I disabled Sync history with IE , yet every time i look at my history in Firefox it shows all the IE places i visited , how do i stop this , so i can go to only my Firefox history , but still have IE and Firefox synced

I use Firefox and Google Chrome for forums because they are faster than IE as IE(7) tends to hang a lot , so i have all my Favorites and everything synced with Firefox , as this is my main browser , but i do still use IE7 for some browsing , u went to Settings and unchecked the History , in the Sync section , but when i go to Firefox to view a forum topic i was looking at , recently , if i had gone to IE and visited any sites , then they show up in my history (for example Craigslist , i will look at several adds , and ALL of them are in my Firefox History) and push my Firefox history off the list so i have to go back to my favorites and start over , instead of being able to use my Firefox ONLY history so i can just go to those pages
Is there anyway to fix/bypass this but still have Cookies and Favorites and such synced ?? , without the IE History knocking all my Firefox history off the list ??
It's just annoying to have to go back from the beginning and search the topic i was in on a forum, because it was bumped off the list by any browsing i did in IE7, in between time

I also have "Check Places" and it does not bring all the Favorites i have added in my IE Favorites over , the ones i did when i first installed it transferred , but any additional ones i have added to IE will not transfer , is there something wrong with Check Places ?? does it only transfer your Favorites 1 time , and not check for additions to the list then add them accordingly ???

Only when i go to a different browser (like IE) after i clear it , then all that shows up is the pages i visited in IE , that is what bugs me , why is IE browsing history sowing up in Firefox ??
Basically , i can clear the history in Firefox , and then for a example , go to Craigslist , using IE7 (launching it from a complete different Icon , in other words at that time i never open Firefox) , then after closing out , or even leaving open as it does not seem to matter , i go into Firefox , and hit History , and there is every place i visited in IE7 , on my History in Firefox

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

The most common causes are:
Your antivirus, firewall or router security is blocking access to Apple's servers - try temporarily disabling them - if you have Kaspersky this is definitely the problem
At some time in the past you used this computer to jailbreak, unlock or otherwise hack ANY iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad - if this applies to you your hosts file is corrupt and you will have to edit it and remove any lines that contain "gs.apple.com"

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

Can I archive years worth of emails but still have them accessible?

I copy the Mail folder from my user library back & forth between my home machine & work machine every day. There are several accounts, and most are POP, so I'd lose Sent emails if I didn't do this. My Mail folder is now over 1.6 GB representing 10 years of email. I feel pretty stupid copying it all twice a day. I'd like to archive most of it. but still have it searchable & accessible. Is there an app for this?

Remember that you can just put your Macbook to sleep by closing the lid. Unless you're not going to use it for a few days this makes more sense than shutting it down. I sleep my MBP overnight and it uses about 3% of battery power. I only shut it down if I install updates.

Can not install the latest firefox. It tells me that its running so i can not install it. Mean while it's closed. I have check everything that i can to make sure it is closed but still have the same issue.

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Your phone is setup from default with iMessage turned on. Your friends phone obviously isn't. I have a friend that has an iPhone 3G[S] with an old phone plan that didn't require a data package and he's just been swapping the sim card for 5 years. When he's at home, his phone is on wifi and it sends over iMessage. When he's at work on 3G the phone defaults back to text message because he doesn't have a data plan to send iMessage over. The phone isn't actually sending 2 messages. You send in iMessage and if the other phone is off of iMessage, it will resend to that phone as a green text message. That person never got the blue iMessage you tried to send because their iMessage wasn't working.

How can I airplay video to Apple TV but still have the audio come out of my MacBook speakers?

We have a projector with Apple TV connected but facility for Audio at this time. When we airplay a video the sound is obviously not there as it's streaming it to the Apple TV. Blackberry had a setting for Phone ringer Only sounds.

You could turn off mail and message sounds when you go to bed, then turn them back on in the morning.

I would like to upgrade my operating system, but still have Leopard and don't know how to make the "leap" to newer software.

I have a makbook pro, running with Leopard (10.5.8). I know that I missed both Lion and Snow Leopard and want to know the best way to upgrade. Do I need to buy both in addition to Mountain Lion?
