I didn't ask for 'Timeline' on fb, but 'subscribed' to s/e for first time & that may have triggered it! don't want it! HELP!
I subscribed to someone because my friends quota had been reached, not realizing that it might trigger me into Timeline. They say that public will be able to see my timeline on August 13!!! I DON'T WANT IT, don't want to look at it myself or have it represent me! How can i stop this!!! There is no REDRESS!!! other than exiting the entire thing...
Everyone is going to have their Facebook profile changed to the Timeline view in the near future.
Although you might be able to use an add-on to reformat how ''you'' see the page, that won't affect how others see your profile.
Rather than search for "hacks" that are unlikely to help, you should think about hiding any activity you don't want shown in your Timeline. Check your general privacy settings, and also scroll through your timeline and hide whatever you want hidden. If you are an active user, this could take a while...

I was having lots of problems with my firefox and the upgrades never worked on my mac, so I uninstalled. Now whenever I try to reinstall it through the homepage (and the more page that lists versions by language and OS--I am using Safari to download), the download "finishes" but there is absolutely NO file anywhere on my computer that represents a downloaded file. Where did you purchase this. The US phones do not come with the SIM removal tool anymore. They haven't for some time now. I'm not even sure it comes with any of the devices anymore. You can just straighten out a paper clip and do the same thing.

The iBooks dictionary works fine for my iPhone 5, but it does not work for my iPad 2. Is this fixable?
I went to the Audio store to see about getting a surround sound and the salesperson asked me why I wasn't using AirPlay, he said it was better than the Bluetooth, better quality. So I do have AirPlay on my Sony and I installed the app on my iPhone 5 but they can't find eachother.......when I try looking for my iPhone on my receiver it does not show it. The Sony display works through my TV, the set up screen is there but it says no devices found. Like I said, the Bluetooth finds the iPhone and works ok, but the AirPlay does not.....looking at the manuel it says that the AirPlay will recognize my device (iPhone 5) but it does not..........

I just applied for an Account but they did not request my ISBN. I may have made an error in completing the information. How can I correct it?
Did you just apply for an account or did you try to upload a book? If you are simply setting up an account, they won't ask you for an ISBN number. They will, however, ask for your tax ID number. After your account is activated, then any time you upload a new book, you will need to supply an ISBN number. Since each book has a unique ISBN, they don't need those numbers to initially set up your account. I hope that helps.

today for my first time, when i run a video and i want to pause it, i touch the screen where the video is playing to reach the pause botton that is located on a bar under the video which appears when i touch the screen. Today every time i touch the screen nothing happens and i cannt pause the video nor adjusting its quality.
So plese help me fixing this problem as soon as posible.

A bit more info:
-tried using YouTube in Safari on another ipad. Worked fine.
Tried reboot (sleep + home buttons for 15 seconds). Didn't fix.
-tried logging out of my YouTube account, thinking the problem was tied to my settings. Didn't fix.
-tried uninstalling all apps I downloaded since the last time YouTube worked properly. Didn't fix.
-tried watching a video in desktop mode. Can tap video screen to bring up pause okay in that mode.
There are work arounds, but the thing I want to know is why YouTube doesn't work in Safari as of a couple of days ago, and is it indicative of another more serious problem with my ipad. -
I install at the new update cc2014 but for some reason in my computer appear double app the old one and the new but the new dose not gave the setup that I have in my old version! What happen ?
Seriously, I doubt that your answer helped Erik. He has two issues.
He installed the new program and has a double icon folders with software. One for the new & one for the old. (I have this same problem.)
He must have attempted to open one of the products and no longer see his personal settings transferred over. (The install will ask to have those settings migrating, but you have to accept it. eh, I could be wrong; but, that what i remembered doing.

