I didn't buy aperture but it's already installed on my mac but wont open
I wanted to find out the price of aperture in the mac app store but instead of seeing the price under the app as usual i saw "installed". Funny thing is I am most certain i have never bought aperture and it doesn't come up on under the list of my purchases. Decided to check my applications folder and it was there but when i tried to open it says it cant open aperture and I need to check with the developer to see if it works with my current mac os version. What does this mean?
I did buy Aperture V3 last year. Yesterday I upgraded from OS 10.5.8 to 10.6.6 and now I get the same message. I tried reinstalling but that did not help. I can not get Aperture to open and desperately need to get some images out for a client. Does anyone have any ideas?

This maybe a dumb question but...If I buy Aperture are the updates already installed into the purchased version or do I need to update them after the prograam is installed?
Should come updated from the Mac App Store. Obviously, it's tough to keep things up to date when they are sitting in a box on a store shelf.

It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This changed with Snow Leopard. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip. -
I have an early 2008 Mac Pro and want to install a 3TB internal hard drive. Is this compatible? The manual indicates 1 TB per bay, but I have already installed two 2 TB hard drives in two other bays, and have had no problems. Any suggestions?

SATA 3 is rated at 6G bits/sec, which theoretically is about 750 Mega Bytes/sec
SATA 2 is rated at 3G bits/sec, which is theoretically about 375 Mega Bytes/sec
SATA 1 is rated at 1.5G bits/sec, which is theoretically about 187.5 Meg Bytes/sec
None of the SATA Busses is a bottleneck for consumer Rotating drives you can buy today. Trying to speed up the SATA Bus will not provide any real-world performance increases for Rotating Drives.

Calls, messages, photos, apps, and voicemail was all there as if it never happened If you leave it unregistered you don't have to pay for it works for either windows or mac. Hope this helps!

How have you managed to get apps on your phone that are tied to a different and unknown AppleID?
If these apps were not purchased by you, having them is effectively software piracy and you should purchase them using your own AppleID if you want to keep hem. -
I have downloaded an app on my phone. My husband tried to download the same app on his phone but he used the same apple id as me and it said the app was already installed on another phone and wont install even using a new apple id on his phone. HOw do we get this app onto his phone?
You got the new iphone????? I have same problem. I transferred audiobooks to device to find no audiobooks on device (despite it being in iTunes as if it was). Have you found a solution????? I even tried to change import settings on format transfer but hasn't worked.

Does it make sense to buy an iPod touch 5th gen. 64 gb with iOS 7 and upgrade it to iOS 8, or spend a few bucks more and buy one with iOS 8 already installed?
The iOS update us free so I would get the less expensive one.

if you downloaded driver updates through bootcamp onto flash drive then once windows is installed, open the flash drive in windows. You'll see an application called Setup. Double click on it and it will install all the drivers for wireless and ethernet and usb.
You cant just tell windows to search for driver updates. These EXPERTS aren't telling you this. -
Apple Software update says install icloud 4.01, but it is already installed
Dell XPS 8300 (i7, 16 GM ram, 1.5TB HD) running windows 7 fully updated,
Latest version of all software installed with all updates.
icloud 4.01 is already installed and functions, yet apple software update continues to show the update still required.
Reinstall and ASU still shows update required.
Reinstall & reboot, same result.
Uninstall, reinstall & reboot, same result.

I need to install Word for Mac on my MacBook OS X Lion 10.7.4, but there are two problems: 1) Microsoft sells only Office, not the individual programs, and 2) I don't have enough memory to do so (2 GB). Any suggesions? I'm currently using Pages, and it's worthless. Should I install more memory and buy Office for Mac? Is there another decent word processing program (preferably downloadable) that will convert my documents to Word?

RAM is cheap these days and the additional RAM would also improve the performance of your other programs as well. I have used MS Office for Mac as well as other free downloads, i.e., Open Office and Libre Office. I have found that Open Office anf Libre Office perform just as well as MS Office and, because they are a free download also save you money. Another advantage is that they also contain a database, which MS Office doesn't have. They allow you to save files in MS format as well as standard text format. I ave also used Pages and feel it is satisfactory, although a little clunky to use. If you feel MS Office is the only program for you, then buy it and install it. You really should consider adding the additional RAM as it will improve the performance of all your applications.

It may be that the Lion installer has been downloaded to your Mac but it hasn't yet been run. Look for it in the Dock or in the Applications folder. If you see it there, launch it to install Lion.
