I do not see who is calling me #bb passport

I have a Blackberry Passport but I have one problem:
why when I get calls I get only the number and not the name of the contact?

Who's your carrier?
And are these numbers people in your contacts list?

Hi,
I have the problem that when I get a call my phone will ring but there is nothing seen onto the display.
When I use the unlock button on the side of the phone it unlocks and then I can see who's calling and take the call.
When I want to hang-up, the display stays off and I can't hang up. I need to use the button on the side again to activate the display and then hang up.
The same is with the alarm buzzer, I set my phone to wake me up in the morning.
When the alarm goes, I cannot turn it of directly.
I need to unlock the phone again with the button on the side of the phone and then I can press snooze or turn off alarm.
Does anyone has experience with this or has a solution?
It is a Nokia N8 got it now for 3 weeks and has the latest software on it.

If the phone is not functioning correctly, as already suggested, it should be returned to a Nokia Care Centre for repair under warranty !

Upgraded 1phone 4 can no longer see who is calling on other line?

Upgraded Iphone 4 now can no longer see who is calling while the phone is in use. I hear the beep but see nothing, also does not show in missed call.

If you are no longer getting a notification that there is a second call coming in, contact your carrier. It sounds as if there is an issue with call waiting.

When on a phone call and an incoming call rings in the display does not show who is calling in. My phone used to that and allow me an option to answer why?

If you see only 'CALL' when you receive a phone then most probably its an Operator issue. Check with your operator whether the Caller ID sevice is active ?

Thank you so very much! My husband is in Afghanistan and calls at different times. If I am on a call and can't answer him it could be days before I hear from him again. I never thought to just restart my phone! Duh...this is my first smartphone so I am learning. All day people were calling while I was on the phone but I couldn't answer. I installed ff 9 when i want to chat on yahoo i can not see who is online

i installed ff 9 and when i want to chat on yahoo i can not see who is on the online contacts..it stays blanc !
i tried some other versions of ff..but also the same problem
now i use IE9.. and no problem...BUT..IE9 works very slow not like ff...i rather use ff !!
can anybody tell me what the problem is ?..or wich version of ff i can use without this problem ?

Cannot see who is calling

My skype is ringing but cannot see who is calling !! any idea, please...

That is definitely strange, devans. How long has it been since the call waiting prompt on the screen stopped appearing? Please try a soft reset by holding down both the power and home keys, simultaneously, until your phone resets on its own. This may help recover this feature. Another thing I would recommend is a Network Settings reset by going to: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. If the issue persists, let us know!

My phone does not know who is calling even thought that number is in contact list

Hi everyone,
I recently synced contact. The phone number style is now XXX-YYYZZZZ. What happened is when someone is calling me, the phone did not recognize who that is.
Anyone know how to fix this? I do remember the phone style in my contact used to be like (XXX) YYY-ZZZZ.
How to convert from XXX-YYYZZZZ to (XXX) YYY-ZZZZ?

If Your Display Unit Shows the Wrong Name
Please Contact your carrier by phone, Live Chat, or email in order to have a carrier agent correct the name that appears on the Caller ID display units of those calls.
Caller ID Caller ID shows the name and number of incoming calls. Caller information will appear between the first and second rings on a customer-provided display device or display telephone, giving you the opportunity to screen your calls before you answer. Caller ID will also store names, numbers, dates and times of incoming calls (storage capacity varies with your display device model).

Can't see who's calling

I have a bb curve 8330. I haven't subscribe to the caller id option, but my other phone could recognizw the name and numbers that were in my address book. Is it possible to see the name and numbers that are registred in the address book even if I haven't subscribe to the caller id option?

There could be any one of three solutions... Try these:
1. Make sure you set your own country code at Phone Dialer Screen > Options > Smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+xx" where xx = your country code. Some countries have two or three digit Country Codes. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* In the US, set this Country Code as "+1", and place your loca area code in the proper box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).
2. At the same location, change the National Number Length to the number of digits for your country (since some countries will have less than 10 as set as the default in the BB). Find out the total digits, minus the country code. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (plus 3 for country code). You would enter "8".
3. You may have "Content Protection" set on your Address Book.
Look at Options > Security > General Settings. Scroll down to Content Protection > Include Address Book = NO.

I can't see who's calling me it appears as unknown and i have already saved the contact

I have a problem, I just buy an iphone 4, i created a contacts list in my macbook in the contacts app and sync it to the iphone. But when a contact calls me it appears as unknown. What's the problem??? What can I do???

ANY contact? Or one particular contact?
If it's one particular contact, they've either blocked or withheld their number from being sent via caller ID or there is a problem with your carrier, their carrier, or the interchange between the two.
If it's any number, your account is probably not provisioned properly by your carrier. Either way, if a simple re-set as suggested by Eric above doesn't fix it, you're going to need to contact your carrier about the problem.

Nokia 6300 can't see who is calling me

hi, as above, have gone into call settings to try and change this.... nothing there
is this a software issue? i have recently got this phone with orange, i assumed that this is because people have withheld their number but this is not the case.
Can someone please help me regarding this?

When I mark a positions and add it to the favorites. Imagine that I go to the favorities forlder and I chose a oin Oxford Street, this will be the only pin that will be shown in the map... I am not finding a way to to add more pins withou taking ou the previous one...
