I don't have a problem. I want to understand how I can get the bookmarks imported to Firefox sync now that Xmarks will be discontinued.

I have all my bookmarks sync'd via Xmarks, across computers. Now that Xmarks is being discontinued, I want to have my bookmarks sync'd via Firefox sync. So how do I make sure that once I install Firefox sync, I get all my bookmarks from Xmarks into Firefox sync. I assume I import, but it doesn't say anything about this in the info about Firefox sync. Before I install, I want to know what measures to take with the bookmarks from Xmarks. Thanks for taking the time to answer this, I am sure, simplistic question.

As with Xmarks, Firefox Sync will import the bookmarks on your local computer. The bookmarks on your computer should be up to date and include any changes that are on the Xmarks servers. There is no need for Firefox Sync to import the data from the Xmarks server, it just needs to import the bookmarks on your computer.

At the present time, purchased ringtones cannot be redownloaded. You would need to import them to your iTunes library on a computer and sync them to your other devices. You can get Mifi devices (the iPad connects to it via wifi and they then give access to 3G networks). I've never used one and I don't know if they are available in Canada (and if so how much they would cost). If you have an iPhone then you could also use that as a mobile hotspot

Was this book downloaded using iBooks, or from another application? If it was from iBooks you will need to install that application to delete it.

YouTube is no longer native in iOS. There are loads of posts on this, so the search bar can be your friend. There is a YouTube app in the App Store. Download it and you'll have YouTube.
You can NOT get rid of Passbook. It is a new Apple Native App and is built into the iOS. If you don't like it, you can put in a folder or on another page, but you can't delete anything Native.

You can restore a backup of the old device to a new one. This will erase everything on the new one before restoring, so this may be an issue if you already have data on the new device.
To do a backup of the old device, iTunes is the safest route, in my opinion. Many users have lost photos when performing a restore from an icloud backup.
An icloud backup does not include everything. For example,only photos in camera roll are backed up. Also, music is not backed up since you get it back from itunes and (for purchased music) from the itunes store.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your phone. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Your i-device was not designed to be a reliable unique storage for your media. It is not a backup device and everything is structured around you maintaining your media on a computer which is itself backed up. Sync transfer is one way, computer to device, matching the device content to the content on the computer (except purchased content as mentioned below). For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will probably have to use third party commercial software unless you have an older model iPod. You can either use Office for Mac 2011 or use Boot Camp to run Windows or use a VM, such as Parallels Desktop to run Windows. Running Windows, you'd be able to use MS Office for Windows.
