I do not understand the documentation, can anyone explain?
I am trying to create workbooks for an EUL version 5 in a database version 7.1.3.
According to the documentation on http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/A90881_02/rdb_supp.htm#1007051 Discoverer Administrator and Desktop 9.0.2 are supported against a 7.1 database but when I try to connect using the Desktop I get a ora-00922 error.
Metalink only has one entry from 2001, which does not offer a solution, only a suggestion to create a TAR.
When I read the sections on features that are not supported, I see that Discoverer EUL5 workbooks are not supported in oracle RDBs but I don't understand what that means. I would expect these features to be unsupported in NON-oracle databases, instead of oracle databases.
Who can either provide a solution for the 00922 message or explain to me what the documentation means?

ORA-00922: missing or invalid option
Cause: An invalid option was specified in defining a column or storage clause. The valid option in specifying a column is NOT NULL to specify that the column cannot contain any NULL values. Only constraints may follow the datatype. Specifying a maximum length on a DATE or LONG datatype also causes this error.
Action: Correct the syntax. Remove the erroneous option or length specification from the column or storage specification

when trying to sync my iphone in itunes i keep getting the error message "itunes cannot sync apps because the apps installed on the iphone could not be determined." can anyone explain what this means?
I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps. I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps. I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

I need to delete the photo album on my iphone 4, I went though all of the steps on the support page but the only place the pics were deleted were on my pc not my phone. When I selected selected alnums, it only gave the options of albums on my pc. it did not list the albums on my phone. These albums have completly used up all of my storage. Please help. That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Agonized all day and missed the sale: Can anyone explain SSD Reliability?
I cannot believe it. I thought I was going to buy a new MacBook Pro today, but I could not make the decision between a 500 GB, 7,200 RPM HDD and a 512 GB SSD.
Price - Doesn't matter
Performance - Could care less
Durability - Eh?
The one thing that I could never get a positive read on was: Are SSD drives more reliable than HDDs?
Apple's explanation on the difference between HDD and SSD on the store site is an embarrassment.
Which drive will stand the test of time better?
All I care about is my information and files (And, yes I have many backups) BUT I want the best, most reliable for my main computer.

SSD won't get you anything then, if you want the most reliable than make redundant backups so you don't lose data. Using Time Machine and a Bootable Clone is easiest way to go. -
Do I have a real problem or is this NORMAL? I've never heard anyone else complain about this unless they were using their iphone chargers
Are you using the iPad at the same time? If you are, it will charge quite slowly. The absolute best way to charge your iPad is to connect the wall charger to your iPad and when you hear the charging chirp, power your iPad down completely. It charges most effectively when it is completely off. Because the new iPad battery is twice the size of the previous battery, the charging cycle can range (depending on the level of the battery) up to 5 hours even with iPad completely powered off. I personally charge my iPad at night when I'm asleep and don't need my iPad.

I want to delete photos from camera roll on my iPhone to clear space to install ios7 but after importing photos to iPhoto on my macbook pro only 4 out of 339 photos taken in September landed in events, though all 339 are in Sept photo stream. It seems like on previous uploads all photos "fell" into events according to the day they were taken, as well as into photostream. I want to make sure these photos stick around permanently and do not exist only in photo stream where I imagine they will eventually be bumped from my computer (photostream). Can anyone explain why some of my photos are landing in events and others are appearing only in photo stream?
You have uploaded two different things - pHotos are in one and only one event - if you have the same photo in two different events then you have imported it twice

you can choose to have all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically downloaded. In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, to select Photo Stream > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will be imported into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.
The event they are imported into is MMMM YYYY PS
If you import via iTunes sync or by connecting your IOS device via USB then they are importeed into the regular event structrue as defined in your iphoto preferences - and if you imoport via two or more different methods you will ahe duplicates

Can anyone explain to me why on god's green earth....
....Apple doesn't allow me the ability to turn off automatic downloads for TV Shows/Movies? It boggles my mind. I watch a TON of TV shows. I cut the cord a year ago and I have 12 shows that I have purchased season passes for. Every single episode gets queued up on my iPhone, my iPad, and my Mac. And they start downloading right away!! I don't even get a notification, a simple pop-up ASKING me if I would like this to happen. The only notification I get is when my iPhone is about to run out of space because GIGS AND GIGS of content is being forced onto it.
Again, BAFFLED. It seems like a no-brainer. They have options in place for music and apps, why not for TV Shows?
Is this part of Apple's assumption strategy? "Well, we just figured that once you purchase a TV show, of course you're going to want it on all of your iDevices. I mean, why wouldn't you? Can anyone advise me what to do? I am very ignorant when it comes to using my my Mac and don't know how to do much of anything and not familiar with the lingo do please be patient with me! How does this happen: The picture of recent apps you get when double clicking the home button showed in Settings-Wifi that I had been connected to a network I have not been near for two months. Its not a recent "image" of Settings-Wifi. Can anyone explain?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I just tried to copy text from power point to a word document. Since then the word document is frozen an shows no reaction. Also can not restart word. Can anyone help me to unfreeze or recover the word document?
If the PDF page content is an image (for text that'd by the image that any scanner provides) then it is an image that exports to Word.
Regardless, Adobe Reader cannot export PDF page content, cannot create PDF and cannot manipulate PDF page content.
Adobe Reader is a PDF viewer only.
Perhaps you have a subscription to one of Adobe's online subscription services.
(ExportPDF, PDF Pack, etc.)
Each of the online subscription services have their own dedicated user-2-user forums.
Easy find as there here in Adobe's Forums. Hmmm, just dumping somewhere means ... Ah well, won't go there. Miss Manners would not approve eh.
