I do not see Preferences in ICloud Mail

I'm trying to set up an email alias in ICloud and I don't see "Preferences"
tab as the instructions said I would.. can someone help me with this?

Unfortunately, you cannot add aliases on your iOS device, you would have to open www.icloud.com via a browser on a Mac or Mac, then Mail, Preferences ...

Not able to active iCloud mail on mac

I am not able to enable iCloud mail on Mac running Mac OS X lion 10.7.2.
When I ticks Emails and Notes in the iCloud setting on my Mac. It says starting for a very long time and then it seem to end okay. But next time I enter the settings again the check mark has dissappeared.
Yesterday I managed to create a me.com email address - when I the first time tried to enable iCloud email.
The new me.com address works fines on the web part of iCloud but not on my Mac and not on my iPhone. Yes iCloud mail is turned on the iPhone.
I can see in the system log that Mac os i trying to enable mail and then disables it again.

I got the coversion email from my me.com account but I cant set up mail on my mac.. it says Valid Apple Id but not valid Icloud account...
I can go to my mobil me /move and get to icloud that way...and do mail ect.... so what gives.. It right on my phone and some what right on the desktop... but still no sync..

When I open my mail account I keep getting the message "Checking for Mail". I deleted the yahoo account and set it up again and I am still getting the same issue plus I am not seeing any of my mail or folders. Can anyone help?

This is how I fixed it on my new iPhone 5S. Using the standard yahoo setting on my phone.
You will have to access "managing your app passwords" on your account profile for yahoo. Generate password for your app. For example: "My iPhone 5S'
Go to your Iphone and set up your yahoo mail account on your phone the normal way and you have to use the generated password. instead of the yahoo account password.

When I reply e-mial , receiver can not see his orginal e-mail in my reply ... but he can find it as attachment.... it was wroking properly before , I tihnk this matter happened after I chose rebuild in Mailbox monew bar...

I have noticed that the e-mail which i have received from gmail to my yahoo a/c in yahoo a/c i can't see the photos in middle of the text of e-mail.First i thought that there is some problem in Firefox 5 but when i forwarded that e-mail from yahoo to gmail a/c is was able to see the photos.But my problem is not solved because i use yahoo only as my main a/c for all the communications.So is the problem with the yahoo mail?Please help me out as soon as possible.One more thing is would like you to know that if i check my yahoo mail from Google chrome & Internet explorer 8 i am able to see the photos in the middle of the text, the same e-mail which i have got from gmail so where exactly the problem is? It is getting complicated for me to solve this problem.

Pdf attachments do not come through on iCloud mail but they do on other email accounts on same device

I have several email accounts set up that appear on all my devices: iMac, iPhone and iPad. I use 2 email accounts for work purposes, and good thing I use two. I receive pdf attachments in non-apple email accounts, but the same email sent to my iCloud address comes through minus the attachment and shows only "winmail.dat". I am using the same device to read the email from the different accounts, but the problem is consistent with all my apple devices. This has to be a setting in iCloud mail but I can not figure it out. Please help.

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

Why can I not see tracks on icloud on my iPhone5 running latest iOs?

Hi I have 20608 tracks on my iCloud after running an update on iTunes match on my PC. I can only see 2019 on my phone even after turning match on and off several times. Anybody know what the issue is and how to solve it?

Some songs appear to be missing from iTunes Match
Songs purchased from multiple Apple IDs
Songs containing DRM (Digital Rights Management) may not appear, or may appear grayed out in iCloud. This can occur if your computer is not authorized for playback of that content. Try authorizing your computer, then manually update iTunes Match.
To determine what Apple ID your computer needs to be authorized for, locate and select the song in your iTunes library.
Choose File > Get Info.
In the Summary tab, locate the Account Name field in the right column and write it down.
Click OK.
Choose Store > Authorize this Computer.
Type in the account name from the Summary field and its password. Click Authorize.
Choose Store > Update iTunes Match.
Check iCloud Status
Check to see the iCloud status of your songs. Choose View > View Options and enable "iCloud Status". iCloud status will help you to determine whether or not a song was purchased from the iTunes Store, matched, uploaded, or ineligible for upload. Items may not be eligible for upload if:
Your computer is not authorized for playback for that item.
The music video was not purchased from the iTunes Store or was purchased using a different Apple ID.
Notes:
If a song contains DRM and is no longer available on the iTunes Store for purchase, the song is uploaded to iCloud and made available for download in protected DRM format. You will be required to authorize your computer or device for playback.
A song will not be uploaded to iCloud if the song contains DRM, was purchased using a different Apple ID, and could not be matched.
When you subscribe to or enable iTunes Match, your iOS device or computer will be associated to the Apple ID being used for iTunes Match. Learn more about associating a device or computer to an Apple ID.

