I don't have a cellular connection with the new update.

I'm using Telus in Canada. Can anyone help me out? I've tried restarting my phone and turning the cell connection on and off. TIA!

    Try a Reset holding the Sleep button and the Home button together until Apple logo shows up and then wait for the Reset to return you to the lock-screen.   If you still don't have service check Settings>General>About and then scroll down to Carrier and see if your Service Provider is listed.

    It appears to be a bug with the current build. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next release.

    Same thing happened here ~ tech guy at a local authorized Apple repair store said it had something to do with improper backup from which the restore would be made. Still have a phone that asks to be connected to Itunes but won't do anything else . . . frustrated.

  • I need help with the new update

    I am at a complete loss on what to do. I have been trying to install the new update but it keeps bringing up an error. I have searched on here for some solutions and I believe I am not doing this right. I have uninstalled all the items everyone has suggested (ex. Bonjour...) and rebooted. I went and downloaded iTunes again but two things keep happening:
    1. While the iTunes Setup is installing and pop-up box says "Object already exists" and this pops up multiple times
    and
    2. After those messages go away another pop up says "iTunes Installer completed - Errorc occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again."
    What am I doing wrong here? Can someone please help me? I have a Windows 7 laptop.

    For "Object already exists" or "Access denied" errors when installing try opening Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates then checking for Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2918614). Uninstall if you have it, then reboot, and try installing iTunes again.

    If you have a backup on iCloud or iTunes you would not have lost all your data, the update went fine on my phone and my wifes and many others. On forums you dont see the millions of users saying it went well, just the few with issues. If you had no backup thats not Apples fault, thats yours. The same will happen whatever platform you go to if you dont back your data up.

    Thank you for your question, I understand that it is annoying to have to move a new window to the second screen. Since it opens in the active screen this may have been a stored preference, however it is not the default.
    There is an add on called [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/monitor-master/ Monitor Master] that customizes settings like this. Check it out.

    Downloaded latest update 7-27 and all I can say is it is the most pitiful piece of feces I have ever seen. Letters are blue with black background and you can't read **** because of the contrast . What was wrong with the white letters and black background, nothing except some idiot has to justify his miserable existence by making changes on a system that was just fine. Contacts are another issue now that it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 steps to get there. Unlocking the phone is another one , why should I have to unlock it just to have another screen to ask me where to go. I have been on the phone with Verizon as well as going to the store for help in deciphering this new pitiful update. The answers from the help at the stores is to email Google or Verizon about these issues .I purchased the original droid in dec. of 2009 and was happy with it. then upgraded to the razr jan 2012 and have been pleased with it till this latest update and now If I could get anything else  I would, another thing is I would NOT recommend the droid to anyone for purchase.I have even tought about getting the iphone at this point because I am so dissatisfied . when I decided to post this I tried the user name of irked , it was taken as well as ******, so apparently I'm not the only disgusted user.

    Turned out the hardware was bad.  Apple exchanged it for a new Mac Air and the new trackpad works great.  Thank goodness it was a defect.  If the trackpads all worked like that I would have been bummed.
