The text editor is the text area that you use on the webmail (Yahoo, Hotmail) website to create a new mail.
You can compare that with the ''Post new message'' text area that you use to create a new post on this forum.
Just above the text area that you use to enter the message text there is usually a button bar with buttons that allows some text formatting like Bold and Italic and can also include a button to make a clickable hyperlink.
Check the tooltip of each button by hovering with the mouse over each button.

My customer has created a dynamic hyperlink using {VM_URL} but when the template saves if you mouse over the hyperlink, you see a reference to the current location example:

I have found a couple of issues in WebIV, one was a position loop problem and another was an absolute xpath issue, but this does not seem to fit either. I played a little with the link and url setting, but no luck.
Tried in 5.6.3 and Word 2k2
Any help would be appreciated.

RH7- Insert action does not display window to select the file.

I have a nightmare situation with RH7 with no clue to resolve. What are my options to fix this
I am having trouble with robohelp, selecting insert action does not display the pop up window. This prevents functions such as inserting images & files, importing files and creating hyperlinks to documents created in word, frame maker.
when I perform this action, the pop up window appears virtually but is not visible to make the selection and RH freezes.
I have to end the process or press esc to find some work around - so far none available
Please help.

Welcome to the community.
Have you recently gone from a dual monitor setup to a single monitor? When this happens, RH can sometimes keep tossing dialog boxes over where it thinks the second monitor is. I typically use a program called ForceWindowVisible (get it here) to push wandering dialogs back into view. Give that a try and see if it works. Hope this helps,

Insert key does not work in Windows 7. I use this as a toggle to insert / overwrite and since going to Windows 7 SVP1 it does not function. I do an enormous amount of editing and need this function! Using universal keyboard.

INSERT key does not toggle INSERT/REPLACE mode

The INSERT key does not toggle between Insert and Replace mode. The enterabled items are always in insert mode. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I'm using Forms 6i 6.0.8.17.1, web-deployed on Solaris 2.6 (64 bit).

You can use a pluggable Java Component to do this and there is an example in the Forms 9i demos.

The iOS version 4.2 downloaded and installed successfully on my phone...only to state at the end that "Your SIM does not seem to be supported. Please insert a supported SIM....". It gives me no option on the phone other than making an Emergency call. I can't even restart or reboot the phone, or access springboard, etc. The black screen displays a USB cable plugged in to the iTunes logo. I recently bought an iPhone 3G and accidently cleared all the contents and settings, now when i put my fully legal activated sim in it says "The SIM inserted in the iPhone does not seem to be supported...", how can I activate the phone? I tried registering the phone on apple.register.com but don't have the packaging so i don't have all the numbers.

What is confusing about this? Your phone is carrier locked to a carrier other than the one you're trying to use.
ONLY the carrier it is locked to can unlock it. Either establish service with, and get a SIM card from the carrier it is locked to, or conact the carrier it's locked to to inquire about unlocking.

Try removing your sim and insert it again and make sure that its clean as well as the sim tray. insert it seucrely locked in place. See if it works, quick fix. If not try to use a different sim or try your sim to a different h/s. For you to be able to isolate if its with your sim or iPhone. Tricky Tips!

Insert statement does not insert all records from a partitioned table

I need to insert records in to a table from a partitioned table.I set up a job and to my surprise i found that the insert statement is not inserting all the records on the partitioned table.
for example when i am using select statement on to a partitioned table
it gives me 400 records but when i insert it gives me only 100 records.
can anyone help in this matter.

EPMSaveComment after EPM Insert Member does not work?

I have situation in report where I use EPM Insert Member and also EPMSaveComment.
After new members are inserted, existing comments are blanked and Save data after that update exsisting comments with blank values
Detail steps:
Open Excel and log on to BPC-NW Environment / model
Create a report selecting a dimension ACCOUNT on the row axis and TIME dimension on the column axis.
Choose Remove Empty and Zero Values for Rows
Add two local Members on the both following columns as follows:
column x: add local Member 1 and leave formula blank
column y: add Local Member 2 and enter an 'EPMSAVECOMMENT' formula which references the column in 'LocalMember1'
Insert Member and enter some values and also comment.
Save and Refresh data.
Insert Member
The comment will disappear from the LocalMember1 (column x).
Questions:
Is it possible to have Insert Member and EPMSave Comment in same Report?
Fact (documentation EPM Add-in 32.28): EPMSaveComment function is executed (only) when you Refresh the worksheet.
But Insert Member function does not Refresh the report in such way that comments with EPMSaveComment function are displayed? They are blanked instead.
If report is refreshed before Save Data then inserted members are deleted because they dont have values
If data is entered for inserted members than with Save Data also previous comments are changed (with blank), because they are different in input screen that those saved before?
If columns for comments are only added in Excel, so that they do not belong to Report, then comments do not dissapear from "blank" column….
… and function EPMSaveComment in second column still save comments
But in that case after Insert Member function outside Report is not available automatically in inserted row
Also if EPMCopyRange is used instead of LocalMembers the situation - dissapearing existing comments when inserting member - is the same
There is similiar situation with Expand and Insert Member functionality explained in Note 1936111 where SAP states that Refresh is needed?

If only values are changed and Save Data without Refresh,

If I use columns out of the report than as mentioned, if new members are inserted at the end there is no formula for comment...

Insert SQL does not work properly when called using CALL

I have a stored procedure (TEST_SP) which is used to insert a record in this perticular case. The SQL statement is 2526 characters long. I'm using

The same stored procedure and the same SQL when run as below

Table of Contents retains hyperlinks but Table of Figures/Tables does not

I am beyond frustrated with this strange problem. I am converting a thesis from word to PDF, and I need to retain all bookmarks and hyperlinks in my Table of Contents, Table of Figures, and Table of Tables.
When I convert over (with all accesibility options selected, as well as bookmarking options), I am able to get my bookmarks to convert over AND hyperlinks for the table of contents.
However, no matter what I do, the hyperlinks in the Table of Figures/tables will not move over. What is different about those? What can I do to get them to link? It is a very long document, so doing the hyperlinks by hand would be incredibly tedious.
Any advice/help?

You will need to script the Word object. Look in the repository for examples of using Word from PowerShell.

Hyperlink in PDF to relative file does not work

I am creating PDFs from Java and the PDF contains a link to a relative file which is distributed along with the PDF. When the link is clicked, the file is opened with the OS default program (written by us). At least that is how it is supposed to work.
How should links to relative files be formatted?

Thanks for the reply Daterson! This could be a nice new feature for Adobe Reader, but our reports are cross format, so this solution should work in HTML as much as it does in PDF.
I think this problem stems from the fact that launching a different application from a hyperlink in PDF is neither secure, nor cross platform. Therefore, I think the support for such an action doesn't exist in PDF, but also in other formats, which we would also like to support.
If anyone comes across a clever idea or technique for this problem, I would love to hear it!
