I don't have color support in terminals under X

The topic pretty much says it all, I have no colors in any terminal under X but color support is perfect in text mode. How can I enable color support in the X based terminals. I have used several distros up to now, have spend quite some time using freebsd but never had such a problem...

That did it. Thanks very much!

  • I don't have color settings in Lightroom 5!

I don't have "HSL/Color/B&W" section under the "Develop" at all.
I know where it should be - I can see "Basic, Tone Curve, Split Toning, Detail, Lens Corrections, Effects and Camera Calibration" but that's all.
    What can I do?

Lightroom 5.6, Mac 10.7.5. Command-click is not working for me. I've lost the HSL panel just recently.
Are you getting a menu like this?
You need to cmd+click onto the title of one of the other panels - right on the words, such as "Tone Curve".
HSL is found inside a panel called "Adjustments"; you will also have lost "Color" and "B&W".

I don't have a software update under my General settings on my IPad or IPhone 4 and I want to update to 5 IOS

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

  • How to undo remember password on a work computer (don't have access to 'Security' tab under 'Options'

Accidently pressed 'remember password' when logging into Gmail via Firefox. Unfortunately am using a work computer and don't have access to the 'Security' tab under 'Options'. How do I go about undoing the remember password function? I've cleared all history, passwords etc and have shut down computer (this happened yesterday, logged back in today and details still saved).

You can try running firefox with the profile manager open (firefox.exe -p in run or right click the icon and add properties and stick it to the end of the target ("C:\Program Files (x86)\mozilla firefox\firefox.exe" - p) Then try deleting that profile and creating a new one.

This was the exact error message.  I did contact Apple and was on the phone a very long time with them.  It did not fix the problem, however, it is an HP Windows 7 issue it looks like.
    Thank you for your assistance.

    What Jao vdL said.
This issue is fixed in Lightroom 5.2 and later. All other versions up to and including Lightroom 5.1 will have white sliders in OS X Mavericks.

  • How to contact Apple support if I don't have a support plan acquired?

    Hi all,
As i posted on my previous thread : https://discussions.apple.com/message/16754173#16754173
I am having trouble restoring from back up after upgrading to IOS5 and would appreciate any help given.
I am using an IPAD that was synched to a lost computer and now I attempted upgrading to IOS5 by using a second computer which already had one IPAD back up on it (the back up refers to my previous IPAD).
After doing a back-up on the second computer, and upgrading to IOS5, I am not being able to restore the new back up. It only loads the back up from my previous IPAD.
I am desperate for a solution and would like to know hot to contact Apple support since iTunes had promped me to back-up the files, and I did, prior to updating to the new IOS.
    Thanking you in advance,
    Arementeria

I was going to suggest to you last night to delete the one backup that iTunes keeps recognizing and see if it will then recognize the correct backup, but I would hate to see you do that and lose both backups. Use the link above to contact Apple.

  • I have downloaded the latest Itunes and now I can't launch it because I don't have Apple Support application. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled three or four times with the same error code 2 On vista, how can this be fixed?

Where do I download Apple Support Application for Itunes?

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