However, i can not get any of my products to work. Ie. have to constantly click on icon to open; once open i get a unexpected error and have to close. I'm on a mac pro w/ latest os system.
In addition, I have tried to uninstall the older by clicking on the application's manager icon.; Unfortunately, it shuts down at each attempt. Therefore, I am unable to un-install the old product or the new.
Possibly, we were hoping that the new product would be simply updated if an old recent was already installed.
Instead, the installation simply created a new icon and the new folder with product. -

Back after a brief absence, things look a little bit different.
I'm trying to take a 16 minute mini dv video and compress it for use on the web. I'm interested in any suggestions you may have on settings for the video and audio tracks. I've tried using Sorenson 3 (15 frames, key frames set to automatic, 320 x 240) for video and IMA 4:1 (mono) for audio. The resulting video looked great but the file size came in at about 255 Mb.

I have been unplugging my motu audio interface and then using headphones at work. I have not changed any detailed audio output settings in logic. When I read that the jack might be a problem I tried switching headphones. This actually helped. I am using dre-beats headphones and they seem to be having issues with the mac/jack-(the phasing/panning problems. I can use these headphones with other devices but not the mac. I have to use ipod ear buds and the phasing seems fixed. Hopefully this information is helpful to someone else.
If anyone knows how to correct this issue please let me know its difficult to know what my final mixes are going to sound like and I have had to keep bouncing everything into i-tunes- sync to ipod and then listen in my car radio. -
I changed my Apple ID to my new email address successfully for the iTunes and App store but it won't work for iCloud and it won't recognize my password. I read that this can't be done. How am I supposed to get into iCloud? I plan on getting rid of my old email address which is my old Apple ID so how is that going to work?

I changed my Apple ID to my new email and now cannot find any way to access icloud. Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. I gave my old MacBook Pro away and no longer have access to it. I didn't think to deauthorize it first. I DO NOT want it to have access to all music in my iCloud or any music that may have been downloaded sinceI gave away the computer. It now belongs to my teenage daughter,who has since been in my WI-FI area and knows that code. I had EVERYTHING removed from the computer before I gave it to her (long story), but since I hadn't deauthorized the Mac,I'm assuming even without the itunes password the iCloud material would had loaded onto her computer.My iCloud had somehow included personal voice mails under Unknown Artist that I did not want on there or shared. How can I deauthorize the Mac Laptop without having the machine available to do it on? Change the iTunes/iCloud password? I should now have my desktop computer, new PC (Aspire) laptop,Ipod Touch, and if possible my Evo 3D as well as my boyfriend's Samsung smartphone being able to access the iCloud account/library--whatever it is called. Thanks, I appreciate the help. I think this is one of the problems Apple is creating by changing the OS so often. I had fomer colleagues at [a major aerospace contractor] who told me that so many original files were ultimately lost because of the deadly change in the "Save As" operation that they are now afraid of every OS update. Apple has badly damaged their support base with that very prominent company (they won't update now until they've fully examined and understand changes in the pre-conditioned nature of OS computer functions), and they are a whole lot less enthaled with Mac-related equipment/software. Can't blame them, I too used orginal files that way (as easy-to-use templates), and lost some important files before I realized what was happening (to late to revert). Companies should not have to retrain employees each time an OS gets an update, it's can be very expensive several different ways. They learned a painful lesson with that one. And because I'm now retired and don't use multiple devices, I need iCloud like I need a hole in the head... but I'm told there's no way to keep Apple out of my computer. Fortunately, because of major problems when initially installing Mountain Lion, one hold-over of the hardware/software damage I experienced was that iCloud can no longer access my computer even though everything else is working fine again. That was the only "good luck" I had as a result of that expensive nightmare.

I just bought a new Mac and migrated my CS6 over. Now when I open it, I'm told I'm running a trial version of Cloud. Why can't I use my CS6 version that I purchased? I don't want to pay for something I've already bought.

Thanks Kurt! I had tried all that and had tried closing both programmes from the application monitor, but SyncServices Agent refused to close. I tried closing Launchd which is their mother application, but that just caused the screen go go blank. In the end the two programmes let themselves be closed next time I tried the installation process so all was well. Thanks for your help!
