I don hear any audio from my device ..its hp pavilon dv6 i7

i don hear audio from my device and its hp pavilon dv6 i7 product no: WY913EA#ACB

Hi,
Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50642.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

Please can you help me.  I don't hear any sound from my speakers, I have done all trouble shooting and they all indicate that speakers are working properly

    Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

    Hi,
Please note that by performing a System Restore, your personal files and documents on the notebook are not affected. However, performing a System Recovery will certainly wipe all the files and documents in your unit.
Also, System Restore will only help if the unit was working fine before. As you have mentioned  the sound has not worked properly since the day you purchased the machine, I would suggest you to try connecting a headphone on your notebook and check whether the issue still persists.
If the sound is working fine while using the headphone then it can be an issue with the internal speakers. You may also try connecting an external speakers to isolate the issue or try playing the default audio file that was preshipped with the notebook.
Microsoft too has a fixit, which you may run visiting the web link below.
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/AudioPlayback/
Let me know whether this helps
    regards

I would do 1 thing at a time:"now the micropohone is not working in facetime"
Here is what you can check to get your mike working in facetime:
    1. Hold down option while you click on the speaker next to time a. date,
under input Device see if your mic is marked. If not: ✔️
    2. Click the apple top left/System Prefs./click on the Sound speaker:
    under Input highlight microphone.
    3. When you have factime on go to video above scroll and see if your mic is marked ✔️
If that does not get it to work there is more you can check:
    (Utilities/Audio, midi setup)
For any other audio device you do this for input and output.
If you get stock post back

Did you already reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, try to set it up as new device, explained here:
How to back up your data and set up as a new device

  • Why I can't hear any noise from my earphones connected with my Mac?

If I plug in my Earphones, my MacBook shows that my headphones are connected and I also can control my music with the buttons on my EarPods. However, I cannot hear any noise from them. What is wrong there?
I have already checked everything in the settings and the Midi setup but it still does not work.
    What can I do?

    Hi ..
    You've checked System Preferences?
Open System Preferences > Sound then select the Output tab.
Make sure the correct device is selected.

  • The volume on my iPad 3 has gone. I've checked the mute button, tried restarting, resetting etc and nothing has changed. I can't hear the music, hear any sound from videos. Most times the video stops playing after a seconds. My iPad 3 is only 2 months ol.

If you have lost all sound and video is freezing on you, that ain't good. Your iPad is two months old so I would not hesitate to contact Apple at all. You are entitled to 90 days of phone support.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/contact/.
If you want to try a couple of things on your own, try quitting all apps and then reboot the iPad - not so much for the sound issue itself - but more as a general "start all over again" sort of approach. It might help with the video freezes.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you use headphones on occasion, you can try plugging and unplugging those as well and see if the sound comes back.
You could even try restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restore from a backup, but unless there is something totally hosed on the iPad, that should not be necessary with a two month old device - of course assuming that you didn't drop the iPad or do something accidental that could be causing the problems.

  • When I have two clips, one above the other, I would like to hear the audio from one at a time. How do I suppress temporarily one of that, in a easier way? Thank you.

When I have two clips, one above the other, I would like to hear the audio from one at a time. How do I suppress temporarily one of that, in a easier way? Thank you.

I would think you would drop down the audio level lines in the "Stereo" tab (FCP 6.0.6 view to me) in the clip's video window.
But then again, in my old version, I can't play two clips at once.  But I figure if the newer FCP allow you to do that, then that's what I would do.
