I don't have the icon in my iTunes window for family sharing.
I recently set up Family sharing on my iTunes account. I added my wife to my account. On her iTunes window there is an icon that can be used to select which library to view. That icon does not show up in my iTunes window.

The AirPlay feature is only available whe you have an Apple Tv. You can mirror the display form your iPad if the iPad and Apple Tv are both connected to the same WPA (or the same Wi-Fi). Air Drop is a way of sharing files, such as pictures, PDFs, and text documents. Hope this helps.

There will be no icon for a software update on your phone. If your iOS is 5.0 or later look in Settings > Software Update
If you are running an iOS version earlier than 5.0 you need to connect your phone to the computer you normally sync with. Start iTunes on your computer, select your phone in iTunes and select General in the row of tabs that are patented. Scroll down to Check for Updates and follow the prompts. -
I would like to play music from my iPhone 5 on the speakers attached to my computer at work. I don't have the authority to download itunes onto the computer. Can I play the music from the phone without having itunes on the computer?

There is an updated version number 10.7.0.21 that is available if you go to the iTunes link here on Apple.com. It won't show up under Apple Software Update and if you check for updates via iTunes it likely won't show either.

I have an iPad that was setup on a laptop that has been reimaged. The iPad then had a password put on it and my kid who doesn't rememer the password. Since I don't have the original laptop with iTunes installed I cannot reset the iPad to the factory default. Any suggestions on how to reset to the iPad?

I have created files within the mail app and want them to be the same on my mac and iphone.You need a mail server that supports this then. Hotmail premium I believe does, but the free version does not. Gmail supports it, and any ISP that offers IMAP supports this capability. iCloud definitely supports it, so if you create a free iCloud email account and switch your primary email to it you would have this capability.

Someone changed the settings on my iPhone so that I can no longer update or add apps. The icon no longer appears. Can someone please tell me how to add that back?
I should have added that the iTunes app is not displayed on my phone in order for me to add the apps.

I am trying to get the latest version of ITunes on my laptop, but the download gets "interrupted" every time. THen I can't synch with any devices. I've tried recycling ITunes and downloading again. I am not sure I've actually uninstalled the old version though. How should I proceed?

The app is not telling you that you need 9.1 on your iPad.
It does not use iTunes on the iPad for anything.
I'm trying to figure the version on my iPad.
It is the version that comes with your specific iOS firmware version.
But again, it is irrelevant to the app.
If you just got the iPad, it (the iPad) requires iTunes 10.4 on your computer. -
I share an apple ID with my whole family, therefore there are hundreds of playlists and thousands of songsfrom the many computers. Can I make it so that only the playlists and songs from my computer to which my devices are synced to, are the ones that show up on my devices with out having to sync them all to my phone, ipad, etc.
iTunes match will only work from a computer in terms of uploading new content. You should be able to copy iTunes purchases back via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11). Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first). -

I don't have the Photo app on my home screen. Where do I find this? I think this is what I must use to view photos from my photo stream?
My photo icon on icloud.com did not appear until I went to my device (ipad in my case) and went to settings...Photos and Camera and toggle on iCloud Photo and Library (Beta) then refresh the icloud.com page.
