I didn't get all the songs from my pre order

I pre-ordered daft punk's new album a few days ago, and today I got an email confirming it was now available for download. When I visited iTunes on my mac, it only showed 3 things in my recently purchased, I ordered all the songs in the album. I got Beyond, Contact, and the iTunes EP. Nothing else. I am hesitant to press the buy now button, because I don't want to be charged again. Can someone please tell me what is wrong?

Found a fix, I went to "my account" and typed in my password, and hidden along the top of the screen is a message "8 items to be downloaded" then I clicked download now, and all better. Apple, please give these kinds of instructions in the email!

I used to have this problem.
First, you need to go back on iTunes
you need to go to each of the songs that are having this problem
Click the album so all the songs drop down
Right click the songs that have this problem
Click ' Get info '
Click the tab that says " info '
The box that says ' album artist ' should probably be empty (correct me if I'm wrong)
Click it and type the artist of the entire album, NOT the songs guest artist
as such,
ARTIST
JAY-Z Feat. Justin Timberlake
ALBUM ARTIST
JAY-Z
These should be separate for each artist
If you write the same album artists for each song by that artist, all the songs should be on 1 album

Didn't get all the songs?

I downloaded a cd from the Itunes store but I didnt get all the songs from the CD, I checked and they were suppose to be included, I cant figure out how to get them without rebuying. Anyone know what to do?

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
Certainly you did not reinstall your OS without making sure your backup copy was current.

Purchased albums, didn't get all the songs.

To preface, I get all my music off iTunes. The only music that is NOT purchased from iTunes are a handful of mixtapes, that are free anyways.
I noticed that Eminem's album Recovery (Deluxe Edition) is lacking the songs "Cold Wind Blows", "25 to Life", and "Cinderella Man" are not in my iTunes library, on my iPhone, or in the Purchased folder on iTunes.
I've tried the Complete my Album feature, it didn't show Recovery.
I tried the album page on iTunes, and the price is still 14.99.
Now, obviously I would prefer NOT buying the album for just 3 songs. So if there is any other option, I'd like to now.

First: Store>Check for Available Downloads
If this does not find it then report the issue. Itunes should resolve in a day.

Bought a whole CD, but didn't get all the songs

I bought the Chuck Berry Box set to get one song, paid $29.99, and it didn't download that song for me. The song, Chuck's Beat, was the only song on the CD that said "Album Only".

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and run that. You may find the missing track there to be downloaded.
If not, contact the iTunes Store using the form linked from the bottom of the Download FAQ web page and explain the problem to them.

Didn't get all the songs i paid for

ok so i was in the middle of downloading my songs when my battery randomly died on me (another problem) but anyways when i went to check purchases, it didnt let me get the songs. i followed the instructions up to "Click the Report a problem link", but then after i do that nothing happens and i cant select "i didnt recieve this item"
what should i do?

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form linked from the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.

I downloaded an album and only got 10 of the 12 songs. Does anyone know if there is a way i can get the last 2 songs without paying for them seperately??
When they were downloading i got an error message for 2 of the songs, and now don't have them. It's very annoying.

First thing to do is go to the Store menu > Check for Purchases option.
Let us know if that brings you any combination of joy and/or satisfaction.

2006 iMac running 10.4 OS. I copied files to ext. drive. Put in 10.6 disc and did a clean install (format) of 10.6. Copied data from ext. drive back to Mac. I didn't get all the files. CAN I REVERT BACK TO THE 10.4 OS SO I CAN COPY MY DATA PROPERLY?

How did you copy files to the external drive, and what files did you copy? Did you drag and drop in the Finder? Use a clone utility? What files did not successfully copy?
If you reformatted the drive as part of your install, then you won't be able to recover any files from the drive. Reverting back to (reinstalling) 10.4 will not help you.
Do you have a complete-drive backup of your old system?

I just found the answer by myself. Instead of clicking Cloud icon one by one, highlight all the songs in Cloud (after sorting by Cloud status) and riight click, download. Now I am getting all the songs back to my local machine. I will sync my iOS devices tomorrow and just GET RID OF iTUNES MATCH. To me, it was a disaster. Worse than their map app.

I don't see your screenshot but I assume you're starting with something like this, i.e., the compilation split into multiple albums:
If you select all the items that you want to be in a single album, right-click > Get Info you'll see this:
As you say, in iTunes 12 you don't see a field to enter a distinct Album Artist value. You can, however, address this by clicking the Add Field button and selecting Album Artist:
That makes the field available in the metadata dialog so that you can enter the required value:
You can also show the pre-iTunes 12 version of the dialog by holding the SHIFT key when selecting Get Info - this allows you to enter the Album Artist directly:
