I do not want to lose google maps, is there a way to keep it if I upgrade to ios6?

Hello. I have an iphone 4 and received the notification to upgrade to ios6. I understand there is a new apple maps. However I do not want to lose google maps as i rely on it for maps and finding things and I am very happy with it and do not want to take the chance on losing it if I am not happy with apple maps. Is there any way I can keep google maps if i upgrade to ios6 so that i can try out apple maps but switch back to google maps if i want to? If not then I will never upgrade to ios6 because i do not want to lose access to google maps.
Please let me know as soon as possible.

No. Updating to iOS6 will not allow you to keep the iOS5 Maps app that used Google data. You can still use maps.google.com from a browser with iOS5 and iOS6.

You should be able to download Lightroom 5.4 again, without problems, for free

Is there any possible way to speak to a person about fixing my firefox browser? It will not open and I do not want to lose the information stored there.

I do not want to lose stored information such as bookmarks and pass codes so would unstalling and reinstalling cause me to lose that information? By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you are using a new computer, your phone will see this computer as a "new" computer. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software, before you do anything else, as Apple makes no provision to do so:

Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Devices in itunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book & iCal or Outlook, Windows Address Book) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect your phone, iTunes running, DO NOT SYNC at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.

You computer is probably perfectly repairable, but if you want a new one anyway, it is perfectly possible to transfer the data from the faulty one.
But it would be a mistake to simply put the old HD in the new computer.
These are the steps:
Remove Hard drive from faulty computer. (very easy on Unibody MBPs, do-able but not so easy on older MBPs)
Put it in a cheap enclosure
Connect it the new computer
Boot up new computer.
If the new computer has never been run before the Setup Assistant will ask if you want to import your apps, data, settings etc from either another mac, another HD connected to the Mac or a Time Machine back up.
Obviously chose the second option (another HD connected to this Mac) and follow prompts.
If the new computer has already been run (so Setup Assistant doesn't run when you boot it up), you will need to use Migration Assistant...or run the installer again so that Setup Assistant runs again.

No. If the photos are in a backup you made already then you can get them back by restoring from backup.
If they are in your PhotoStream you can get them from your stream. See that topic of:

Copy all the content on your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes. Then go ahead and sync the iPod with your new library.

You can't reformat it and not wipe everything on it.
Have you tried a different USB port?
Only other option, back it up on a different computer.
