Connect the iPad to a charger, let it charge for half an hour, then try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.
If that does not work, start iTunes on your computer, connect the USB end of the cable, then press and hold the power button on the iPad and connect the other end of the cable. Hold the power button for three seconds, and while continuing to hold it, press and hold the home button. Continue to hold both buttons for ten seconds and then release the power button but continue to hold the home button for another twenty seconds.
When you release the home button, iTunes should now see the iPad and allow you to restore it.

Type in 'Facebook'.
You should see your Facebook app.
Unless you held down an app icon until it 'wiggles', then hit the black 'x' to delete it, you didn't delete the app. -

How can I get tv on demands working on my iPad as wanted to watch my program but it says HTML5 not supported on this, so any ideas that can help?
HTML5 is supported on the iPad but I assume that the site that you are going to doesn't yet support it. Does the site have it's own app - here in the UK the TV channels have their own apps, plus there are apps such as TVCatchup.

I had my iPad charging on power not the computer and went to use it and it just died. Now I can't restart it. Any suggestions as to how I can get it turned on again.
I would try the reset a few mor times.

I did the "home sharing" to get all of my music from my PC to my new mac (as told by a apple worker). Then I copied all of my music and playlists from the shared library to my actually itunes library. Now I don't know how to sync my iPhone up to this computer..? I've tried and it'll say it's syncing but the new song i bought to test it out won't show up on my phone.
When you buy your new iMac you will be able to have the installation process transfer all your applications, data (including music, pictures, documents, etc) and settings to your new computer. In the past that was done via Firewire. I'm not entirely sure of the process with the new iMacs that don't have firewire. I think it can be done via ethernet and probably via tha thunderbolt cord using a firewire adapter but you'll want to check that out.
With the your new computer properly connected to your old computer, the initial booting of the new computer will include the ability to move everything over.
If for some reason you don't want to do that (smart if you have some horrible software issue that is causing problems) you can connect your old computer to the new one and start it in Target Disk mode where it will be seen as a hard drive. You can then manually copy over all your music and import that into iTunes (and any other data you want).
Somebody here will surely point you to directions for connecting an older iMac with no Thunderbolt to a newer iMac with no Firewire. -
I have set up an administrator account and loaded microsoft office mac 2011. i have now added three kids accounts but can't seem to enable them to access the office mac software...... help please.
Where did you install Office?
If you installed it to the Applications folder in the admin account that ie reason why only you can access it.
If you want everyone to be able to access it then you should install it in the Applications folder at root level.

How can I set up my contacts so that I do not see all of them on ipad from iCloud? I don't need/want to view contact info for casual contacts on the ipad. (I.e. contacts entered so that I can identify a caller for ID/screening purposes)
Also would like to limit email contacts from yahoo- no need to view emails for every "safe list" address.

if you can get the contacts onto your computer you can sync htem to your iPad.
The tedious but works way can be to mail them to yourself from your phone, then open that mail on your iPad and save it from there. -

You can't delete individual photos currently I'm afraid (except from a single device), you can delete all of them or none of them.
To delete all of them, reset Photo Stream, (iCloud.com > account (click on your name in the top right corner) > advanced) and then turn off Photo Stream syncing on each device and turn it back on again (settings (system preferences) > iCloud). -

When you restore from back up, the process will restore the OS and some initial data, it will then restart and allow you to use your device while the remaining data is downloaded and restored in the background. have you allowed enough time for this to complete.
