I desperately need a wizz kid to help me with my apple ID situation!

I've been trying to purchase an app but it shows my old Apple ID whenever I go to put my password in, and even my old password doesn't work either. I'm stuck and need a wizz kid please!! I've already got my old ID registered and new password etc so why is it still showing the old one when I got to buy an app!!? Frustrated. Hope someone can help me/it's urgent!

If this is on an iOS device and you created a new Apple ID for some reason, go here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID
Sign out and then sign back in with your new ID. Note that you will need to continue to use your old Apple ID to update any apps you purchased through that account.

When we set his ipad up it linked my phone to both of his devices.All of my contacts have went to him and if he deletes one it deletes off of my phone. This is happening because you're syncing all devices with iCloud and you're using the same Apple ID for iCloud on all the devices. You need either use a different iCloud account on your phone to keep your contacts separate, or stop syncing your contacts with iCloud (not recommended since syncing contacts prevents loss).
On your phone:
Settings > iCloud > (scroll down) > Delete Accout > Keep contacts on phone > set up new iCloud account with different Apple ID
or to stop syncing:
Settings > iCloud > Contacts > OFF

HELP, Black with white Apple

Hi there,
I just bought my 30gb video ipod yesterday (have an old 3rd generation 20gb one ... needed a new one)and plugged it into the pc today.
I dowloaded this ephed2 (sorry for the spelling, can´t remember it) programme an dowloaded the songs from my old ipod in order to upload it to the new one.
After I plugged in my new one nothing happened. Then I pressed "eject" and ever since my ipod is doing this:
Black screen showing a black Apple (no light)
Switches on back light
Black screen with white Apple
Klick
and it does this over and over again. In fact it has been doing it for the last 20 mins.
Please, can anybody help me?
I am in Japan at the moment, so there is no chance for me to call any hotline
and I will be leaving this office in a week so I want to fix that problem ASAP.

Try Resetting your iPod. Hold down the MENU and SELECT (centre) buttons for five or ten seconds until you see the Apple logo appear then the menu button to go to the normal display.

How can I get a representative to help me with my Apple ID when I live in China (where I don't speak or read the language) and I created it in Canada (where I used to live)?

I explained to Kavitha from the iTunes Store Customer Support the following information:
- my home country is Canada
- I am an English speaker
- I currently live in China, but I don't read or speak Chinese
- my Apple ID was created in Canada
- my husband bought me a new iPad last Sunday in China where we live
- I couldn't remember the answers to my security questions, so I followed Apple instructions to reset it by adding a rescue email address to my Apple ID
- I have received no email message in the inbox for my rescue email address as promised to help me reset my security questions for my Apple account
- I updated the email address for the Apple ID (the login) and, for some reason, my old Apple ID is still showing up on my new iPad when I try to sign in
- you told me to select the website of the country that I live in (which is China - I've already explained this) and therefore directed me to a Chinese website which I CANNOT read
- I was NOT asking Kavitha about how to change the language on my new iPad and she sent me an article about resolving that type of issue in error
- I can't choose Canada as my country because I don't live there ANYMORE and I don't have a Canadian phone number anymore
- I have a Chinese phone number because I LIVE in China

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

You don't get it. It is installed when you install iTunes.
And iTunes does not recogize ATV's It just provides the home sharing service. The ATV's are what see iTunes, or not.

Help desperately needed RE: tables. Anyone help! (CS3)

I have recently inherited an indesign document at work which I have to edit. I have added a link to a screen grab of the document.

As you can see each page of this document is made up with tables...the page you see is currently the last page (I have removed the copy from the table)
What I need to do is add more peoples details and photos into the document on various pages (so everyone will shift down 1 row each time....My problem is that I have no idea how they made the table so that it has the 2 different sized rows (there is a small row to seperate each photo- how is that created?. Also I cannot figure out how to shift all the peoples details down one so that I can fit in a new person. I cannot seem to extend the table so that it continues onto the new pages.
How should I go about doing this - Ive asked 2 contacts who 'know' indesign and they have no clue.

He guys. Just recieved my 2405fpw on this forums suggestion and WOW I love it. All is going well but for one thing. How are you guys getting audio from the component connection?
I am using this as a dual tv and monitor. I purchased some logitech mm50 for my ipod and planned to use them as auxillary speakers for the 2405 but ran into a small hitch, they just have line in audio. They don't have the component connections. Nor do my old speaker set-up
Is there a way to convert the component signal to line in? . . . how are you guys using your 2405 as a tv?
I looked in the manual which says exactly ZERO about the monitor, just warranty stuff, so I am kinda lost here.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

Help me with Refurbished Apple TV

I live in India and my friend is about to get me a Refurbished Apple TV. I have a few questions regarding the product and I'd really appreciate if anyone here can help me out with them.
1. Is it safe to buy Refurbished Apple TV? Will I be facing any problems in the future?
2. I want to buy Apple TV so that I can wirelessly stream movies from my MacBook to my HDTV. For instance, if I am playing a movie in VLC player on my Mac sitting on a couch, will Apple TV be able to stream it flawlessly on my HDTV and that too wirelessly?
3. Since my HDTV is connected to a Home Theater system, if I play a song/video on my iPad or iPhone, will the Apple TV pick it up and play the song?
4. Does Apple TV come with an international warranty? If anything happens, can it be fixed in India under international warranty?
5. What other feautures can I use while using the Apple TV in India?
So you've already seen why I need Apple TV for. So that I can play games, listen to songs, watch videos on iOS devices right on my HDTV and Home theater system. Also so that I can watch movies wirelessly playing on my MacBook. So is it a good investment, putting 75$ (refurbished) or 99$ for Apple TV?
Note: I do have a very good internet connection(more than 4MBPS).

