I disabled my search bar by accident and want to re-enable it.

The history option is the little clock icon at the bottom of the Bookmarks menu - the icon in the center between the open book and the eye glasses icons. You don't have that? Try closing Safari and see if the history option comes back

I use Windows, but assuming Mac is the same, it's called the Bookmarks Toolbar, and you can add bookmarks to it by clicking the bookmarks star twice, then selecting Bookmarks Toolbar with the small arrow(s) to the right of 'Unsorted Bookmarks.' When I select one of the advertised links in a google search, the tab flashes and looks likes it's loading but nothing happens. If I copy/paste the link into the address bar it works OK. It also works correctly using IE.
