I do not have a CD playback icon in ITunes in the lower left-hand corner. As a consequence, unable to import music from a CD. How can I fix this?

When you put a CD in your computer's CD drive, iTunes will open up a window such as this;
and as you can see, Import CD is shown in the top right side. Alternatively, if you have the sidebar showing, you will see this instead:
but which still has Import CD in the same place as before.

The iphone is not a backup/storage device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Have you failed to do this?

Very likely. Hard to believe the carrier in Mexico doesn't have a micro-SIM card available.
Or somehow the Chinese carrier found out and locked it?

What can I do? Get a new SIM and see if it works again?
Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget.

I have turned off, removed apps, tried to reinstall them. iTunes can't download them either, the updates for them won't work.
Never had problems with iPhones until now and this has really annoyed me... Apps have cost me money have had to go because they won't function

Hi,
First, close all the apps who are running in the same time.
You can desactivate few "notification" who drain the battery so.
You can put off the auto configure of the hour.
You can turn off bluetooth or wifi or both when no using.
I suggest you to disable the automatic sync with mail accounts and see if the problem goes away. Put in in manually.
when you go away from the mail app, it is still trying to finish to sync even in sleep/lock mode and the battery is dead within hours. Also, you can close the mail app.
In few weeks, an update will arrive with corrections.

I had the same problem and tried restarting my computer. It configured windows updates for a while, then iTunes downloaded successfully. Hope this helps!

Mistakenly added feed burner, don't have a blog and it keeps asking me to set my feed. How do i get this to stop it won't let me do anything else.

I mistakenly added feed burner. I thought i was setting up to add blogs etc. that i was already subscribed to. Now it keeps asking me to "set your feed" and because of the drop down window asking for this it will let me do nothing else. I had to ask for this help in safari because firefox will do nothing now.
