I don't have a Camera Raw option in Photoshop CS5. Where do I get the correct plug in??

I have been trying to download plugins for the Camera Raw option for Photoshop CS5. It is not working....I get a message that 6.4 is not found and 6.5 not compatible. Where can I get the correct download for Windows 7? I am very frustrated.

For CS5 you can download 6.7 Do not need the prior ones as they are cumulative.

I want to do two-pass sharpening - capture and output - with output capture done just before I print. I do the initial (capture) sharpening in the ACR Detail/Sharpening panel, with Amount slider set to, for example, 100. Then, I open the image to PS CS5 as a Smart Object, and use layers and masks for further editting.
My question is, can I go back to ACR for the final (output) sharpening pass? When I re-open the file in ACR, the Sharpening Amount slider is back to zero, but the other three sliders are still at the settings I used at the start of the process, i.e., the capture sharpening. If I again set the Amount slider to a positive value, then again open the image in PS for printing, will my second pass through the ACR Sharpening panel take effect - will it accumulate on top of the initial sharpening?
By the way, the reason I want do output sharpening in ACR rather than, say, PS Unsharp Mask, is so I can use the Masking slider in ACR, which is much easier than the comparable techniques available in PS. I am aware that some say you should not do any masking for the output sharpening. I'd like to though.

This is pretty much the way I do it, and I also always found ACR sharpening superior to anything in Photoshop. There is the "sharpen for output" in ACR, but you have little control over it.
The tricky part is feeding the file through ACR a second time. I don't think re-opening the Smart Object will do anything more than you could have done the first time. I do it with a rendered TIFF, and have an intricate set of actions that I run in the Image Processor Pro. It's a mess, and you don't want to know.
The frustrating part is how to action ACR. I just can't figure it out. It'll work, and then I have to change some setting and the action stops working. I suspect you need a script, but so far I haven't found any.
So I've come to a compromise: I first process to TIFF in a temp folder, then I bulk open them in ACR to sharpen, then a second process to finish up.
For less critical files I have a sharpening action that comes close, involving edge masks and blend ifs, using smart sharpen which tends to preserve edges better than unsharp mask, and with less accumulation of noise.
Bottom line: I'm also very interested in further comments to this. BTW, I recently bought Lightroom 4, so maybe there is a posibility using that in a mixed workflow.

If the camera is fairly new then the version of ACR you have with CS5 won't be able to read those file. You'll need to upgrade to a newer version of Photoshop or use Lightroom 5.
Once a new version of Photoshop comes out Adobe does not support updating ACR from the older version of PS.

I have Adobe Photoshop CS5, version 12.0.4. I am trying to open camera raw files ending in ARW (Hasselblad Stellar Camera) and PhotoShop tells me there are no updates available. I have downloaded the mac os file (using Yosemite, latest version) and get the message the installation was successful, however, PhotoShop still shows that the Camera Raw Version is still 6.0.0.205. I can view the ARW files in finder, however when I try to open the file in PhotoShop CS5 I get this message:
Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.

you can update ps cs5 to cr 6.7

i'm not sure which camera you have but the hassleblad stellar II needs cr 8.8 or better.
your options (if that's your camera) are to upgrade ps or to use the dng converter.

Can I open Nikon D600 Camera RAW files in Photoshop CS5 Extended?

We've got CS5.5 and a new D600. The NEF (RAW) files will not display. I've downloaded the DNG converter (7.2) as a workaround but it's not great. Spoke with Apple and they say I'll have to upgrade to CS6, which in turn will mean upgrading the OS on this Mac which will in turn require a new computer. All this to get a version of the ACR Plugin that works. OUTRAGEOUS!!

Sorry, but the D600 is not supported by Photoshop CS5.1, support for it was only added in CS6 with ACR 7.2. What kind of computer do you have?
If you (understandibly) don't want to get a new computer, it might make sense to use Lightroom to do your RAW editing, and then open them in Photoshop if you so need.

Your firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible. Firefox will not open and I don't have another internet program on my computer. How can I get the profile back?

Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article [[Recovering important data from an old profile]]? There are steps in there that might help you. You might just want to create a new profile and start fresh.

On windows with iTunes 11 on it then control-S gets the left-hand sidebar to show, and on a Mac option-command-S does similar. Then select the iTunes Store on that sidebar, click App Store at the top of the store home page, and find a free app, click on its free price, and then click 'create Apple id' on the popup

Using the Camera Raw Filter from photoshop cc 2014, I dont get all the tools, e.g. crop icon is not available. Are some features restricted?

I only seem to have 10 icons (features) available to use, for example the crop or straighten features are missing. Are these features restricted by some settings?

I don't have a problem. I want to understand how I can get the bookmarks imported to Firefox sync now that Xmarks will be discontinued.

I have all my bookmarks sync'd via Xmarks, across computers. Now that Xmarks is being discontinued, I want to have my bookmarks sync'd via Firefox sync. So how do I make sure that once I install Firefox sync, I get all my bookmarks from Xmarks into Firefox sync. I assume I import, but it doesn't say anything about this in the info about Firefox sync. Before I install, I want to know what measures to take with the bookmarks from Xmarks. Thanks for taking the time to answer this, I am sure, simplistic question.

As with Xmarks, Firefox Sync will import the bookmarks on your local computer. The bookmarks on your computer should be up to date and include any changes that are on the Xmarks servers. There is no need for Firefox Sync to import the data from the Xmarks server, it just needs to import the bookmarks on your computer.

Why doesn't my Bridge (CS2) show "open camera raw" option?

I just downloaded adobe photoshop CS2 and of course tried to open Bridge too, it had the dll. problem but I fixed it but now when I would like to edit my pictures it doesn't even give the camera raw option. How do I fix this?

You have to provide more details about system and what files you are trying to view. But honestly I can't remember if it was an option already in CS2. This was Bridge version 1 and we are now in Bridge version 6. It also use Camera Raw at max version 3.7 and current version in CC 2014 is 8.5.
I doubt many people will remember how it was back then, you are talking about an application released in 2005, almost 10 years ago...

If any apps do not see the camera try other Mac User Accounts (create one if required).
IF that does not seem to get any app to see the camera check the System Profiler. (Should be under Hardware > USB)
