I didn't know!! PLEASE HELP!!

I live overseas in Korea because my dad is in the military. On my 13th birthday I bought and iPod nano after I saw it in the PX (our army and air force store that sells things just like Wal-Mart) I went home and uploaded my songs after reading the directions and I noticed some tiny scratches....no big deal rite? I know you all are about fed up with scratch stories but listen....I dont have a case becuase I didnt know how fragile it was and plus they dont sell them here. I havent seen an ipod nano commercial either....Now i have noticed more scratches and I know they didnt just jump on there....Once, I was trying to wipe of a fingerprint because I wanted my fist big investment to stay new and perfect....you know the rest.....SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH...within the 1st week, I was fed up, i've only put it in my pocket twice and I am reaall mad...I CAN STILL see the stuff on my screen but this one scratch in particlar blocks things....I meant this is my 1st big investment....Should apple be able to do something about this? I mean, I do live overseas with the military and I had no way of knowing about the scratch problems...Please give me your input and what should I do besides buying a case (i will try my best) and what type of case

Do a search on www.google.com on Nano cases, see what you can find. Make sure whatever case you decide to purchase that it gives you easy access to the click wheel, Hold bar, USB port, headphone jack and it offers screen protection.
For my Nano, I purchased the hardest case I could find, it gives me access to everything plus it has it's own screen so my Nano screen does not get scratched.

If you were told they would refund the price for the iCloud storage - Contact AppleCare and ask to speak with a senior advisor. Have the case number for the promised refund available.
If you are trying to update your device, but you don't have sufficient space to download and install the update, you need to delete content from your device. Buying storage in iCloud does not add space to the device which is what you need.
You can always update using a computer with iTunes installed - this method is faster, and will allow you to make a backup on the local computer (Local backups restore faster than iCloud backups).

I am trying to migrate data from a WE8ISO8895I characterset database to an UTF8 characterset database. I noticed that many pp are having this issue thru' some other postings by other pp in this forum but I realised that so far no one has been able to give us an answer. I tried exp/imp function but the fields which contains doublebytes characters all becomes ??????....
I am now trying SQL loader to import the data which was exported into a flat file delimited by '%' but as my tables containing the doublebyte characters has a field of long datatype which was not the last field in the table to be defined, I am unable to use the PIERCE command in the control file. So, in the control file, I indicated that the datatype for the long field to be varchar with 2048000kb as well as 4048000kb. This doesn't work either and I was prompted by the system to use TRAILING NULLCOLS. But all my fields have data.
Is there a cleaner and simpler way of transfering the data?

If the person is trying to send you DRM video, that won't open on the Mac unless you have a virtualization solution. Also chances are it won't be legal for you to open it on another computer than their own, unless they are willing to transfer the license to you for that video.
If they are sending you a newer type of video than WMP can handle, try Flip4Mac. And if Flip4Mac doesn't work you'll probably need to install Windows on your Mac to play it. Ask them the source they are sending you.

I understand that after you installed Firefox, it forked one time and it will no longer works. I do not understand what you mean when you say it was forked. Generally a reinstall is helpful here if Firefox will not start correctly, however be sure to make a back up [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]]

When starting up - I suddenly receive the message that it can't use
AudioIPCDriver.kext
and that it has to be re-installed.
Anyone - Seen this before and know's what to do and what it is ?

Installed Logic 8 but soundtrack didn't install, please help!

many moths ago i installed soundtrack pro ONLY from the logic 8. it was deleted from my Mac somehow and now that I tried installing everything, it let me install all except Soundtrack Pro, it doesn't say anything...the only thing i notice is that the soundtrack pro is Greyed Out.
Is there any way i can get soundtrack pro to install?
what can i do?

Use Pacifist to install it manually, or move the receipts relating to it out of the /Library/Receipts/ folder and try the Installer again.

Updating or upgrading depends on what version of OS X you are running. A G5 Mac can not go further than Leopard 10.5.8 as all later versions of OS X require an Intel preocessor.

I Don't know what you did in order to restore your network. I'm not sure what that means exactly. But take a look at this, if your WiFi settings are greyed out.

Cannot install windows, starting to get really pissed off with this PLEASE HELP

ok, i'm starting to get agitated with this.
i cannot install windows XP, 2003, OR Longhorn on my machine.
right now, i have the following setup:
msi 865pe neo2 motherboard
intel p4 3.2ghz w/HT (factory HS/Fan currently)
1 dimm of PC3200 crucial DDR400
30GB maxtor HD plugged into primary IDE
pioneer dvd/cd drive as sencondary IDE
alps 3.5" floppy drive
antec true blue 480wt PSU
i do the following:
format with maxtor cd
boot from OS cd
start setup, reboot, continue
the farthest i can get is 'registering components/completing installation' i either get a blue screen stop error which isnt the same everytime, or it just locks up and doesnt do anything.
ran the memtest checker and get errors on test #4
i had a DIMM of kingston that gave the same errors, so i RMA'd it and got another. same errors, so i RMA'd again and got a Crucial stick. same errors.
so i RMA'd the motherboard since i figured it had to be that. and it improved from the problems i had earlier. (the problems i had before were worse before.)

thanks for the info about ram timings as well. i havnt gotten any solid answers about what to set it to.
even with new mobo and ram, i'm getting errors in memtest86 #4 test as i always have. i've tried different slots with same problems.
i only have one module because i dont want to waste anymore money on a non-working system. once i get it up and running i'll add another 512.

Please Help!!! Two problems... 1) Bought a new PC, wanted to transfer music from old PC to new PC. Wasn't sure how to do it, so I copied library onto a memory stick (just by copying and pasting) and downloaded to new PC. Had to do it in sections b/c it all wouldn't fit on one transfer. (Try to stop laughing, I know that probably wasn't the correct way to do it) : ) Anyway, I authorized the new computer, and was able to listen to anything I purchased from ITunes on the old computer, but not any of the music I downloaded from CD's. It gives me an error that says can't locate file, blah blah. Where should I go from here? Start from the beginning? Go back and try to redo each song that did not come over correctly? I'm an idiot, I know, please help.
Problem #2 - I just downloaded new version on new computer and the majority of all songs now have the exclamation point next to them and when I try to listen, it says can't locate file. : / Please say this is not a lost cause!!!

as in last night I installed a legit none pirate software from Adobe which was after effects and my system before was good it has "6.7-7.2" which that was the normal amount of ram it usually allocated and now I'm having this "5.9-6.5" now
I have used every anti-malware that is out there and Anti-Rootkits & online scanners nothing found so all I think of then that it's something else but I don't know please help me!!