Help / suggestions with multiple apple id's

I would like to give a scenario and hopefully get some advice / help / suggestions on how best to approach this:
We are an Academy in the UK with over 700 students on roll ranging from 14 to 18 years old. Each student has an iPad mini. Not all students have their own Apple ID. The Academy is very diverse and we have many students coming and going throughout the year as well as new intake of students each year. iPads can change hands a number of times.
Bearing in mind that one can only activate an ID only 3 times per device, and that an Apple ID can only have 10 devices associated with it, what is the recommendation in terms of getting students up and running with a device and Apple ID?
Here's my reason for asking: We have a number of iPad Minis which can no longer be used because the limit of 3 ID's have been used on those devices. As mentioned, a lot of our students do not already have an Apple ID and so will create one when they are given their iPad. This only has to happen three times and we effectively have a very expensive coffee coaster!

They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Help, please with navigating Apple Discussions

Having installed iOS 8.1 on my iPhone 5c, iPad 3 and iPad 4, it's bad enough that the text size and color on this support site has become so small (tiny, really) and so faint (would like to get my hands on whoever thought light grey was a good idea), now I'm constantly frustrated when attempting to search for a subject, return to a subject category after reading a thread, etc. For instance, I want to look at problems with Safari. So I choose ipad>using iPad>Safari (chose Safari from the subject headings that one can scroll through at the top of the list of topics)>read a post. But when I try to return to the list of Safari-related threads by choosing the Back button, instead it goes back to the combined subject list and have to scroll across to the Safari subject category again, which again starts from the beginning of the list of topics, not to where I left off gong down the list. I tried the other possibilities (return to Using IPad, etc.), no joy. Am I missing something here? I just want to search for a subject, read applicable threads, and when done with a thread return to the previous page at the spot on that page where I left off.
I have been using these discussions long enough to remember when the postings were organized logically and after reading a thread, hitting the Back button returned to the exact spot I'd been linking from to get there. It seems like each "upgrade" to the site has made it less and less logical functionally. Simultaneous to those changes has been the inability of Safari to return to ANY previously accessed webpage at the spot where I left off reading, instead going back to the top of said webpage instead.
IF someone can show me the error in my thought process here I would be only too happy to be proven wrong.

Demo, All the clearing and resetting isn't fixing the problem. Out of curiosity, after reading your post, I checked out the issue on my MacBook Pro, and Safari has the same problem of not returning to the previous page under the selected catagory Safari, for instance, from which I had clicked the link to read the particular thread. I see another poster is having the same problem. Can't imagine why it's working for you.
I just now also tested the problem with the Mercury browser, and had the same problem! So it appears it may not be a Safari problem but rather an Apple web design problem. Looks like it's time for an email to Apple Feedback, though frankly, I don't hold out much hope for help from that avenue as Apple of late seems intent on marching to the beat of their own drums rather than listening to their customers.
As to how the site as a whole is designed, bottom line, it's Apple's responsibility to test and give their stamp of approval before anything is implemented, so while they may have subbed out their website design, the buck stops on Apple's desk for any problems.
I spent my early-adult years (many years ago) as an executive secretary, and I can say that if you can set up and use efficiently a filing system for piles of paperwork you develop an inherent understanding of how data bases and Search functions should work. There's just no logic to this website any more! I can only guess that the designers never had to do any "real" hands-on filing.
Re keeping multiple tabs open, I find that leaving more than three or four running at a time slows Safari way down, so I tend to limit open tabs. But it's an interesting idea for following Apple discussions if you spend a lot of time here. I'm not using this site as much as I used to as it's become just so annoying to use on so many levels.

You can only download content from your own country - in order to buy/download content from another country you need a valid billing address in that country and be in that country when buying/downloading from it. If the apps that you want aren't in your country's store then it's because the developer's haven't made them available to Apple to sell there.

Help me with my apple tv/homesharing please!

Hey guys! Last week I went out and bought my apple tv and I hooked it up to my macbook pro. It was working great I did the home sharing and everything. Well this week I had the guys from charter come and check my internet since It was messing up and they changed the router box. Ever since then my mabook will not sync to my apple tv at all. the airplay botton is not available and although I have home sharing turned on its still saying that its not connected. Could someone please help me fix this??

Thanks again for your support. I tried both the "unexpected disconnects" and the "manually assign IP". When manuallky assigning my IP address my screens were not quite the same as your screen shots but it was near enough to be able to follow.
Sure enough two minutes after getting connected the movie I was watching stopped, a solid black screen appeared with the words "To access your iTunes library on Apple TV, turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer using "..........." this field contained my iTunes User name".
When I go to my computer >iTunes>File>Home Sharing the message displayed says "Turn off home sharing". It therefore thinks it is connected to Apple TV. On the Apple TV a notice says it is connected to my Wifi network.
I appreciate your assistance, however, I think it time for a visit to my reseller and cash back.
