I do not want to import all mails to Apple Mail

How can I import some amount of mails to my Apple Mail?
I'd like to import mail since this year. I do not need all my old mail since 2007.

Open up /Users/username/Library/Mail/your account folder/ and then within each mailbox folder, the Messages folder. Delete any emlx files with dates earlier than 1 January 2013. Then, launch Mail and import what's left.
