I did the latest software update and added iCloud and lost all my contacts on my phone. How to I recover all of my contacts?
after updating the software and configuring iCloud onto my phone and PC I notice ALL off my contacts were no longer on my phone. How do I retreive my contacts? Thank you!!

Is there anyway to fix this problem? Im seriously considering getting away from apple as bad as I hate too. I love the apple OS but you can never get a hold of customer service, there is only one style of phone, and now apparently, you have to pay extra for "apple" accessories becasue others wont work.
Well I am having the same issue and I had not had to worry about getting a "licensed charger." The poster who responded offered not real insite and was rude to boot. I am also looking for the fix on this . My iphone will not even charge now on any charger. What the heck. I am not trying to treaten anyone either when I say I am frustrated with my iphone which in my case I have only had for a few months. Did the latest software update, now my audio books are messed up
After I did the latest software update, my audio books don't transfer right. Not al parts will be there, and what does show up arent in the correct order. These audiobooks are downloaded from my public library.

At the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for many models. If they include your model, then please use those as reference as you proceed. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the official download portal for OS packages for your model:

From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:

Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try this procedure to perhaps narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

I had my phone plugged in to my iTunes yesterday and downloaded the new software. I then went to install the new software and it crashed half way through with an error message. Then it went off completely and wiped everything. I tried to restore from back up and now it says it has restored from yesterdays back up, restarts afterwards and says it needs to restore from back up again. and just goes round and round doing that. Even if i try an earlier back up. I also tried wiping everything back to factory settings and restoring from back up and that did the same as above. Please help!!
Something in your backup may be corrupt. Try wiping it and setting it up as a new device, then sync your apps, data and media back to it from iTunes. DO NOT resotre from your backup. If the problem is contained in the backup, it will bring it right back again if you restore.

I updated via my laptop and always kept the latest version on there.
I may delete my iTunes and then re-install just to make sure it is the most up to date version but I am 99% sure it is.
The update for my phone has worked...it is running off the iOS6.0.1 but just without all my old data (as I didnt back it to iCloud but iTunes instead).
Also, as of about 10 minutes ago my iTunes isn't functioning properly.
Will see if re-installing iTunes helps or not, seems like my files are gone for good though.
I am getting the iPhone 5 next week, hence my last minute rush to update all software...seems to have backfired somewhat! -
My IPOD touch 4th gen screen does not display. The software seems to be working and itunes recognizes the device. I have restored it and reset the IPOD several times but the screen is still black. What can I do to fix it? your help is very much appreciated. I do not have access to an apple store since I am stationed in Afghanistan.
If you restored to factory defaults/new iPod (you did not say the type of restore your performed) and are still having the problem that indicates a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order..

After I did the latest software update my phone wont hold a charge
I updated my phone yesterday. It was fully charged when I finished. When I looked at it for the first time a couple of hrs later it was dead. Completely charged it again and looked at it for the first time this morning and it was dead again. Ihave had no problems with battery life b4 the update. Any ideas what happened?

Go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the setup screens on your phone again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.

If they are synced to iCloud and appear on icloud.com, they will reappear on your phone when you sign back into your account. As a precaution, you could use an app like My Contacts Backup to back them up before you restore if you wish. I would also recommend as a precaution that you import your camera roll photos and videos to your computer before restoring, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
