my phone as well. How can I get them back if they were deleted from the cloud? I also had them on my pc

My daughter bought a new ipod touch and when synced received the contacts from my iphone. She deleted the ones she didn't want on her ipod and now they are gone from my iphone. I have the cloud and i thought back up on itunes. I have tried to re-sync and no luck. How can I get my contacts back?

Your problem is that she used your icloud ID to connect to icloud and thus had all your data synced to her device.  Contacts are not saved in a backup to icloud, since they are stored independently in the Contacts section of icloud.  If someone deletes them, they are gone.  If you had them on the PC would they be available in some backup you frequently make of the PC?

  • New to the Apple and I want to set up a user account that will not delete the guest users files and allow and preserve their personal settings after log out. Is this possible?

New to the Apple and I want to set up a user account that will not delete the guest users files and allow and preserve their personal settings after log out. Is this possible?

The built-in guest user account will not do this. Simply create a new standard account and call it "Guest" or "Guest Users" or whatever you like.
Go to System Preferences > Users& Groups, click "+" to make a new account.

  • I want to upgrade my old airport express to the new express. Can I just switch out the old for the new or must I delete the old network first and start from scratch with the new express?

I want to upgrade my old airport express to the new express. Can I just switch out the old for the new or must I delete the old network first and start from scratch with the new express?

It is not necessary to delete your old wireless networks first, but doing so may eliminate confusion. If you wish to do that, open System Preferences > Network, and select Wi-Fi from the left column. Click the Advanced... button, then select your old wireless networks and delete them with the "–" (minus) button. Make sure the "Remember networks this computer has joined" remains checked.
    OK then Apply.
This prevents your Mac from searching for your previous network which will no longer exist.
A new Express creates an open wireless network that you must select before you can configure it. It appears in your Wi-Fi menu like this:
Select it. AirPort Utility will load and walk you through its configuration.
Edit: If you are really using OS X 10.5.1 as shown in your profile, the above screenshot is not applicable. Instead, select the network called "Apple network nnnnnn" and then launch AirPort Utility.

  • I purchased (and have now deleted Aperture from my computer and want to use only iPhoto.  How do I delete Aperture albums but keep the pics in iPhoto?

I purchased (and have now deleted) Aperture from my computer and want to use only iPhoto.  (Aperture was simply too much program for me.)  How do I delete Aperture albums but keep the pics in iPhoto?  Please accept my apologies in advance if this is a dumber than dumb question.  I simply want all vestiges of Aperture to go away with losing all my albums.  Any help would be appreciated!

Aperture added  a second view to your library.
You now have an additional section in your Source list , called events. But this section lists exactly the same events that you are seeing in the "Events" view. Don't delete anything from there, or you will delete your photos. But you can press the "Hide" button to collaps that section. But someday you may want to use this list. It makes it very easy to move photos between events.
