Thank you for the reply, but I guess I should have filed the issue under another heading, having to do with "Licensing" rather than "Lightroom" (although this is the program that I have purchased).

I purchased CS6 on Amazon and didn't receive a serial number?
So as the title states, I purchased my version of CS6 on Amazon (I realize now I should have gone directly to Adobe) and I could not find a serial number anywhere. It wasn't on the envelope that the cd came in, it wasn't on the back of the box. I emailed Amazon with my concern and they told me to contact the manufacturer, which is Adobe, and I'm not really sure what my best option is. Should I call the number and speak to someone? Or is it still something I need to be resolving with Amazon?
I don't know if it makes a difference, but the edition I purchased was Creative Suite 6 Design Standard. I know some people were having trouble with getting serial numbers for their student editions but I don't think I should be having this same issue, right?I can tell you thisnot all CS6 applications are Retina optimized. This
includes InDesign. To get get a retina version of InDesign you'll have to
move to Creative Cloud.
Creative Cloud includes all CS6 versions as well as the new CC versions of
all applications and will continue to receive upgrades, updates and new
features. CS6 as you have purchased it is pretty much a dead end. -

Presuming CS6 purchased (as perpetual licence), you should ask Adobe (or the independent seller) for it.

Acrobat X Pro has a flawed serial number application form at the point where it asks for your State, the first time. I will not allow me
to complete the form and receive my Serial Number.@I purchased it from my University bookstore and the attending clerk was no better informed than was I.
The form is required to be infilled in order to receive the serial number necessary for installation of the software
After five hours of trying, I was able to overcome the flaw in the form, as it appeared on the Acrobat website, and
complete the two pull-down menus indicating the State in which I live.
I called Adobe Customer Care for assistance and had to wait two hours for a return call, and by the time the
call came though I had found that the website form allowed me to pull-down for the State of location.
Adobe is an uncaring vendor, once it has your money in hand. -

Item was received without serial number by mistake.

Purchasing department for one of my
clients added a product managed by serial numbers instead of by batches
in error. Product was received incorrectly, and no serial number was
entered. Now they cannot create a transaction to get this product off
the inventory (credit memo).it is asking for the S# but the item was receive without
serial number.\
I dont know how they were able to enter the AP invoice without entering a serial number, but looks like they did and now they cannot take it out from the inventory.

JennyIs the item managed by serial numbers "On release" or on "Every Transaction". If it is on release only, it would not need a serial number to be received, just issued.
If this is the case, it can be issued with a dummy number to get it out of stock, then the correction can be made & it can be brough back in correctly. -

Hi! I had purchased Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 Full - English - Multiple Platforms - Download. Had received a serial number to activate my license. I am nott able to update this to the latest version. Tried entering the license key which I had received for LR5. does not work with LR6
Your serial number is for version 5 and not for Lightroom 6. If will install LR 6 you have to buy a update and the you get a new serial number.
