I don't get sound on my iPad 2 games purchased from the App Store like mine raft, mega run, and order up! My speakers work because there is sound when using YouTube, music, Netflix, and videos. How can I get the sound for my games back?
You have system sounds muted.
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

If you were looking for help, I assume you would have told us about your sound card, how your system is configured, whether you are using a desktop/window manager, which one, the articles in the wiki you have researched, and what you have tried.
Edit: I'm apparently in a bad mood. I'm going to go outside and do some yard work. It is a beautiful 75 degree F day here in So Cal

Since I updated my HP Envy H8-1513C i don't have any sounds coming from my monitors. I also can't seem to get any sync cords for my iphone 4 to work with my computer. These always worked before the update???
I recommend going through the troubleshooting section in this document to see if any of that can resolve your issue.
Have you tried a hard reset yet?
I work on behalf of HP (But this isn't my job)

Do you have sound coming from the audio output port using headphones? If so, when the plug is pulled out, is there a red light?

Hi law4003,
Please make sure all the jacks are properly inserted in all ports. Check also the SPEAKER SETTINGS in Audio Settings of your TV. Make sure EXTERNAL or AUDIO system is selected.

TS3274 Don't have any sound on some of my games
I use to have sound on all of my games and today I went to play them and there is no sound at all. There are some of my games I still have sound thou. My smurffs, where's my water and some of my other games I first got don't have sound but my bingo , music pratice ones have sound. What is the problem am I going to have to uninstall them and reinstall them?
This usually would mean that you have system sounds muted if none of your games have sound.
Do these apps that don't have sound have their own volume controls? Most games do have it in the settings as an option.
Just in case .....

Ipad2 no sound with weather channel app. Settings indicate sound level is up. Can anyone help? Thanks
You havn't got notifications muted have you ? Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to notifications can be muted either by the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad or via the taskbar (whatever the switch is set to control, the other function is controlled via the left end of the taskbar). More info here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

Suddenly I don't have any sound and the mute is not on
I have checked the systems preference under sound and the only output device that shows is internal speakers built in output. The mute is not on either the system as a whole and in iTunes. There is no voice, no music, no sound at all. I have rebooted several times. No headphones are plugged in and I unplugged everything from the USB ports. What else can I do? Thanks!
try resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM

Window.bounds gives weird results
I run without Application Frame and without Application Bar. I see no point to the former and the latter is just a shocking waste of space. For years, I've been using a handful of scripts to manage my window positions. One of them is now misbehaving.