How do I change my preferences in mail to ICLOUD and not the default mail server. I do not remember my password to the default mail

I TRASHED Adobe Reader... where it belongs. Somehow, and sadly, Apple dropped the GET INFO from under the program name, where it had been before. Command I is now short hand for Command Inspector - i.e. no longer Command Info as was in previous versions of OS X.
So, under Command I, there is no selection to make Preview the Default PDF viewer. How 'bout that? Sad is what I say. I think Apple should be a little weary here, go on Offense, and have an OBVIOUS workout to make Preview, any/all of its programs, the Default program.

Not seeing IncrediMail animations in Mail

I had never heard of IncrediMail until a friend of mine asked me why she is not able to see any of the pictures or animations from a particular person that sends emails to her. All she sees is "Missing Plug-in" where the picture or animation goes. She has a late model iMac running Mountain Lion. I asked her to forward the email to me so I could see if it did the same thing on my MBP. It did.
I was able to see the individual pictures by going to the attachment bar and doing a Quick Look. They're either gif or jpg pics so I'm not sure why Mail would not display them in the message. It's displayed jpgs and gifs before, so why not now? Could it be because there is something going on in the background for each pic that enhances or animates the pics? At the bottom of the email were a couple of "Missing plug-in" that were links to websites. One took me to the IncrediMail website and I found no help there. I did find that it was a PC only email program, though. I also googled and found nothing to help other than a website that provides a converter program to convert IncrediMail emails to Mail, but that's not what I want.
Here's another thing. I logged in to my email account at my ISP's website and opened the email in Safari and the pics and animations worked perfectly. Why does it work in Safari but not Mail?
So, the questions are;
Can anyone tell me why Mail will not show pics and animations from an IncrediMail email, and if there is a plug-in that needs to be installed in order to view it?

While waiting for a reply I've been googling. I read that plug-ins can be installed in Mail 6.0 but since Apple doesn't support plug-ins you do this at your own risk.
So, to make sure I understand. My friend will not be able to view these emails within Mail because Mail does not load plug-ins for security reasons. PC people can view these emails because IncrediMail is written for PCs and Outlook, et al, use the plug-in necessary to view them.
Is that about right?

Craigslist verify emails not coming in to iCloud Mail accounts

Hello, I edited a Cragslist Posting Monday and again most recently a little while ago today. Both times it said it would email a link to me to confirm the changes and to post the modified ad, and Craigslist is saying the verify emails went out.
In both cases I did not receive the 'modify' confirmation emails in my iCloud inbox. I have Craigslist's domain whitelisted in my email application. In both cases I did check, and did not find the Craigslist messages in my spam folder (locally or on iCloud when able to log-in), which I check regularly. I was also able to receive other emails from Craigslist, including ad replies, other posting confirmations, etc. so I don't think the issue is on my end.
Please look into this issue and if iCloud is blocking or bouncing Craigslist emails.

I am having a similar issue. A few days ago, I stopped receiving emails from any address that originated from my husband's company [email protected] IT there has confirmed that the email "left" their system. I can also receive the same emails in my msn inbox without a problem, but nothing comes into my icloud inbox from that domain. I am receiving other emails without a problem. I've checked everything I can think of to check on email preferences, filters, etc and everything looks fine there. Any information regarding a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try this out... this worked like a charm:
*On a desktop PC, log into your gmail account.
*Click the gear up in the top right corner > Settings
*Click Accounts
*Under "Change Account Settings", click "Other Goole Account Settings"
*Along the left, click "Security"
*Under 2-step verification, click "Manage your application specific passwords"
*It will ask for your usual gmail account password and take you to a page that says "
Authorized Access to your Google Account
*You will see a box to type in something (I just typed in iPad) then click "Generate Password"
*It will generate a random password for you... you will need this password Once in your iPad....
Now...
*Go to your iPhone Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account>Google
*Type in your name, your usual gmail email address and for the password, type in that random one generated on your PC
It should work from there, if not follow what is below!

Inconsistent icloud mail

Has anybody been having issues with icloud no longer longer the content of e-mail messages - these are message which will load on my iphone but not only inconsistently in icloud mail?

On your Mac open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect the box next to Mail then reselect it.
On your iPhone tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Mail off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync your mail. Hopefully the contents will sync.

When using aliases in icloud mail is there a way the recipient does not see your real icloud email address? Right now when using an aliase the recipient get my real email address in the header of the message and it was sent on behalf of the the aliase.

Using an alias should conceal your actual iCloud email address, even in the headers of messages sent. You may need to verify that you are sending messages from that alias. In order to send a message from your alias, select that address in the From field when composing a message.
Send a message from a different account. Tap the From field to choose an account.
