Your computer should have come with two DVDs with gray labels. Open the Optional Software folder on Disc One. Double-click on the Optional Installs package. iLife applications should be installable from that package installer.

What was suppose to come with the Jay-Z album?

I received my email saying the album was available. I clicked the link to download. iTunes charged me the original $0.99 for the Blue Magic single and $9.99 to download the album.

You were even able to download his new album of iTMS? I checked earlier this morning and when I tried to pick up the album I got an error saying it wasn't available to the United States.
Now I'm searching tonight, and the album has been completely removed from their store.

Case that is SUPPOSED to come with iPod

I recieved an iPod Nano this Christmas from my parents. I did not realize it at the time, but apparently I am supposed to get a grey case with it. I did not get this and I am wondering what I should do. Should I call apple or what can someone help me please.

Looking for the free apps that are supposed to come with MacBook.

I was told instead of a recieving a CD I had to download software like iPhoto from iTunes. The only option I see is to pay for it. I was told it was included. What am I missing?

When I got my Late 2011 MBP in Dec., it had Lion and did NOT have any of the iLife components. After I migrated all my stuff from the corpse of my Early 2008 MBP with Leopard, lo and behold, iLife sprang to life again. And was even allowed to upgrade each component to the latest version, via the App Store, for free.

Why haven't I received the CD that was supposed to go with the book Objective-C

I can't seem to get my iMac (late 2009 model) into automatic sleep mode. If I manually put it into sleep I don't have any issues. I used to solve the issue by running "PleaseSleep" application but that doesn't work anymore since Lion.

I used to solve the issue by running "PleaseSleep" application but that doesn't work anymore since Lion. I now want to fix the underlying problem.
I'm not running any weird background processes and in my energy saver settings I've tagged "put the hard disk to sleep when possible:, "allow power button to put computer to sleep" and "automatically reduce brigthness". All pretty standard.
Is there anyone who can give me some pointers ?

Today I solved the same problem for my iMac running Snow Leopard. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3008791#15947706. The method may help you, too.
For me it was the DynDNS Updater preventing my iMac from automatically entering sleep mode.
To my knowledge the cause of this sleep problem can only be a peripheral device or a process. So I suggest to first unplug all peripherals and test whether that's the cause. If not, I suggest to terminate one process after another and to test automatic entering of sleep mode after each. Start with user processes; continue with system process if necessary.
At least that's the way I found the offending process. Fortunately, I was able to change the configuration of that process to allow again automatic entering of sleep mode.
