Hi guys
I've got a clip with some code that I've got linked to an xml
file. I've changed a couple of links in the fla and the xml but the
swf is still looking for the original variable name. I've checked
all over the code but to no avail...
I KNOW this is going to be a really stupid "kick yourself in
the groin" question too...

Yes I supposed I asked for that...I was extremely vague and
not giving any symptoms at all! (sorry kglad)
The real crux of the issue is this...I've plagiarised a piece
of code in order to learn the workings behind it (it's how I learn
best!). This does, however, lead to serious limitations when I only
half know what I'm doing! (I've come a hell of a long way from when
I first started a few months back though!)
I changed the name of an attribute in the xml file AND the
fla from 'titel' to 'title' to see if it would work. It originally
did. I then went too far, messed the whole thing up then deleted
the code and pasted the old code back in and started to amend that
again.
Since then, no matter what changes I make to both the xml and
the fla, it only recognises the original code!
Is there any way to view all the actions in an fla file IN
FLASH? I've looked at the fla in notepad and the original code is
still there along with the new stuff after it.
I was just wondering if the same thing had happened to anyone
else before (or if anyone had heard of it happening!)
I'd post the file up here but I don't know how!

Boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password.

You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application.

I can't log in at all now as I've forgotten my admin password. A few weeks ago I also changed the password on my husband's new MacBook Pro and again forgot the password. I spoke to someone at Apple and they helped me to reset it within minutes, by restarting the computer holding Command+something else (I can't remember what it was). A black screen with writing came up and I had to type in something like "password" (not sure exactly). Anyway, this was a very quick and efficient process but I didn't write it down unfortunately. I just installed the Lion operating system, basically to upgrade my iPhone. I didn't realize that my Microsoft Office 2004 application would no longer work. I have been using Word for my writing and I receive most of my emails with Word attachments. I have been using Apple products for years, always touting their reliability and customer service. I am not a techie, I just want to be able to do what I do on the computer and Apple always fulfilled my needs. Now I am told because of some operating system gobbledygook, I have to go out and purchase new software to use Word. This is despicable. I see no particular benefit to using Lion, but I do see a lot of detriments. Apple now seems to have turned into Microsoft, making software obsolete so they can make more money and to **** with the customer. You can be sure that my next computer will be a PC. I have completely lost confidence in Apple.

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.

Is there any possibility to retrieve them?
If it was possible that would be great as I would save them immediately to my computer instead of losing them again.

If they are Tunes purchased music you have to sing into the account that purchased them.
Is this the iTunes library/computer you sync with? You can rally only "sync" with one iTunes library/computer.However, yo can manually manage music and videos among different libraries/computer. See the manual method of:

Tried to upgrade to osx 10.9 from 10.7 and I didn't notice that it downloads in the launcher. I turned my mac off and ever since then it has glitched out and will not download no matter what I do. I have had it for 3 years which is out of warranty.

I use too play starcraft and other games on this computer although new patched/updates have made it that I can no longer do that now. Really frustrating having to deal with this especially after buying this computer upfront and now out of warranty.

Go to your Applications folder and find a file called "Install OS X Mavericks". Send it to the trash and delete it. Then try the download again.

Apple cannot help you locate the original owner. If you have no way to contact him/her, and you purchased directly from the seller rather than through a site that offers buyer protection, then the iPad is useless to you and you have wasted your money. The iPad is quite probably stolen and you should turn it in to the police.
This is why it's very risky and usually unwise to purchase out of a car boot from someone you don't know.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:

mende1 is right, however, you have a chance of recovering your files.
Open a new Finder window.
Press COMMAND+G
Type the following in the box: /Library/Application Support/Quicken
Remember, I don't use Quicken, so that folder may not exist.
If you really need it though, you could downgrade back to Lion (or whatever you were on before).
Sorry for the trouble you are having.
